  1. Wow, that looks odd with blue hands! Was at the AD over lunch and they had a TT Blue "Old Navitimer" and all hands were gold.
  2. Can't really make out the color(sub hands)? Looks gold?
  3. I think you may be correct on that, as this image shows... Notice that the dial makings should also be in gold. Personally, this is the one I'm waiting for
  4. 225, but this model has been updated.
  5. And BTW, here's my Navi head to head with the gen!
  6. The Two tone versions in the natural 7750 format (6-9-12 subdials) are currently the most accurate. That excluding Josh's brushed Serie Special with swiss 7750 ($888 U.S.)
  7. I am well aware of the different subdial configurations that exist. You commented that the subdial hand color was wrong on the TT models pictured above. I am wondering what you mean by this? As far as I can tell the TT's have gold hands and silver sub hands.
  8. Are you sure about that? I was at the AD the other day and the TT had gold hands and silver subdial hands. http://www.lesmala.net/jean-michel/navitimer/nav2004.jpg
  9. That is good news. If its anything close to the latest 7750 offerings (SMP, TAG Link, etc) It'll make a lot of people happy!
  10. Pricey! Gen breit strap that my AD sells for $150 canadian, goes for $245 U.S. Great reference though!
  11. Pug, you've had so many new watches lately! Another couple of weeks wont kill you. LOL
  12. This one is a keeper! I can't ever see parting with it.
  13. Not big at all, about 42.5mm, which is actually small by todays standards. My wrist is Small (6.75") and I feel this is just about perfect as far as size goes.
  14. Yep, this was from TTK, and it does have the 21k 7750. Really no big deal, and judging by the number of people receiving dead 28k movements, I am quite satisfied with it! Slide rule is bang on, but really are your eyes good enough to read it accurately? I use it for calculating trip times or average speeds, and that doesn't need to be bang on, but yes, multiplication & division are bang on.
  15. Thanks guys. I'm really enjoying the gen strap. Haven't worn anything else in 5 days!
  16. Still wearing this
  17. Some pics of my favorite watch taken this morning
  18. In my opinion the time is right for rep makers to produce an Asian 7753 (not a modified 7750). Since ETA has stopped production of the genuine unit, there would likely be a market for an accurate replacement, or compatible parts. Imagine the accuracy improvement of our reps if we had an accurate 3-6-9 to put in them!
  19. Cheers buddy. Have a good one!
  20. My genuine Breitling strap finally arrived yesterday and I couldn’t be happier. I picked this one up on ebay for a mere $50 Canadian ($45 U.S.), and because he was local, the gentleman hand delivered it to my office. As promised, I am going to do a side by side comparison with the strap that I consider to be the best replica strap available, the Bob Breitling strap. But, first lets take a look at the gen! Comparison Thickness. There really is no comparison here. The Bob strap has a nice thickness to it, but it measures just over 2mm at the sidewall. The Breitling sidewall is almost 5mm. In my opinion this is the biggest flaw of the Bob strap. Anybody who has even tried on a Breitling would probably notice this lack of leather. The hump in the center of the strap is very good on the Bob strap however, and this is where the actual thickeness of the strap lies. Stitching Breitling straps are renown for the heavy white stitching that borders their straps. The Bob strap seems to have replicated this nicely, although I always felt that the stiching was a little to “outboard” as compared to the gen. The thread seems to be of about the same thickness and quality, but on closer inspection I found that the actual stitch size is still much smaller than that of the gen. Quality Although my gen strap is not new, and has obviously been worn for a bit, it still fits tightly. By this I mean that the loops that hold the excess strap do so snugly. The Bob straps outer loop seems to have already stretched slightly, despite light wear, and no longer stays in place. Quality of the leather on the Breitling is obviously far better. Although the Bob strap is calf, in my opinion it really doesn’t have that leather feel. Buckle Of course the gen strap has a gen buckle, but I’m really not keen on it. The angle of the pin makes securing the strap to a snug fit (and removing the strap as well) very difficult. Definitely, the design of Bobs buckle is far superior. Markings Obviously having a gen strap means you get the benefit of all the marking on the inside of the strap. Although the Bob is a replica strap, it does not replicate markings. Bottom line The Bob strap is great, and in my opinion still the best Breitling rep strap available. But if you want that perfect look, keep your eyes open. These straps occasionally pop up for a decent price!
  21. Its here and its awsome. Actually twice the thickness of the Bob strap, and each stitch is almost twice the size as well. I'll take some pics for tomorrow!
  22. You inspired me! This should be arriving tomorrow!
  23. Thanks Finepics!
  24. I just read this entire thread and a little surprised, and a little unsurprised. When Chronomat123 showed up on these forums it wasn't without controversy. I had some talks with him back then, and he seemed to understand how things work around here. Since then he seemed to positively contribute, and I was delighted to find out that he was a fellow contributor to By-Tors Breitling guide. Lately however his behavior became erratic. Do you remember the post about brushing the case on his Navitimer? He explained the process to me in detail as to how he had done it, then said it was now his favorite watch. A few weeks later it was up for sale, but he now stated that a jeweler had brushed the case. I nearly jumped at it when he broke the rules at RWI and posted the watch for $130, but the post was nuked. He then bumped the price here to $170. Whenever you questioned this guys ethics his response was "[censored] you, do you know how many gens I have?". Sadly, I know for a fact that this guy knows the etiquette of selling here (complete disclosure and honesty), yet he chose to ignore it. Unlike By-Tor, I think this fellow has already had his second chance, and I think he should be banned. P.S. - I knew who we were talking about half way through Arthur's first post (no I didn't see his other thread). What does that tell you?
  25. Hey Zig, would you have this info for some of the other more common movements? Im particularly interested in the hand sizes on the Seagull movement in my 192.
