Well I can imagine the high end guys dumping on the G Shocks but to ban you seems a bit harsh. In truth they have there uses some can do just about anything, if I were stuck in the woods for a few weeks I would rather have a compass , altimeter, temp, along with tough case rather than my lovely Rolex GMT that's for sure.

Fox, maybe they just read you do not have to be a member here to read most areas. Could be could not but we as mods choose not to pursue it further at this time if we did it would be done quietly behind the scenes in RWGcc style no witch hunts and we ain't starting one now. Rush you are correct and rest assured I know the facts/details from Greg and TB, we have discussed this at length a matter of fact quite recently. Look guys it is really different here for better or worse well that is a matter of opinion but we believe in second chances in some cases and the rule of law not the mob. I will not re-adjudicate these cases here in open thread (that's for sure) nor in PM unless new info warrants it . As of a week or two ago neither Greg nor TB had anything new so at this time these matters are closed.

Every year for many years a couple of guys get scammed, it's a shame to say but on this festive and holy time for many religions out come the bad guys. Now I can tell you most if not all were avoidable here are some common sense let us call them measures. If a deal is to good to be true it is. Do not pay gift unless you know the guy, offer to pay fees and send as a purchase it is the safest. Watch out for fly by night dealers (AAA Swiss my A**), stick w/ our TDs. Buy the seller not the watch but also buy the buyer an offer from a guy posting regular w/ a VIP or Platinum should always be preferred. On another note guys will sometimes pop in here to buy who are known/regulars on other boards and will say so, you can PM me for background checks on a buyer or seller for that matter.

Yes at certain price point you might as well go gen and most modders know they are are over building but they are striving for perfection. On the other side what are these "gen" vintage Rolex going for 20-25 some 50 K or more and how "gen" are they in some cases . So now if it cost you 3k to build a vintage that is selling for 20 30 k 10% of cost if you buy a good rep for $500 of a 5k watch same same, if you have the pockets no big deal.

Nice "A" it seems you have gotten there w/ your wrist size bigger is not better, even w/ my massive wrist I go conservative and of course Nanuq who like me can wear the biggest stays true to our our modest tastes.................less is more.
