Really enjoyed watching this. Mirrored the way I feel about my watches and what drives my appreciation. Unfortunately we can't all write music or be rock stars so thank god for Reps!

Aquaracer 500M Bracelet BA0870 Rep Vs Gen Comparison
icoopernicus replied to SSTEEL's topic in The Tag Heuer Area
Yeah, I was talking about the new ceramic. I want to buy it on the Rubber and have a bracelet as well. It might be a little while before I pull the trigger but I will send you a message if you still have the bracelet around January. -
Aquaracer 500M Bracelet BA0870 Rep Vs Gen Comparison
icoopernicus replied to SSTEEL's topic in The Tag Heuer Area
SSTEEL, do you know if they changed the Aquaracer bracelet for the new 500m diver. The new model shares the case with the 300m diver where your model uses a larger 43mm case, does the 43mm case use a 22mm lug width or is it 20mm which I believe the 41mm case does? Thanks for any info you may be able to share and on a side note, I may be willing to take that rep bracelet off your hands if you are not using it -

The diamonds look just fine, my wife wears the non chrono version of this, diamond bezel, not dial. hers is 36mm but the case is a little thicker than gen, not really noticeable without a caliper of side by side comparison. I was really impressed with hers when it showed up and it is easily her favorite watch.

They'll slap an 1887 style rotor on the movement, this would be as good as the Cal. 8500 rotor on the new planet ocean, the movement looks nothing like the gen but unless someone is trying to spot it as a fake they more than likely won't look past the rotor anyway.

This model just came out, and I'm not aware of a rep yet. would be a simple conversion from the Day Date chronos. Not sure how the subdial spacing and datewheel placement translate from the Cal. 1887 to the Cal.16 though, could create a noticeable flaw.

If I do buy a gen, it's for me, not for anyone else, the level of quality is far greater and it's something I can notice while wearing the watch. Any Reps I wear are indistinguishable at arms length and give me a much greater variety when waking up in the morning and selecting the watch that I am going to wear. For the record, I think Archie needs a personal invite to RWG, this would be wildly entertaining.

Well, I am in the market for a new watch and was hoping that some local New Yorkers might point me in the right direction. I'm taking a trip with the girlfriend in a couple of weeks and would like to buy a watch while I am in the city. If I wanted to get a great deal on a Gen Tag Heuer, where might I look? I'm thinking Grey Market prices (35% discount), think JomaShop but with a store front. If any locals out there have some good advice and could help me out with my shopping endeavor I would really appreciate it. Specifically, I am looking for the Tag Heuer Aquaracer 500m Ceramic but that's not really important. I hope to hear from you guys on this one. Side bar - can I get quality replicas on the street there, do they accommodate high end reps on Canal St.? I might be interested in checking that out as well.

Mil04 the flaw is in the stainless steel bezel. The Tachy scale is missing the 170 marker, I think it's on all of them, never noticed until I had owned the watch for about a week, didn't even catch it in QC pics, now it's all I see.

New watch is in - B3nj4min3 was a pleasure to deal with
icoopernicus replied to icoopernicus's topic in General Discussion
I'll be wearing it in the wrist check tomorrow morning, you can count on that, thanks again B3nj4min3 -
I just finished dealing with B3nj4min3 on the purchase of a Ceramic Seamaster and the process couldn't have gone better. After purchasing the watch and seeing my disappointment at having missed out on the sale he offered to forward the watch on to me as it had been an impulse buy on his part. Even though the last thing I need is another watch, sometimes I just can't help myself and I took him up on his offer. The sale was silky smooth and his communication was stellar, I was in the loop every step of the way and never had a single concern dealing with B3nj4min3. If anyone is considering dealing with him, consider this a ringing endorsement, like plus 5 feedback, or something like that. On top of the pleasing buyers experience, the watch arrived today and it is a beauty, I don't foresee it coming off my wrist for the rest of the week and I'm not sure if any of you would blame me for that.
