  1. For tonight
  2. Modded SMP (Gen dial/hands and new ETA2824) PAM111h unmodded Gen Oris Big Crown Gen Lorenz Theatro
  3. Today my gen Oris Big Crown
  4. Sounds like that was a buyout for everything... O well, at least you can hear yourself playing bass on television
  5. We men are so predictable... and totally not ashamed for it, hahaha.
  6. Cool! But are you compensated for the use of the master recording since you played the bass? And if you co-wrote the song there will be some sync fees for you as well... PM me if you need to know some details about music in advertising...
  7. Nice pics! Too bad the bathing suit wrist shots are missing... Enjoy your watches!
  8. O no, that's a major bummer . So are you replacing it for the VC after all or would it be another PAM? Wouldn't loose you from the PAM front, hahaha By the way, if you would choose another PAM again you might consider the titanium/antracite PAM089. This is a contemporary model with working GMT. Extra benefit for you would be that the buckle is smaller than on the oversized Historic models If you do, you have to ask for the updated dial with the minute marker @9 (there was a thread with nice pics a few days ago).
  9. Glad I'm not the only watch addict that gets distracted by the watch of the male actor in Adult movies More or less like the CG discussion on Subs the same goes for the shape of the PAM CG's and the thickness of the crown itself.... To be honest, I couldn't care less . However, what does bother me on all 111H's is the white font which is off-white on the gen and the "L SWISS MADE L" being too close to the '6'. 2 easy noticable giveaways for the real Paneristi.
  10. The back decoration looks like the G model. The H-model has different shape of bridges and contains only 1 time "officine panerai" instead of dozens. But who's gonna have a look at the back when it's on your wrist? The subdial at 9 should be alligned 1 mm more to the left. The historic PAMs like the 111 don't have the 'reg t.m.' on the CG. But are you sure it's a sandwich dial (H-model) and not a saucage (G-model and back)? Hard to see on the pics... I bet if you have the dial relumed and have the newstrap you'll probably wear it with more pleasure and more often than you expect Wear it well!
  11. My camera has only automatic focus and it's very hard to focus on close objects... Do you know if a rep keyboard forum exists? Would be a nice pic for the weekly keyboard check
  12. Happy B-day! The last couple of days, today and probably the rest of the week I got my new PAM089 with caramel BOB-strap on my wrist. This baby rocks!! Too bad that I only have a crappy camera phone pic...
  13. Did Andrew say that is was an incident or are all 164 delivered with brushed bezel? What kind of movement is inside? How is the overall quality? I'm very curious. This is a watch I'm really starting to like from the gen pics...
  14. I've heard a lot of stories on the board that back up my experience. The latest SMP's have very difficult to remove screws. They strip very easy when trying to unscrew and most of the time they don't come off at all. Very hard to resize..... In the end I used brutal force to break one link off the bracelet. Luckely the other links were not affected and now the bracelet is a perfect fit for my wrist. My personality is sometimes rather impulsive... The actual watches appeared to be not that good looking on my wrist as I thought when ordering. Fortunately for my wallet I learned to do a little more research before buying now
  15. Anybody? Search button didn't give any useful info on this one....
  16. (Edited. Keyboard was running out on me.. ) So far I've been pretty lucky. My experiences: 0. Bought my first rep at Patpong in Bangkok: a Chinese quartz Tag Heuer Monaco. When I got out of the plane all the chrono pusher appeared to be missing in action... Then I found this forum and my life changed completly... 1. Link Chrono (A7750b): arrived in good condition. I wasn't too happy with the grinding rotor sound and put a tiny bit of greese on the rotor screw. Has been running perfect and quiet since...Too bad I messed up the keyless work last week by changing the date in the evening . 2. SMP (Swiss): apart from the hard to remove bracelet screws (understatement of the year) the watch arrived in healthy condition. The wave pattern of the dial was not strong enough for my tast, so I swapped it for a gen dial together with the hands. In the process I damaged the keyless works and I also needed to change the movement. 3. PAM111h (Swiss): arrived in good condition and is still going strong. 4. PAM212 (A7750b): arrived in good condition. Didn't get wrist time, so it has been sold after 2 months. 5. Carrera Black SS (A7750b): arrived in good condition. Didn't get wrist time, so this one also have been sold. 6. PAM089 (A7750b): on arrival the strap screw was a bit stripped, but not too much to worry about. All were bought from PT. He really does a good job in QC. With the Carrera he canceled the initial shipping to my address because of a quality issue and I received a new one after a few days. That's what I call QC! I also bought a gen automatic chrono (ETA 2894-based) that suddenly died already in the first month. After 6 weeks it got back from the factory and is running perfect since. All in all not a bad score for the reps considering that even a gen died within a month.
  17. Thnx guys! Good to know that the blue dial is correct.... So it looks like it is only a problem with the grey version. Is there anybody out there who can also do a comparison with the grey version and can support my experience?
  18. I know that date font and cyclops on the contemporary PAMS are not that good as are the crown and CG, but are there any other noticeable (dial-)flaws? Thnx!
  19. I just bought a PAM089 from one of our respected collectors and the lume ('glow') is pretty ok and good enough for me. However, it's not as bright as the lume of my PAM 111h. Bear in mind that a lot of pics you see on this board are modded reps which probably have had a 'lumejob' to get it shining like a torch. The Ferrari Pams and the PAM050 are considered to be the most accurate out of the box reps at this time. Other models are very popular, but suffer from some to a lot of flaws. Studying this board will help you decide if you can live with it or not. And remember that models are updated every once in a while. Sometimes flaws are corrected, sometimes new flaws are introduced. Welcome to the board and enjoy!
  20. So am I! I bought 2 inserts from ebay in the past. But they're all aftermarket and not even close to the gen. The pearl is way too big and colors are different blue. Might me consider buying the complete gen bezel, take off the insert and put in on my rep. Expensive, but at least my mind will be at ease....
  21. A crappy camera phone shot of the newly arrived "Bill Clinton" PAM089. Had to get used to the antracite dial at first. But after replacing the brown strap for a black one it seems to grow on my wrist.
  22. The Portuguese has a modified asian 7750 movement with extra gears to make the second hand work at 6 instead of at 9. But these extra gears put too much stress on the movement and will break most of the time.
  23. This flaw has already been discussed in http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showtopic=22015&hl=
  24. You told me so... Anyway, it's still a very nice rep!
