  1. But what are the less accuraccuies? They both have the same movements. Is it just the dial?
  2. So the White Dial is the most accurate dial of all the Chronomat Evolution, but from Angus' site, it does not describe the differences between the regular Chrono Evolution and the "Ultimate Evolution". Are there any differences?
  3. Looks like the Omega symbol is painted on - mostly due to the lighting - it has to. The Omega symbol is metallic. Also, I believe the all of the PO parts that Ofrei has (Dial, hands, bezel, etc) are for the 42mm and not the 45mm.
  4. Well, they just made a kick-ass rep of the SuperOcean Steelfish, so maybe a Colt GMT?
  5. And then on top of it, they finally come out with a kick ass version of the SuperOcean Steelfish....of course, right after I buy the gen...great f'n timing !
  6. TT- Look at it like this: The Bears had 2 weeks to prepare for Indy. Now, Dungy taught Lovie the Tampa 2 D - so you would think Lovie would let Rivera change up the Defensive plan - and go to a 3/4 or a 4/3 defense, but that didn't happen. Blown coverages and poor tackling - that's on us, no credit to Indy. The offensive game plan was horrible. Indy had the league's worse rushing defense. So what does Turner do? Let Rex throw the ball instead of run and run and run. Rex was bad because he sucks - not because of Indy's defense. We just didn't show up for the game. Well, lets just say we did for the 1st quarter. After that, you got me. Not all the Heinken and Portillos beef could put a smile on my face.....now I know how Cubs fans feel - wait till next year. I cannot give Indy credit - we beat ourselves....and I will remain stubborn because thats how I am with my team -Da Bears. Now, off to Portillos for some more Beef sandwiches.
  7. It's not always the "better team won story".....we just beat ourselves...and I if I was the GM - head would be rolling right after the game.....
  8. Agreed. Lets talk about about a Chi-town get together (but just don't bring up the Superbowl - ).
  9. I am so devastated by today's loss from the Bears in the Superbowl, that I even told my wife that even a new watch - gen or rep - wouldn't put a happy face on me. That'ts how much I am devastated...that's how much I love the game.....that's how [censored] I am at my Bears right now.....
  10. To all my fellow football (American football that is) fans in the US as well as around the world - today is SUPERBOWL XLI. What will everyone be doing for the big game? Anyone going? Hell, more importantly, what will you be wearing for the big game? I will be sporting my gen SuperOcean (and of course, after I buy the gen, they come out with the kick-ass rep ) drinking it up while rooting for my team - CHICAGO BEARS
  11. Only if this watch came out about 2-3 months ago, I would not have $$$ on the gen.....just from the pics, cannot see any difference between the rep and the gen. Absolutely stunning !!!!!!
  12. Agreed. Seems that the $458 "Ultimate" description is basically the same as the $308 "Perfect" description except for: Watch has been re-worked specially on the Case & Bracelet to make this the "Ultimate" version. I am very glad and very fortunate to get an MBW.
  13. Yep, PureTime's version is a stunner and great eye - the OEM dial says CHRONOMETER and not AUTOMATIC. But the rest of the dial looks correct - white border around the datefield and correct markers (not outlines with silver like the 2254 SMP reps). Other than that, still looks great, but yes, a bit expensive ($40 to ship to the US ?!?!? - better be next day shipping !).
  14. For $35, I highly doubt that it's an OEM dial. When you get the dial - check the wave patterns (better than the rep) as well as the lume (way better than the rep).
  15. These ETA versions are 2836 - no true "GMT" movement. Crown does look a bit wierd. The only short hand is the GMT hand. The OEM GMT hand has a bigger arrowhead than the rep. Other than, probably the most accurate rep of this watch.
  16. Am I missing something, but what rep Rollie to you have that's a quartz? Battery?
  17. Flav- Love the the SMP 2254 - I wish I never sold my "closed" rep version of the watch.
  18. Yep, the GMT rep version is gettinng better - Correct white window around the date field as well as the correct insert pattern (primarily at "18"). The only difference is the hands are too short
  19. Always check out TimeZone - I have some some OEM Omega rubber straps go for about $125.
  20. Agree with The Zigmeister - the GMT hand can be moved independantly, so the owner may not be using the GMT function.... This is a GEN with an Automatica movement (GMTs are not made with a quartz movement).
  21. Scoobs, I may be wrong but this Dial may be for the quartz version. The ways I could tell is that CHRONOMETER is missing from the dial (used on Automatic movements and not Quartz) and three o'clock marker is a bit bigger, moving the date window more to the left. Look at the difference between Cousins Dial and mine (Gen dial bought from Ofrei) Omega SMP 2531 Hope that helps.
  22. Good luck with the project. As for the dial, the pics for Omega Dial For Model 2209.50.00 and OME-2500-DIAL#2 are the same, just 2 different shots (I guess to confuse the customers even more). Keep in mind, that the Rubber straps used for the 42mm POs were created for the Asian version and not the ETA versions. They do not have the proper endlinks. The gen straps will cost $170 and then throw in the buckle (sold seperately). Omega Rubber Straps Hope this helps and good luck with the Project !
  23. I was in NYC during last summer and thought the reps on Canal Street couldn't get any lower....appearantly, I was wrong I'm heading up to NYC in April...maybe I'll go visit the Diamond District, but without the wife
  24. Damn - awesome job Vac!
  25. Ofrei.com ---> Omega section ---> Dials For the SMP 2531 dial - $150.
