Take the cash. Then take your time, should you desire, to choose your own watch unless the daytona happens to be the specific one that you fancy. No reason to take a watch even if it is priced below market, if you do not have a liking for it.

Hello from Singapore! Any Singaporeans about???
Legend replied to ceilistor's topic in Introduction/Rules/Support
Welcome to RWG. A few things please: 1. I am based in Singapore. I am also a fire-breathing dragon at times. 2. @kinkinza is not a "bro". 3. @solitudex is a "bro", and based in Singapore too. You guys share the same.. taste for watches I see. Navitimer: something I cannot unsee once seen lol. Lastly, enjoy yourselves, and remember that if and when you do PM me (you will once solitudex comes into the picture), having good manners is the way to go forward. -
Meanwhile, while this is being sorted out, please do not deal with this person. Be extra diligent when trading please guys. Whether the identity story is true or not, it still spells bad news for someone dealing with this entity. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Thank you sir.

Thank you M. Please continue to share your resources with the community, and your skills and knowledge are appreciated here like I said. But please improve on the communication and handling of after-service issues. That is one thing that stands between you being someone we endorse, and someone we won't. I will not stand in your way, but I do not want complaints to reach me please M.
-
I want to be very clear about this @SSTEEL. The RWG crew does not endorse your services as a watchsmith. You are here as a member and if you choose to provide such services to members privately, and if said members choose to send their watches to you, it will be a private arrangement between you and the owner and the crew should not be involved for any aftersales troubleshooting like the case with @Jordanf1 I hope I make myself very clear on this, on what has been explicitly said, and what is tacitly implied. So yes, your skills and willingness are well appreciated here M, but I hope you can take more responsibility for your work when buyers have issues with them after you sent them back. And if I ever read or hear once more, that just because a watch you repaired has been opened up by another watchsmith, and therefore you cannot be responsible, or that you base your claim that a watch is working based only a pre-shipping QC video, then I will personally shut you down here. That is pure BS and not things a responsible watchsmith or modder should say. So do what you do, but know that when you collect money for your service, the community expects basic after-sale service. Don't make me go into details here please. I do not wish to escalate this further.

It can’t be you bro. There’s no Marcus among the 3. The one you’re most well-known for haha! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Better he is my hands than yours big B. I have seen what you do to watches yikes!
-
@PureTime, will you care to answer this allegation?
-
are you able to send me some screenshots of your payment via PM? I need proof that you paid them, and I need proof that it is their designated bank account. I will help you talk to PT if you can do that.

It is good to stick to dealers who are known, and even those will screw up from time to time. I am sorry to hear about your experience and hope that it was not too expensive a lesson.
-
One thing which newbies have to understand is that the dealers (trusted or otherwise) get the watches from the same factories producing them. They distribute but do not manufacture. What separates a trusted dealer from one of unknown authenticity (IMHO)is that they - actually can get the watches on their website from the factories - price their watches fairly - are honest about the specifications of the watches and avoid terms like “Swiss movement”, “100% same as original” etc for every watch listed. Yes there are reps with Swiss movements but the majority has Asian ones. - show pics of the actual watch and not misrepresenting their wares with pics of genuine ones. - provide QC pics for buyers - communicates with buyers responsibly before, during and after the sales process - sends the watch out after the QC process is approved or changes a watch to a different one upon request. - provides a tracking number for watches shipped out. Patience is a crucial aspect of this hobby. Like other human beings, modders sometimes run into personal issues as well. I doubt that Loco Louie is a scammer, or intentionally cheats. I understand that the wait and lack of communication can be acutely frustrating, and you are welcome to vent here if needed. I am monitoring this issue as well. I think that LL produces very nice watches/parts. Give him time to recover from whatever is afflicting him and I believe that he will put things right for everyone eventually.

Ok mystery solved guys. Thank you very much for your inputs Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Well it is more likely watches that need revival or mods and someone has forgotten to send me a PM about it in his excitement.
-
Hi guys I recently received a parcel of 3x watches, all APs. If you are the one, kindly send me a PM and state the model of the 3 watches please, oh, and what you need me to do with them. Thank you kindly. Legend

I shall summon the 6263 guru to chip in. @blackboxes Over to you bro.
-
So did you manage to hear from LL after the return of your watch J?
-
Now is a bad time to reorder, or order anything. Like I mentioned the factories are mostly closed for CNY. If your credit card hasn’t been charged, you’re not compromised in any way, except for some wasted time. Try another TD when the factories reopen again toward the end of this month. If you continue to have issues with the dealer, please let us know. We will do what we can to help. But I don’t foresee your problem being an unresolved one considering the dealer involved isn’t a new one. Do note that many of the rep factories are already closed for the CNY. From experience, be wary of QC watches received in this period, they could be rejects from previous orders. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Rolex Hulk on Ebay. Highly Dubious. What do you guys think?
Legend replied to Legend's topic in General Discussion
well J, I don't have the eyes for green it seems lol -
https://www.ebay.com.sg/itm/Rolex-Submariner-116610LV-Green-Dial-Stainless-Steel-Ceramic-Bezel-Hulk-Watch/282834414393?hash=item41da3eab39:g:BioAAOSwXsFadgfH The SEL fitment looks horrible. I cannot comment on the insert/dial color accuracy due to the poor lighting used. But without box and papers, and with the SEL fitment, the watch authenticity is really in severe doubt. What do you guys think?

Usually it's called "how much please?" for the rest of us. lol
