  5. Not winding manually and not using the chrono functions are two very good tidbits of advice when dealing with A7750 movements in your watches. I have however had several of these and without knowing better I used the chronograph and constantly wound them manualy without incident. What I'm saying is, don't let these warnings scare you away from the watch you want, if you get a good movement then they are very robust. You can absolutely use the chronograph and you can manually wind the movement - just do so sparingly and you will be fine.
  6. great photos, they really make that black bay look spectacular!

  9. The Superocean has been repped and looks very similar. not sure about dimensions but I personally prefer the Superocean anyway.
  10. Do these use a push in crown or does it screw down. It appears that the crown cap has become detached from the base of the crown. You could probably remove the stem and base of the crown from the watch and then reattach the base to the cap. It might need to be glued as it probably broken but it should still function. It looks like that O-ring might be what holds the crown together and since it has split the crown has come apart. I have not dealt with a Ladymatic before and am just going on the pictures and how it appears the crown was assembled and what you might do to fix it. You may be able to source a new crown for the watch and just install that so I wouldn't jump into a repair unless you are sure you can fix it or will be happy with it. Good luck Adam, maybe someone else will be able to give you more specific advice to repair the crown. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. The purple is a blue translucent sticker to protect the crown during shipping - just peel it off. As for the actual problem, can you try to take a better picture of the detached crown and stem? That picture is really out of focus and it is difficult to see what is going on but it looks like the crown itself is damaged and not just detached from the stem. You may be able to reassemble the crown and thread the stem back in but this will require a little work and some know-how
  12. I wish I had asked this question before I installed a brand new A2836 in the watch. My lack of skill mixed with the difficulty of installing PO hands on the short CP created some noticeable damage to the logo on the dial and a scratch on the hour hand. I honestly don't know why I mess with my reps so often
  13. I have had trouble with a number of Planet Ocean replicas and it tends to revolve around the short cannon pinion that keeps the minute hand too close to the hour hand and to the dial indices. This seems to be an issue with the ETA and ETA clone movements. Can anyone tell me if this problem persists with the new 8500 super clone movement? Since the base movement is completely different I was wondering if this legacy issue with the Planet Ocean reps has possibly been resolved. ...Or am I imagining this short cannon pinion issue
  14. Just arrived, black/orange rubber strap for my Planet Ocean - this is by far the most comfortable a planet ocean has ever felt on my wrist Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  18. Nice ride droptop, I too enjoy the pleasure of the Chronograph/S5 combination
  19. I would suggest sticking with 42mm PO. the size and proportions look better and I have had trouble with 45mm versions. The biggest problem I have is the stem being a hair too short and not resetting the keyless works to the 0/winding position after changing the time or date. I also second the 42mm CrPO. The bracelet on the LMPO is not very nice and then you're also staying away from a limited edition watch.
  20. Here is the 1887 movement. This can't be done with a base 7750 but they have made an effort, that's for sure Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
