He is one of the people who try to pass and sell reps or franken's on ebay and other places as Gen's. He needs these pretty badly to keep it all going. He's not the only one either, people come here just to buy a rep or Franken with the intent of reselling elsewhere as the real deal. We should condemn that behaviour just as much as a traditional scammer, which he used to be.
I haven't paid Freddy, I wanted to verify what he wrote which was that all the parts were there and it was running. Once I found out from you guys that a few parts were missing I promptly emailed him with that information. He acted like he had no idea and that he's not a watchmaker.. He offered to cancel the transaction and I accepted. Case closed. I'm still on the hunt for a 1030
Prob saved someone else a headache as well because he was dishonest in the description, here it is..
Very clean Rolex cal. 1030 movement from late 1950s for very early Submariners and many other Oyster Perpetuals. It is complete and is in fully working condition. Tested for time keeping. It is absolutely accurate. Movement
Hi guys, I need some help. I know I should have asked first but I saw this for sale on ebay at 5-6am this morning and didn't have time to post.. Can you guys tell me if you can tell from these pics that this 1030 is ok. I know a lot about the big crowns but still can't tell if a movement is complete or has replacement parts. Any help would be great, if its ok ill pay the man tomorrow. Thanks in advance.
Holy cow, you are really getting the hang of this! The chocolate insert that you made and put on the 6538 is SICK! It really looks great, and the Black bay insert looks better than the one that come with a Black bay imo. You're on to something, if I had a black bay I'd prefer your insert to the gen and that's saying a lot.
That is a great picture. Most people have one of those as their grail build and you have them all! They are all stunning and the attention to detail is admirable. Enjoy!
Thanks for the info, I truly didn't realize that was happening. I should be more careful about the pics I put up, but I guess there's really nothing we can really do about it.
I've seen posts about watches on ebay and such being fake but I've never seen one which talks about one of our frankens.. I've seen Philipp talk about a few rep dials but never the whole watch from what I've seen
