  1. I got Andrew's fourth version Black PO Swiss. The only mods I'm thinking about doing is just replacing the hands - that's it, unless Ofrei would be willing to reduce the price for a gen dial ($200 right now).
  2. ...And the GMT hand is too short as well. One of the better black version reps out there - especially with the white border around the date field.
  3. Without a doubt, huh? Actually, that particular seller on eBAY has some great Omega parts for sale....very enticing indeed.....
  4. Damn it cwaio2 - you were the one who outbidded me on these items !??!? Congrats...please post the pics with the new hands..... I called ofrie and so far, they have the gen dial (just under $200) and the gen bezel (again, just under $200) - OUCH ! No work on the gen hands.....
  5. I talked to Joe for a few minutes yesturday and yes, he still sounds very ill in his voice and has been to the doctors numerous times and still has some additional visits to come. I was glad that he made an appearance on the board to explai his situation, while at the same time, defending his workmanship and himself for that matter from numerous flames....
  6. Ah...you should have just ask, "Who has the best Planet Ocean ?" Lol.....
  7. How many other people had an issue(s) with Joe's work and only his work (yes, everyone is waiting for their watches, we know that). Who else besides Namor received poor workmanship from Joe? Again, I only read praises for Joe's work.
  8. Namor - how much did you spend on mods? You wrote: - I am scammed for more than 600 bucks. (And YES friends ! SCAMMED definetely IS the right expression for this !!!) I was under the impression that you spend $600 worth of mods.......
  9. I had two watches modded by Joe which I am very very pleased with the results and currently waiting for another watch for Joes' mods. I even posted one on the boards - Omega GMT, which was praised by many other members. In addition, when I see members posting their watches with mods by Joe - everyone would praise the watch and the workmanship by Joe. I never saw a post bashing Joe or Joe's work, until now. If Joe's work is flawed, why are there tutorials by Joe posted on all of the boards? At the sametime, why do people request Joe to create tutorials? We have one member who did not like the work by Joe and waited to post his dislikes. Then, we have many other members coming out of the wood works bashing Joe - for what? Because he didn't respond to your e-mails? your pms? your posts? When Joe posted that he wasn't feeling well, what did everyone write besides get well - "Don't worry about the watches, they can wait" or "Your health is more important - my watch can wait." Now all of a sudden, everyone is coming out saying that they are waiting way too long for their watches. Well, if he writes a thread stating that he is sick and cannot work on watches while poeple are sending him watches, what do you expect - your watch next week? And for those who complain about the prices - remember - Joe will quote you prices either prior to you sending out the watch and definitely before he starts working on it. Once Joe quotes you a price, there are two options - either accept the price and send Joe the watch or do not accept the price and do not send the watch to Joe. And there's always the option of sending your watch to someone else if you do not like Joe's prices. As for the mods process itself, people will contact Joe about modding a watch. Remember, we are going to Joe. We are requesting mods from Joe. Joe is not coming to us nor is he forcing any of us to get mods. Wanna know how many times he talked me out of getting certain mods done to one of my watches?
  10. Just inquired about the White Dial to Josh. Will be pulling the trigger very very soon. Looks very very close to the gen - dial that is....Enjoy the watch and post some pics !
  11. Upload the pics using imageshack and then just link them within the thread.
  12. I have an Omega Seamaster 300m and thinking about swapping the SS bracelet for a pair of either leather or rubber straps. My question to everyone is what is the correct size that is needed if I swap out the bracelet for these strasp? 20mm or 18mm ? I know that the lug width of the SS bracelet is 20mm but don't know whether or not a 20mm leather band will fit perfectly in its place.
  13. In case you haven't read his posts - he has been under the weather (allergies) and will not be doing any watch mods until he recovers. Additionally, he wrote that he hasn't had time to check e-mails and/or pms due to his health and that his ISP has been down as well. Please remain patient. There are many of us who sent watches to Joe for mods and, no matter how big or small the project, we realize that Joe's health takes priority over the mods. Therefore, we can wait until Joe lets us know that he's good to go. Believe me - Joe is the man when it comes to mods. If he says he'll do it, then he'll do it.
  14. To answer your question - YES
  15. How's this for Anal - Already contacted Ofrei about the dial and hands and was told parts coming in about 3 weeks. And of course, there's always Joe who can mod the dial....many many many choices......
  16. One that comes to mind is Invicta, since many of their watches resembles Rolex. But nowadays, they are producing alot of great looking and original watches. BTW - do a search for "submariner" on eBay and see how many companies offer a "submariner" type watch that resembles Rolex.
  17. Looks great
  18. A PO wannabee ?!?!? As I was surfing on eBay to see if there was anything that might spark my interest, I found the following watch by Newton & Sons: http://cgi.ebay.com/Newton-Sons-AUTOMATIC-...bayphotohosting Obviously, there are many differences between this watch and the PO. Found it interesting to post...... Happy Easter everyone !
  19. Damn, I love it ! Awesome job and the watch looks frickin' awesome. Definitely next on my list !!!
  20. Nothing good to say? Do tell us why?
  21. Great insight like usual Joe ! Ordered his Black PO swiss version...can't wait to get ! should be getting it soon and once I do, I'll throw some pics up....
  22. FYI - when speaking with Marrick, I know that he ran into some issues putting the gen bezel on the rep. Marrick will give you the details....great guy As for the inserts of ebay - aren't pearls on those "aftermarket" bezels way too big?
  23. Neil- When are we going to see your version of the 45mm PO?
  24. The part number for the dial is 064-PP-3033033. I just called the Omega Service Center in Secaucus, NJ. They only sell to authorized dealers, so I coudln't get a price quote. In addition, I was looking to see if they sell the bezel inserts seperately from the bezel and they do not. I'm looking to get an insert on another watch myself, so I'm in the same boat as you. Hope that helps.
