  1. Thanks red, the watch sits very low on the wrist and it's very light. With its 39mm diameter It is probably the most comfortable watch I have ever had. I love the bracelet too, it fits like a glove. The Spitfire pilot chrono dial is even more beautiful imho but I was looking for a non chrono model < 42mm hence the decision.
  2. The old 39mm rep with serial number engraved on the lug and asian 2892 accepts gen dial and ETA 2892 movements with no issue.
  3. I'm not sure at all I'd be able to follow your instructions successfully. The result is really unbelievable.
  4. wrist shot as requested
  5. I want the same for my IWC Mark XVI now
  6. If needed I have a crystal in my drawer too.
  7. Thanks buddy, you helped me a lot as usual also for this project. Agreed, it's a great rep out of the box. I'll upload a wrist shot soon Thanks What I like in this watch is the weight and the size: I'm not a fan of big watches at all and the Mark XVI fits perfectly my taste and wrist. I forgot to thank hacra who sourced the dial. Great guy to deal with, too bad he has not much spare time at the moment.
  8. It's the light and the fact that the marker is quite tall...it looks off center in pics and in the flesh too depending on the light inclination.
  9. Almost forgot, a big thanks to my irish friend who helped me to get the watch
  10. Hi All, I have almost completed my fanken Iwc Mark XVI and I wanted to share with you some pics just to show the differences between the gen dial and the rep dial. Rep dial is, in all honesty, surprisingly good. There are differences of course but the quality of the rep dial is amazing. If you look close you can see a more pronounced 3D effect in the gen dial due to larger and taller markers. Lume is average also in the gen dial (IWC ...wake up!! such expensive watches must have a way better lume!!) I'll let the pics do the talking. Gen dial is the one with hands..., it's the dial on the left if no dial has hands in the picture. Thanks for reading
  11. impressive AR
  12. Yes it's a quick fix for someone with a basic knowledge and tools... unless the hand is broken but it's very unlikely
  13. uh...pics?
  14. Someone says the AP has a much better construction in terms of quality. I personally prefer the JLC hands down.
  15. Slurrrpp... 2 great watches I can't wait to receive my Spitfire and my ss bracelet
  16. I got a crystal coated by Takashi months ago and it's stunning, not sure the guy is reliable at the moment though. Also Chief has a great AR but the timeline is..unpredictable and very very long at best.
  17. If it's a keeper for you ---> swap the faulty movement with a gen ETA7750
  18. Thanks Andy, I'll try to remove the movement during the weekend to see if the problem persist
  19. Hi All, My SMP ETA2824 has worked very well till yesterday. Now It seems that the central second hand stops very frequently always in the same position. If i shake the watch the hand starts running again. There's clearance between the hands, my only guess is the hand touching the crystal... but the crystal looks perfectly even. By the way, also in the past the watch was used to stop (after days, that's why i was fine with that) all the time with the central second hand in the same position. Now it happens every 60 secs, the hand completes one turn and it stops. Do you have some idea? Thanks
  20. I want it badly.
  21. Maybe the power reserve was terrible.. I have had many reps like that
  22. Yes please, I'm really curious Thanks
  23. I got my crystal back from Uwe last week. No problem at all and short\ medium lead time (3 weeks)
  24. damn it..You cannot even imagine how envious I am
  25. Can't wait to see the final result mate
