  9. It works just fine with a nut too, I just skip the nut for simplicity.
  10. I recommend this because it has worked for me on Oyster casebacks, gen and rep. you need super glue, isopropyl alcohol, a socket and a ratchet. glue the socket head to the caseback with the super glue, attach the ratchet and simply remove the caseback. Once the caseback is off, soak it in isopropyl for several minutes (15-30) to remove the socket head and then wipe the remaining super glue off (it will have turned to a gel from the alcohol soak. This absolutely works and it works everytime and the glue will absolutely come off with enough soaking in alcohol. Good luck

  16. If you can't get the case back off with a rubber ball or ball of putty tack I would avoid an improper tools as they can damage the case back. When I have a case back that I can't remove I use super glue to glue a socket to the back, once the glue sets you can attach the ratchet and just twist the back off. Remember, the case back will need to be soaked in isopropyl alcohol for several minutes to remove the glue and socket. I would only do this with a stainless steel case back.
  17. When you are sizing up a watch on your wrist, try standing naturally with your arms at your sides, in front of a mirror. This is what the watch really looks like on your rist and you will probably find that it looks bigger that you thought it looked just looking down at your own wrist.
  18. I have definitely been frustrated lately and have been purchasing and wearing far less reps. I have picked up a few nice gens lately and there really is a huge difference in quality that just can't be matched by the current reps with their less and less attractive prices. I still haven't liquidated my collection of reps though.
  19. I completely agree, I keep coming back to this post to eye the 39mm Oyster Perpetual, the grey/black is my favourite though. I have been considering the 39mm Explorer in gen as my next large purchase but I could be looking at the Oyster Perpetual instead.
