Laz remembered that he has a nato "bond" strap somewhere around the flat ... after 10 minute search i have found it ... removed the bracelet on my 1680 and mounted it ... hmmm i can see now i should of found it sooner ... what do you folks think ? Have a nice weekend all Laz

yea indeed ... i have seen my 1680/1665 GW transform from a nice watch into something completely beautiful ... all do to tell u the truth i sometimes think about where does it stop ... after i purchased my 1680 from manuel i said to myself thats it i get this modded and im done ... RIGHT afer few months i purchased a GW from Paul which was actually a DRSD but i opted for extra dial ... in the end when sent it for modding i decided to swap dials and go with the GW ... all it needs now is a case back change as mine is incorrect ... 1665 came with a slow beat eta ... great now in the end i think i need one also for my 1680 heheh ... so now i said i have all i need no more vintage rollies but DAMN !!! i had to go to Brussels GTG and handle Stephans 5513 that he got of JustAsGood pfff what can i say it keeps apearing in my dreams that piece ...loooooooove the tropic 19 the simple look with no date complication etc ... :wub: ure getting yourself in dangerous waters my friend this things are like poison cursing through ure vain ... slowly but for sure u will be hooked hehehe regards Laz

HI there. White 1680 goes for around 5 k euro cca and up dependin on state of the piece and whats included ... the 1665 gw is round double ... DRSD more ... i dont know about gmts ... That said the full mod pack on both of mine mbws 1680/1655 costed around the same ammount ... oka yes i have a flat top tropic 39 on my GW if i would get the superdoome that woud increase the total i put on that piece etc ... The 1680 is a good start in my opinion it was my first vintage mbw that recived full mod packahe and is still my number one watch also prefered to my mbw 1665 fully moded ... not that i dont love my GW but since 1680 is thiner and lighter watch i found it more versatile and easyer to wear ... In the end some ask ... was it worth it ... my answer ... every single penny ... just my 2 cents regards laz

my dear friends thx for ure replyes ... yea felt like [censored] when it happens ... all cards are canceled i did that same day maybe 30 mins latter and appers to be oka ... i have sent an letter of autorisation to my dad in slovenia to cancell my slovenian id card ... as advised by the ministry . i mean this things happen right ... but amount of negative things in last 6 months that happened to me is just plainly startin to [censored] me off ... maybe i shoud get mad a bit and stop the whatever attitude @ steph ... yea i did the same during my colleague times and had no problems ... looks like need to start doing the same again regards laz

So ... not to drag this story out ... i had a call from a nice lady friend if i have any plans on Saturday as she wanted to check out a sofa for her flat and if i would be so kind to accompany her on the quest ... i said to my self why not and off we went to local IKEA ... after cca 45 minutes of checking out the sofas she proposed to grab a bite in the upstairs IKEA restaurant ... since they have fresh salmon salads i was in and of we went ... after we made a selection i proposed to pay for both ... yea gents thats how it sopose to be ... and so i did . I clearly remember putting my wallet in a side pocket of my jacket and zipping it up ... we walked like 10 meters to a free table i took of my jacket put it on the chair and set on it ... she set opposite to me and we enjoyed the meal with some sofa topics discussing what we saw etc ... not more then good 20 min. later as we wanted to leave i put on my jacket and realized my pocket was now opened and wallet gone I reported it to the police and security guards ... today police told me that they checked the cams in ikea and there is a guy bending back to my jacket siting back to me ... course there is no face on that feed so they say that there is minimal chance they can catch him ... The lady sitting opposite to me did not even notice that this people are that good ! Damage as follows : cca 150 euro in cash , my slovenian ID card , my Slovak ID card , visa electron , master card , Diners Corporate card ( companies for business trips) and some other things like fitness pass social insurance card, some pictures yea and my genuine armani leather wallet .... AND the biggest thing i needed to cancel all my cards all my id s etc pain in the ass ... thx good i still had my passport at home so all this canceling a bit easier ... also bare in mind im a FOREIGNER in this country ! MESSAGE OF THE STORY : Have ure wallet on ure eye all the time !!! Bad people always on the pray regards laz

lani i think the crown guards shaving is subject to personal preference in terms how much u take off ... mine has been done by a respected modder of the boards and im pleased with results ... mine piece out of the box had one of the crownguards bigger then the other (right one on the picture) ... on picture below only tropic 127 is installed an other things are stock ... note the crownguards diferrence to the previous picture also the poor mbw stock insert , no dial lume etc. that comes with outa box mbw ... regards laz PS marty ... i apologize for hijacking ure thread hope no bad feelings
