  1. Good luck sir. I have been tempted in the past to come to you for a suit, so this will be great!!
  2. many many thanks Andy.........will check a few in the area.........
  3. Well.....the DSSD bracelets can be very hit or miss, and mine was a good one (till now). Hence I'd rather a welding expert have a go than risk a complete replacement. Thanks anyway.....
  4. After some 3 years of use with zero problems, today my clasp on my DSSD broke!!! There's a welded section joining the main clasp (that folds) to the first link on the bottom side of the bracelet (where the Rolex puch over clasp is). 2 tiny weld spots, but I'm butterfingers and can't even begin to think about doing it myself. Any Spain / EU modders good at small precision welding here????? BR
  5. main issue with secs at 9 white dials is that NO REP has the recessed secs at 9. They are all just printed flat. So better white dial no secs at 9. Otherwise a very easy tell.
  6. 12 marker looks crooked, but could be the angles. Second pic suggests it's not straight.....
  7. not crapping.....but the font on the datewheel looks different to other omegas, including my (4 year old) gen 45.5mm PO. Has Omega changed the date font?
  8. erm....don't think those are 113's as 113 has seconds at 9. Perhaps a type error.......
  9. For me stunning, but I'll wait to see what the real Fiddy gurus say - Babola where r u????
  10. mine gone too -shows in my member profile but in sales forums says I can't add new topics....
  11. new 104 auto just released by trusty, so all dealers will have it soon. From first pics looks good. A7750 though.
  12. Arrghhh - Pug's back. Brilliant.....welcome back 'young man'..... Give's a fish!
  13. Hey. PUG's back!!! For EU you can also try Hijack. He's in Spain, very good and well priced. Can do the pearl also. Gen dial and hands will set you back like $250 + all shipping and fitting. It IS the best route, but the rep set re-lume is good 'cheaper' option. You can find Hijack here (sometimes) or more often on RepGeek...
  14. Just wondered if anyone knew if there was a rep of the PAM 356 planned - Daylight crono with 'dirty' vintage lume, and round crono pushers. Base would be a Luminor case, and I guess A7753 movement. Just curious if 'those in the know' knew anything.......
  15. I've a spare gen crown and tube that you could have installed when you send to Domi. Should solve the problem. PM me.
  16. re lume..... Reps come with blue lume. Gen (as per photo in this chain) is turquoise blue/green, not pure blue. Seen gens in dealers and they have this blue green.
  17. Hijack in Spain. He can be found sometimes here, but mostly in RepGeek. Great guy. Just did my DSSD and it's perfect to gen (colour and application) including the pearl.....
  18. erm. If you plan a gen 7753 movement you'll need a new datewheel. And same goes for changing the fitted datewheel on the A7753. I believe in the original reviews when these came out, it was identified that the datewindow in the A7753 is slightly differently positioned to the real 7753 movement models. The datewheel in the A7753 has a different diameter. So you can't use a gen 7753 with the A7753 model dial as the datewheel won't align in the window. I think The Zigmeister's (and other's) reviews all talked about this. Could be wrong.......
  19. Welll....I have a gen 45.5 PO and the crown and tube have been replaced 4 times in 1 year. I sent the watch to Omega for a service. During this they changed the crown and tube. 3 months after it came back the crown stopped screwing in. I took it to the dealer, complained, and they had it repaired (new crown and tube) by their Omega certified watchsmith. 2 months later it happened again, so I go back and they replace once again. Now last week it's happened again. I've called them and am pending taking the watch back for another repair. It seems the tube is slipping back into the case. The only alternative now is to have the tube 'welded' into the case. This will stop it slipping, but will complicate any work necessary in the future. So it happens on gens also...... I have a 6 year old Seamaster 300 (Bond but black face) - gen - and the crown has NEVER given any problems. Bullet proof!!!! Also on the PO there are issues over the bezel fading, and also the dial under sunlight.......
  20. Hi. For last 2 days after I log in, the pull down menu by my user name (top right) appears and is stuck. Thus covering the new posts button, sign out etc. Anyone else having this problem? Admin - can you help?? Thanx
  21. Thanks guys. Shock now over and prognosis from the dentist looking good, so all are happier. Especially Duncan who is actively abusing his TV allowance, and seems to have wangled that we buy a dog!!! And he called by school today to pick up homework for while he's off, and managed to scare some of his friends with his 'grin', so the battle scars comparisons are well underway. Loads of his mates sent e.mails and MSN comments this afternoon, which helps reinforce his network of friends... Really thanks to all. I just started this thread as a vent of frustration and nerves. Much worse can happen as Eton has said here - that is a tragedy. The world is full of strife I know. So we move on and get it all sorted out. Thanks again to all....
  22. Thanks all. @wombat - partially understand where you're comming from, but read the other update I included here. He's 12....and already done his share of soul development through suffering. I think he deserves a break was my point... And we're certainly not moping about the place. His parents are the first to try to distract him and help him overcome this, so thanks anyway.. Today they removed the nerve from the worst tooth. Re-construction starts tomorrow.....
