Can you use his tube with your crown? I do that often to avoid case/tube fitment issues. Try screwing your gen crown onto his tube. You don't have to mark the parts.. He is honest and won't swap them if that's what you're thinking.

I have been following, I can't get over these prices, a member who was there said it was Chinese investors/collectors buying them up. But as others have mentioned they are paying 2-3x for what they go for through a private collector/dealer. I can't understand, again as others have said, why they wouldn't just acquire one from a collector/dealer. Instead the buyer/s are spending way too much. Freddy, for 200-250k either one of us could contact Eric or one of the other super high end dealers and pick up a 6538 for example, just like the one sold today. It makes no sense to walk into an auction and pay that much more than the appx market price unless they are trying to manipulate the market using a very public setting

I just tried from the USPS site and I'm afraid the tracking is showing that it hasn't been officially sent. I've never seen this before. It's like he gave you a tracking number for a parcel he never shipped and for some reason 23 days later it showed up as received by the post office in china which should have then moved on to the states but didn't.

We lost 6-1 and are out for the year.. Thank you all for the nice comments, it makes me feel better after such an ass wooping! I have to say that I'm very fortunate to be part of a community filled with amazing people that really cares about eachother. Here's to all those who make this a better place.

They are almost identical. I would in retrospect be happy with either, I guess there's something about phong's finish that I like but really they are very similar and with the right parts are both equally convincing

I meant 650$, was quoting your price I just forgot it was 650$!? He offers the 1450$ price to anyone so that makes buying the entire case set the only way to go

I've learned with phong that buying a complete case is way more affordable. He doesn't like selling parts, that's pretty obvious! He quoted something like 400$ for a 6538 case back, 350$ for the bezel 1000$ for the midcase etc. and when you add it all up its way more than the entire case set.. His 6538 set is 1650$ which he will do for 1450$ with that you get everything except the dial hands and movement.

May I ask what you need that for?
