French Ammo, Black Chrome & Nero Afflitto by Donerix

No but unfortunately I haven't been able to neither re-instate my original account here at RWG nor was I able to upgrade my Donerix 2.0 account to VIP status. So I can't post anything for sale here. I have had several sales in the meantime, but only on the other fora. Sorry for that... but it's a bit out of my control (admin help please) -
In January I did some material shopping to make some new straps and found some nice goodies. I finally bought some original painted French ammunition pouches: And made my first Painted French Ammo strap: Then I found another vintage boxing speedbag that had some nice lightly crackled black leather and made this one for a gen 372 owner (buckle by timebandit. NERO AFFLITTO: Last but not least a friend of mine who used to work for Calvin Klein gave me one of her bags and this is hands down the best quality leather I have ever worked with. The chrome tanning goes through and through. I call it the "Black Chrome" (wish I still had my 26K, this would look perfect on it):

A longtime friend of mine who works as a photo-stylist all over the world sent me a special christmas gift this year. A package full of old (some broken) watches she had acquired over the years when she needed a prop for a photo shoot. Here is the loot: The classic sub: Extra thick font bezel insert, pointy crown guards (!), sapphire or bullet-proof mineral glass crystal. Not working (but maybe I can do something with the case...) Shows you how far we have come For the distinguished business man: Rolex Oyster Perpetual (Roman dial): Special 4mm crown, unpolished case, the folded Jubilee bracelet feels actually great. Not working My favorite: the mysterious Big-Off-set logo clasp: The Player: Shiny metallic blue Daytona (still running strong, despite missing pushers), great crown shape, brass pusher tube detail AND correct "110" spacing on the SS bezel, great folded bracelet Maybe a gen: Seiko Sportsmatic Diashock (sounds like the rotor is stuck): Last but not least two vintage German classics from UHTRA with 30 jewel movements AND 585 real gold cases !!!! and great patina (both running): Gotta run and find a scale and a torch ....

I think the whole set was like $4k -
After years of diligent research the whereabouts of this unique piece of original Ferrari luggage have been revealed: Please read below: Upon signing as Ferrari formula driver Michael S. was presented with his first company car: Michael enjoyed driving his new Testarossa as much as possible. During winter testing in Portugal in 1996 Michael's wife Corinna stayed home. So he had to ask one of the staff members to clean his car: He then asked her to pick up his luggage from the hotel so he could stay in the privacy of his motorhome... Not experienced with the power and hot temper of the "redhead" the young lady ended up in a little fender bender: Unfortunately she was still wearing her car wash outfit and had to make a speedy departure from the accident scene in another vehicle: And that was when all of Michael's belongings disappeared. Of course the soon to be world champion (and watch enthusiast as you can see) didn't want to hear any of it when his wife asked about the details of the incident.... 15 years later part of the luggage surfaced in a little country in central america and I was lucky enough to secure possession: Slight stains on the left front corner, probably high viscosity engine oil or brake fluid.. The prancing horse in all it's glory... Schuey's name is under the leather flap - take my word for it... Master key set intact, also unlocks his deposit box at Credit Suisse... From the master himself Using it for my storage needs in the meantime... Last but not least the mandatory wrist shot: I hope you enjoyed my little fairy tail about this Franken-Collector Box
