Been away for awhile but thought I'd check in. This is a very old 1655 rep I've had for about 10 years. Not sure what factory made it originally. It's been sitting in my drawer for a year in parts. Decided to slap it together tonight...really would like to replace the hands though. Gen ETA 10y.o. Rep case Shaved CGs, thinned lugs Drilled lugs to accept gen spring bars Yuki bezel ST 602 tube/rep crown Glad I cleaned up the clutter a little bit. I think there's 5 more unfinished projects in there.

Please explain to me why a pepsi insert is worth $1300?

I believe freddy was speaking in jest. Rare colour, naturally faded, fat font. Low supply + high demand = high price -

Rolex 16660 SD hands down. It would have to be non-matte dial of course.

question for rolex vintage experts..which 1665 dial is this?

My Yuki 5513 dial is stamped with Singer -
Swiss SW200 > Asian clone IMHO.

ETA 2836. Possible vlone

I'm in for a 5513. Will this be for ETA movements or gen?

Finally got all the pieces assembled for my weekend beater. I really like the LV dial, but I really don't like the lack of lugholes. So I took a ST case, and drilled 1.25mm holes to take gen spec bars. Beveled the lugs. Tossed on a TC 16610lv dial/hands, ST bezel and insert, WM pearl, V3 bracelet, Swiss ETA 2834 movement. As far as I know a lughole LV only existed in an early press photo. But I like it.

Where's a good place to get one?

Thanks again HH. Super happy with the case. I did however have to put in a thin spacer to align the stem perfectly with the gen movement. But imperceptible. Tremendous effort on your part. I wish you much success with finding a new manufacturer.

Well almost complete. I was fortunate enough to acquire one of the four 5514 mid case prototypes that HH has been looking to manufacturer for the past couple of years. Finally assembled all the pieces: HH 5514 mid case with proper unique 4,0xx,000 serials, working he valve, and bezel assembly Gen Tropic 19 crystal Gen cal 1520 movement Gen insert Gen crown Yuki dial/hands Think it turned out alright. Now deciding on a strap/bracelet.

Thanks HH. Just arrived today. If this is version 1, it will be tough to beat, simply fantastic! Thks again!

I'm hoping my gen 1520 movement will fit in this without issues. I will report when project completed.

This project is so beautiful, it deserves a bump. Congrats on a fantastic watch. -
I dunno about u boys, but I'm tingling with anticipation. The suspense is killing me.

I'll take one. Please PM me. I am also located in T.O.

Caseback, crown/tube and bezel insert are then only gen parts. Yuki dial perhaps?

Dial Maker and Pam Maker - TC's Progress Update Part II

While i can appreciate the workmanship, I personally have no interest in a TT or smurf offering. Classic SD 16600 would get my first vote. -
Dial Maker and Pam Maker - TC's Progress Update Part II

My hoarding of gen 16600 and 16660 inserts and crystals have begun! When TC launches his SD, the market value of these compatible gen parts are gonna take off! I'm going to corner the market! Muwahahahaha Mwahahahaha! -
Ofrei has plain white dial blanks for ETA movements. $2.40 each when u order more than 10: www.ofrei.com/page813.html

I was thinking about an LV build, but the thought of no lugs holes is not appealing. I may do it anyways just because.
