  1. 3719 or 3707 (GST Ti) or 3717 Spitfire or Mark XVI Spitfire ...uh, well, ok I'm confused if only one, let's say 3719 with SS strap
  2. When I started being into watches I didn't like Rolex at all, I thought It was overrated and too "commercial". Besides I didn't want to wear Rolex, too much undesired attention from people. After 8-10 reps of different brands I decided to try some noobmariners and a super seadweller, I bought cheap A21j versions and I have to admit I completely changed my mind about Rolex. They are undestated desings that never bore you and they have close to perfect measures (DSSD apart) At the end I sold all my Rolexes for the reason I wrote above.... they draw too much attention and stupid comments but I know I'll end up buying one soon (new superlumed SD or maybe a TC Sub). I'm right now considering a Tudor project, it's not such a well known brand compared to R.
  3. The SMP chrono is a much better rep, more accurate for sure. Personally I like better the standard SMP, non chrono version, it's one of the most comfortable and well balanced watches I have ever had. SMP chrono is too chunky for my taste. WBK and Mary's are not bad starting point but you need to invest time and money if you want an outstanding final result. Many people reckon it's not worth the effort considering the price of a 2nd hand gen SMP and it's a good point if you're very detail oriented. If yoo can live with small flaws...grab a SMP from WBK, they look a real best bang for the buck.
  4. The gen dial looks correct for the 41mm SMP I have also a gen dial but I don't remember exactly the diameter, but I'm 100% sure it was a straight fit in two reps of mine. Maybe someone with a gen SMP dial can confirm the outer diameter.
  5. Yeah, post a pic first Careful with Cousins, they often ship wrong parts
  6. I'm afraid there are few options here 1. Ask on all REP Boards if someone has some spares (I had a spare case set but I sold it 1 year ago to someone who lost the same pusher) 2. You can try ask to Texski if he can source gen parts...no idea what the cost would be though. I have the same watch and I'm scared all the time to lose a pusher. I would like to know if there 's a fix to avoid this. Good luck in your hunt mate
  7. Is it possible to replace the crystal on the new Superlumed SD? I like it better than the old SSD, I couldn't stand the rehaut on mine Thanks for sharing
  8. WOW, all the collection is amazing but the Speedy is special You need a Spitfire now Thanks for sharing
  9. Excellent upgrade Andy. I can't justify a Mark XVI as I have a 3717. I'll buy a Mark XVI Spitfire for sure sooner or later.
  10. Is the thickness inaccurate? I had a look on Google and gen seems way thinner Nice watch though
  11. Too late I'm afraid, Happy birthday buddy!!
  12. I have at least two or three if the coating is well done
  13. HeY mate, have you got some news?
  14. Val, that's a stunning Porto, what movement does it have inside?
  15. I have been trying to convince myself I don't need my 3719 but I'm not brave enough to let it go, I like it too much. This is a watch that really oozes quality.
  16. Same problem here. Leather/rubber straps don't fit my wrist very well...dunno why
  17. It sounds very promising, we all need badly more quality options for AR Thanks mate
  18. Guys you're great, I'm gonna list all the items I need to buy Thanks all
  19. Hi Rob, this is what happened to my watch. I just uncased the movement and problem is gone. It seems like the pusher is too long. Could you please have a look at the pics below and tell me your opinion? Is the pusher supposed to be shorter? Also, I'm really scared my watch might lose a pusher suddenly (it has happened to many IWC Gst, I'm more than sure you're aware of that). Is there a method to avoid this? How can i secure the two pushers? Thanks a lot R.
  20. Hi All, I would like to place a small order but I had bad past experience with Ofrei (basically he just ignored my requests). Is there someone who's about to place a purchase order willing to add some small items for me? Of course I'll paypal you in advance. I'm located in Eu and it'd be necessary to forward these items to me later on (ne need to say..cost on me) . If it's not too much hassle, please let me know. Thanks
  21. Uhmm...sounds too complicated and not easy at all, moreover misalignment would be likely to say the least I'd better get rid of the Miyota and buy a new movement if there's no way to use the A21j datewheel I have. Thanks Jkay
  22. Hi All, I just bought a watch with a lousy movement and I wanted to replace it with a brand new Miyota 8215 that has been in my drawer for months. Unfortunately It seems like the datewheel swap 's not so simple: Miyota uses a particular datewheel. Is there some solution or trick? Thanks
  23. That's what I call a great post bud, congrats, you got serious skills now
