1680, 1665, 16800, 16610 all have the compression gasket between the retaining ring and case. -

Ahh.. yes, there is a slight taper on the 702 tubes. Cases need to be chamfered.. Forget which bit I used...11/64 I think.

Fantastic!.. I'm right behind you as well. However, it will not have a NOS feel to it . Will be using a gen PreComex dial as well. Just waiting for a couple of more items. Congrats

There is a large flat gasket in the crown. Two o rings in the tube. Some tubes have a thin flat gasket between the tube and the case. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I got my gen tube to fit the HH case but its wasn't a straight forward process. 1) retap the case 2) slight sand down the threads of the tube because the 702 is slightly wider than 3.00mms 3) chamfer the top of the tube opening on the case. Then and only then will it fit. Oh and then you have to broach/reem the splines inside the tube with a conical file. Otherwise the crown will not fit. Crazy crazy system the 702. TC V6 (or V5 with a KH dial), V3 bracelet, V4 clasp. Not sure about the insert... possible cadell vintage. Pearl doesnt look gen. I dont think that's a gen bezel. I dont think its a TC either. Clarks? Yes, I'm goin with Clarks

The tips of the peaks are collinear with the middle of the crown. Id say slightly north of center (toward the crystal side)

That's the problem. I only have m3 0.35 tap. I'm considering buying 0.30, 0.25 and 0.40 taps and giving them all a try.
