  1. It looks really comfortable.
  2. This is just... wow.
  3. Isn't timezone very strict about this stuff? I know that if you DARE to post a picture of a replica on the TZ Patek forum the admin not only deletes your posts and bans you permanently, but gathers 10 of his best friends and charters the next flight over to kick your ass personally.

    Mamma Mia

Look; its fun happy pappy disco music but I wouldn't call it unique, in fact I would actually call it very generic. I like some of their songs but not all of them. I think Modern Talking and Bad Boys Blue are a lot better Euro alternatives. I don't want to engage in a fight about this, though. I know there are die-hard fans and I can certainly respect that. Different strokes for different folks.
  5. Nice pam, vlydog. The second pic really shows off the shimmer.
  6. I wonder how the lume is? The datewheel is a great extra and imagine if it used proper lume then I think it would be the best selling watch for certain! As it stands it just doesn't look right from the pictures when compared to Italiano's genuine. His is super shiny whereas the rep looks very bland and matte by comparison..
  7. I know, it breaks my heart too.
  8. Before I started getting involved in replicas I knew of only one luxury watch brand - Rolex, of course. Actually I couldn't tell apart one type from another, I just knew Rolex = most expensive watch in the world. Then, through a very slow but rewarding journey, I discovered the true brands of horological mastery. You have to understand that most "common people" are just like I used to be - absolutely clueless. This is why sometimes I laugh when somebody pays $500 to put a genuine crown in their $200 rep. The chances you run into someone who would be interested enough in your watch to go to such extremes in getting a close up look and being able to verify its authenticity with a 2-3 second sweep of the eyes is simply preposterous. If, indeed, you want to make your watch look believable, I think good posture, clean well-fitting clothing (not necessarily a suit either), dominant voice all go a long way!
  9. I wanted to get a winder but I am worried about the possibility of over-winding. Does anyone know if that is a legitimate concern or do these winders have safeguards for that?
  10. This is a killer watch... but impossible to take a good photo of thanks to that ultra reflective crystal! I bought mine a long time ago. Here is a similar photo for comparison: Tremendous tremendous thing I love it to death.
  11. As an MBK/MBW owner I can say only: yes, the differences are tremendous.
  12. oh my! That is certainly not a noob figure - that is a sign of madness!!
  13. Hmmmm I wonder what could be on Corgi's wrist... oh, right.
  14. Yet another reason I don't shop by credit card with the mega dealers. They sell off credit card informations too. I have a credit card which I started specifically for buying watches from the mega dealers - I only shopped with them and another very reputable Jewish online store from New York. Well eventually my bill came in and someone in South Africa went on quite the shopping spree! Card immediately taken to bank and a serious fraud investigation has been underway for the past several months. Frankly I am not surprised but if you ask me Pay"Pal" is still the "least worst" way to send money online.
  15. Not gonna happen for a while. It's a Patek lover's dream come true. I mean you should see this datefont. Seriously. I'm still in awe and it hasn't even cycled through all of them yet.
  16. Aquanautty ..of course!
  17. Granted it's not the nicest and definitely not the most creative design but I like it more than the new Rolex models that's for sure.
  18. Perfectionist Alert!!
  19. I work from home. I don't feel like putting on pants today. 'nuff said.
  20. Patek Philippe Ref. 5013. Anyone got an extra $460,000 they could lend me for it that would be great thanks.
  21. I have been collecting replica Mont Blanc pens for a while now. None that I own even compare to the gens I invested in a while ago. If you're working with the genuine article especially, you should absolutely get a real one. There is nothing even remotely close available on the market today. The material used to make the pens is especially poor. Even those which look close to real will soon be compromised because the paint will chip, gold/steel will tarnish. A Mont Blanc pen is something you buy for life and I believe every gentleman should have at least one. I just browsed ebay and there are many affordable, new examples.
  22. Nice Daytonae!
  23. To be fair, the Chinese tourbillon movement we have access to for $500-$1500 is in fact a copy of a genuine Blancpain flying 1-min tourbillon. But if you wanted to buy that, prepare to spend a high five figures to six figures price.
  24. The way I wear my watch is constrained by gravity. Even if I would like to wear it behind the protruding bone nearer the center of my forearm, keeping it up there would be impossible, as the relatively loose bracelet would cause it to flop down again. Sometimes my watches manage to sit in awkward position, but when this happens, I am pleased to re-adjust back to the most comfortable location.
  25. I'm not a huge fan of this particular style of Panerai but I have to say this watch is magnificent!
