  1. hello and firstly welcome to RWG! Secondly, there is a similar discussion about the A2813 movement vs the A2824/A2836 movements. Here, a similar thread. It will help if you read it and make your own judgement.
  2. long enough, A my friend, for us to build relationships with fellow members, and TDs too.
  3. you can buy it from any dealer. Very slight variances in prices (couple of bucks) and ultimately it's about establishing a relationship with your chosen dealer to get better deals down the road. www.intime02.c0 www.puretime05.com To get you started.
  4. No you are not wrong Andy, An A2813 movement does not automatically mean a definite breakdown, and an ETA movement does not mean that it is automatically problem free. There is a full gamut of possibilities in this hobby, and it comes down to personal luck, preference, risk quotient and what we are willing to live with and what we are not. General consensus is one source of reference. Your personal experience is another. Put them together and you will have a good idea of what works for you.
  5. According to the latest puretime newsletter, 15% discount will automatically be applied if you're using WU.
  6. ah, OK then I think I have got it wrong all along, the V2J and Louie's version are separate models. Louie's is the thinned version of the V2J apparently, and every dealer offers the V2J with the mods you listed above. Thank you for clearing up the confusion, I appreciate it!
  7. Thank you@cross7 for the in-depth review. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. I’ll be happy for the community if my belief isn’t true and that the v2J is produced by another entity/factory besides Louie. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. I think puretime gets their v2J stock from Louie. So if Louie has stopped producing them, puretime will not be able to fulfill the order too. Logical right? Unless you’re thinking of the JF V2. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Mesh for me G. Somehow it matches the watch better than the engineer bracelet in my opinion. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Do keep us updated on your situation. We are concerned to see how it turns out too. Thank you for your warning to the community it is appreciated.
  12. What you could do now is to PM RWI moderator blackboxes, I believe he could help you out. His member name over here is the same. @blackboxes
  13. It could be a coincidence between your email to Louie and his public announcement, your problem with Louie could be part of the bigger problem he is facing. I have read about your issue with Louie and I do agree with you that he could have done a lot better. You were definitely not wrong to be angry or disappointed. But I am urging you to look at the big picture as well. Work with him to get the problem resolved.

  15. Good call there bro. Let’s try to help one another instead of causing further grief and pain. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Link who up bro? Aren't you also a moderator at RWI? Did you guys read the message posted by Louie on the w-archive.net homepage? If not, please at least read it and understand what is happening. http://warchive.net/product/2018-archive-notice/271/?cate_no=1&display_group=2 I am copying and pasting it here for the benefit of all. It looks like it is prudent to stop ordering from Louie at least for the time being. Bad things do happen to good guys, and he may have simply not been able to cope with his work. While he is down, let us not tread on him, While I am sure that there are cases like this, that he did not fulfill his obligations well, let us not forget that the guy also had good ideas and workmanship. Just let him gather his life around him and hopefully return stronger than before. Below is the message from Louie for those who missed it when it was posted in the AP section of this forum under the 15400 thread: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hello, it's Louie. I am writing to tell you the things I want you to know about. I am sorry that I couldn't reach you for several days. Time just flies and it's been 3~4 months already since I was registered as a seller here at RWI as if it were just a few days. It's been an honor and a great experience for me. The reason why I am writing this is that there is surely a problem in my way of doing business and also in my health. The first problem is that is my health. I was examined by a hostital because of the worsening physical condition and depression. Today I got the result. I was diagnosed I have a problem with thyroid gland. Due to this problem, I suffer from depression, lethargy, and the imbalance of my physical condition. What the doctor suggested was that I should stay away from any stressful conditions and recieve the intensive treatment needed for 1~2 months. So I decided to follow the doctor's direction. The second problem is the defect of the operation of the selling system. I've felt a lot of problems with this system. Many problems occur with the process time and QC etc. Although I did the best to meet the needs of all the members of RWI and customers, I concluded that this will result in more problems if I continue with this system. I am surely aware that these kinds of problems are obvious. I can't accept this sort of thing myself and this doesn't match our objective that we send only the best to our customers. And this problem is a minus to our customers who buy products from us, Archive. So I consider this as a stop sign that I shouldn't do this anymore. I think I should stop this as this harms people around me like Radavve and Toro and so on. I will build a better organized system with a partner who can help and collaborate with me. Lastly, the third problem. The reason I quit selling in Korea is that there are unnecessary competitions and rumors about me. Simply put, it's like politics. Likewise, there is a Korean posting proofs that I ran away with profit without sending a watch. However, the proof is not his and producing negative rumors here at RWI. I will post an article defending myself against that false claim. I get a lot of questions regarding this. But I got tired of making excuses and start to get angry. He just hates me and I don't even want to talk about it anymore. He is doing this in Korean communities and here because I don't sell watches to him. I think you are reading this, Brian. Feel satisfied now? I promise I will send all the products by 5th January. And will surely deal with all the A/S products as well. I am not leaving behind all things without all these thing left undone. Wechat is always open and will answer all the questions as before. And hope to visit RWI as often as before to communicate. This place is a good place for me as well to recognize what the users want. I will surely come back after 1~2 months and improve the system. I still have many things to show and be a little help to your valuable hobby. I thank all members, staff and the boss and apologize for any inconvenience caused by my part. Thank you. Louie. 1st January 2018.
  17. A decent Rolex rep these days, in general, cost something between $250 and $400+. A $138 Rolex will either be a special promotion piece, or in your case, one with a lower grade movement like the A2813. Yes visually it isn't bad for what it is but bear in mind that if you need to repair or service the watch movement, be prepared to spend $100 more at least, which will bring the watch cost to the start of the price region specified by me above, and almost a doubling of the watch cost for you. So think if you wish to spend the extra $100 on a better movement option like the A2824, or on service or repair of the watch if and when it requires one. Of course, it is not a definite for the service/repair possibility. This hobby, like many aspects of life, entails small risks and gambles. You need to ask yourself what works for you.
  18. Tudors in the rep world are always understated, primarily because of the gen:rep price factor. But it is a fact that they are one of the best made reps around and one of the most accurate. Good choice and classy watch. Wear her well. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. What is the color of the number indices on the bezel please? Thank you. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Newbie

And the next one who asks, shall be forced to purchase a v1 leopard Rolex daytona rep, with A7750 movement, gaudy on the wrist, and having a case which is phonebook thick.
  21. or quite possibly, and sadly, both. lol But the watch in that pic looks decidedly gen, no?
  22. such a humble troll, if there is such a thing bro. Alright, the next time someone posts a gen watch and claims it's a JF or Noob or whatever, he will be taking a two week time out.
