  1. If you buy it from Ruby together with a watch, it will cost you 15 dollars...Incredible value for money.
  2. PM sent. @b16a2 : isn't the lack of AR a tell as well ?
  3. BTW, has the gen AR or not ? Agreed on the new rep strap, they are amazing (I got 2 of them).
  4. Yes, the right problem is the compatibility of the parts. Without compatible parts it will further be a mess if any repair is needed. If the Sellita SW-200 was clearly sold in reps as a Sellita, I may think this would be the best for all of us.
  5. 41 mm for mine, i.e. very slightly smaller than the gen. Last one is very...fantasy ?
  6. Got a new thick as hell strap for the Mambo...
  7. Post production is also a "must" for amateur photographers like me. It enables to change the contrast/luminosity/sharpness and many other parameters, then resize/reframe your shots. If you use a dedicated software like Photoshop, you may apply filters that will change your picture/part of it a lot, and make an average shot look just fine. I'm using it a lot, that's why I also shoot with maximum picture definition, in order to create "macros" afterwards, by just copy/pating a chosen part of the whole pic. The magic rubber in Photoshop is also a wonderful tool, that enables to make some details disappear in the smartest way. In my opinion, the less you notice the filters/effects, the better results. Here's one usage of the magic rubber, used at my humble amateurish level. I guess Pug has great pics of this kind. I especially remember of his Panerai Luminous Panties
  8. Sure, I don't use any specialist vocable While shooting without background, I'll go on with F8. I found the 2.8 to be more adapted for lumeshots however. Indeed I'm limited to 15s exposure length.
  9. So this whitespot might be the direction of the light ? Currently I already shoot with longer exposure times, I am about to order a tripod too. Right now I'm using some CDs to place my camera, which explain the always same kind of views (front). I want to change that. I'm always giving the priority to the aperture (F8) in order to have the sharpest shots. Also I use ISO50 conditions. What do you think about it ?
  10. Fixed. Here a more complete search : http://search.ebay.com/search/search.dll?s...op=1&fsoo=1

  12. Hi, just bought a polarizing filter for my digital camera. It's been a while I've been thinking of one, especially since I see the results in Pug's pictures Well I was hopeless, as I own a Canon Powershot A95, and I thought that filters won't fit to that kind of camera. In fact it seems there are adapters. That's good news. And inexpensive (surely not a good quality level, hopefully good enough for my watch shots). Have a look : http://cgi.ebay.com/UV-Polarizer-Lens-Kit-...oQQcmdZViewItem I have a question though : the kit includes an adapter, a 52mm UV Filter and a 52mm Linear Polarizing Filter. Which one should I use to have the reflections disappear, and what's the difference indeed ? Thx
  13. Mademoiselle V. It looks great for sure, I found it a bit different from what we usually see. For 20 dollars it could not be a high quality strap, but as I wear it only once in a while, that's not a real problem. Could be a bit thicker though. Back to the 112H, I feel a smooth black strap is a faultless choice.
  14. Hi Stephane, I'd go (and went) for a black strap. Here's a buckle I can offer you if you need a 24mm. I went back to a standard one.
  15. Nice one ! IS that the same as TTK's one which also comes with SS bracelet ?
  16. Thx Alex. Would you have comments on yours regarding the bezel ? If I'm not wrong, that's TT or PC's version ? I am curious about the differences If I refer to b16a2's remarks, your ring is thinner, therefore more accurate.
  17. Thx for your comments, all. Here is my small review after two days owning the thing. Where did I buy it ? As mentionned already, got it from CQout. That's a place where you have some Asian and UK dealers selling reps too. Well, it's basically not cheaper than our dealers and also you might encounter croocked sellers as well but, once you found the right one, things just roll on smoothly. The advantage I see is that you find cheaper (but, beware, also worse) reps which are not carried by our known dealers. It actually made fun for me to dig for a nice looking inexpensive rep. Don't forget that the same "little white lies" also apply. Which I particularly enjoyed is the vast choice. As I have nothing against Quartz, this place has become a nice one for me to get nice thingies under 100 dollars shipped. I understand this can't be everyone's choice. Transaction went well and I got the watch within 10 days by registered airmail from HK, although the seller is from Singapore. Shipping fee : 6 pounds. Rep for 42 pounds. That's a total of 95 dollars shipped. How is it as a watch ? That's my second purchase there. The first was a cheap Quartz RG HBB, looking great on the wrist, but definitely not the level of our usual reps, and not the level of this Navitimer. This Navi looks great for several reasons : - no lack or thin looking plating - no visible steel defect - nice caseback : engraved and embossed, unlike most cheap reps which are laser marked - details (logos and printing) all look sharp. Look at the seconds hand and the macros... I did not find badly finished parts. The pushers are OK too. - for the first time ever, the bezel is NOT loose ; that's often a drawback with inexpensive reps. This one turns smoothly but feels tight. No click (I don't know how it should be) A bit light, but not too : comes from the quartz mov. Also, the bracelet which came with feels light. Either it's not 100% stainless steel (I did not check it as I want to sell it later) or it's not plain SS. Here are some pics. Note the links have screws. Anyway, that was too much for me and while buying it I had in mind to use my spare SFSO leather strap from Ruby (thx St
  18. You're right, these are things I have to settle I mean for the sub. For Rollies, I have to work on me still... I may get one, once...
