  1. Hey Pug, thought I'd touch this one up a little as it shows nicely how a 45mm PO looks on an average size guy! I'm wearing this today...
  2. I don't use a winder but I have heard that some rotors only wind in one direction. Because its on the winder, your rotor may just be spinning backwards. Try flipping it over.
  3. Not sure if the have The Bombay Company where you are, but that where I got mine. http://www.bombaycompany.com/gp/product/B0...=A2Z4DUPX2Z8M59
  4. Yes, hit self timer, suck in gut, wait. Difficult indeed! Not a bad physique for an 84 year old man Pug!
  5. If you have two good cases, swapping the movement is probably the easiest method. You'll have to take out the movement to remove the crystal anyway.
  6. Any watch shop sells springbars. Best thing to do is to remove the strap or bracelet, and take it and an old springbar to the shop. Try to find one that fits snugly with no lateral movement. Rep springbars are usually crap anyway, so its always a good idea to replace them.
  7. Really not proving anything if you remove the movement is it? He's advertising it as watertight right out of the box. Opening it and sealing it properly defeats the purpose. If Angus has requested this test he should be prepared to replace the watch in case of failure no?
  8. I see no problem in wearing a rep in to an AD. Not that I'm trying to fool or impress, but I'm not going to pull my watch off my wrist so I can go into a shop. The day I have to do that is the day I start wearing Timex.
  9. I love my VC Malte! I've had it for about 3 years and it runs great. Not as nice as your newer version though!
  10. I agree. I've won reps before, and the first question my wife asks is "what's it worth?". If my response was "$5000, its genuine", hers would be "hand it over, we're selling it!".
  11. Thats just great! Kudos to Andrew and Josh for doing the right thing. Not sure how many B&Rs they will get back though, they are sweet looking pieces, eta or not!
  12. An old proverb says; "The best time to keep your mouth shut is when you find yourself in deep water"
  13. Look how much space is between the red arrow and the outside of the bezel ring. Sorry but the rep ring looks terrible.
  14. The inner bezel ring is still way too fat. Makes the dial look way too small.
  15. LOL, you gonna sit back and take that?
  16. Although I know these come in 2-Tone, I've never seen one in person. I've never been overly fond of the Bentleys. The new all gold 6.75 looks nice, but way too big for me.
  17. Lets not let past accomplishments be overshadowed by one mistake. I've f__ked things up in my life too occasionally, but you learn from them them and move on. I know its just in some peoples nature to demand a public lynching, but I really don't think that is necessary here. Deal with it behind the scenes.
  18. Hmmm, wonder what the second ID is? I can guess though!
  19. So long as the discussion remains civil, why even think of closing a thread. Personally, I'm just skimming the responses now, but if people feel like talking about the issue, it's a good thing.
  20. BTW, his is likely the shinier white gold version retailing at $11,000 U.S. Or its a rep!
  21. I'm 90% sure this is it CHOPARD MILLE MIGLIA MM AUTOMATIC CHRONOGRAPH - WITH MANUFACTURER SERIAL NUMBERS - Grey Carbon Fiber Dial - Chronograph Feature - Date Calendar at 5 O'clock - Self Winding Automatic Chronometer Movement - 3 Year Warranty - Guaranteed Authentic - Certificate of Authenticity - Scratch Resistant Sapphire Crystal - Exhibition Back - Brushed Titanium Case & Rubber Racing Tire Design - Manufacturer Box - 50 Meters / 165 Feet Water Resistant - Luminescent Hands & Hour Markers - 40mm = 1 5/8" Case, 7" Adjustable Bracelet
  22. Definitely not Breitling. I was freeze framing my 42" HD plasma like mad trying to get a good look at it. The dial is similar to the navitimer, but with closer spacing. Manufacturer name is centered in the top half of the face with what may be a logo beneath. It was definitely carbon fiber. There is a white inside bezel ring. Bezel is smooth with a double bevel. Crown looked to be rounded. Black strap, with no white stitching. I'm very curious as to what it is.
  23. Well thought out and well written. Good place to close the book!
