Great review, thanks. I was looking at the gens in the local AD; they look really big compared to the Link range of watches. I thought the gen Blue looked the best, but i'm not so sure about whether the rep blue is the right shade? I also really like the silver dial and gold bezel rep - but I think its a fantasy model? Which means that I'll be angling for the black dial rep... Thanks for posting up the comparison shots!

And I think this B01 is outstanding. If they can do a good rep of this, I'll be choosing this dial and tachymeter combo. Love it!

The ETA G10-type (can't remember which exactly) quartz movt used in the Porsche Flat-Six rep will fit an ASC rep, no problem. The "Regatta" function is not a special function as such: all you do is manually advance the long minute hand using the crown and pusher, then start the chrono as normal. The "Regatta function" will then operate like a countdown timer for the last 10 mins (or whatever time you choose). This can be done on the ETA movt on my Flat-Six rep and my gen Avenger M1. They both work in exactly the same way. So, there is no real reason why the ASC can't be repped. The datewheel needs to be black. We could be talking about a Chrono Avenger (ss rep) case thats been DLC'd. Or the later Avenger Skyland case with old skool CA bezel. I for one would definately buy the rep, if they rep it from a genuine Blacksteel and not a normal version - repeating the mistakes they made with the Super Avenger Blacksteel!! Obviously they may not go to the lengths replicating having magnetic pushpieces as per the gen.... and on a side note: the Reppers are sooo gonna F this up with the lume, though! lol

lol what i'm saying is, I would want AR on that black dial model. I only have one watch now, which doesnt have AR. Probably one of the most understated and underrated Breitlings, and to the masses not recogniseable as one. Large, simple but with complications, has enough polish without being Bling, and not too heavy. One of the few great-out-of-the-box reps I have; simply because there is no need to attempt to improve it. The rep OR strap and clasp is brilliant. It's a great watch and should be a favourite in any collection.

I've often wondered about wether I'd buy this for fun, as its a fabulous piece of engineering, but its definately too big and clunky for me. Hope you wear it often though! and get some good use out of it

That looks great R! The Skyland should've been made with a Ti case from the start, leaving the SA with the steel. I really like it, and it looks miles better than the rep CA dial

Ive had my RS2 for about 9 months and its still fine (knock on wood). Its built very well, just the strap lets it down Had the normal RSX for a while too. Again, no prblems ether

Most obvious tell is that on the rep sub dials: there are different sized numbers. The gen shows them all to be the same size! This was a trait from BLACKSTEEL ONLY, not from the normal SA's! A few more tells on the rep is that the stencilled numbers have a painted line thru them, whereas on the gen dial, the numbers are in 2 parts (gen dial below) On the black dial, the numbers are black chrome on the gen. The rep appears to be off white also, the Rep chrome date window is slighty bigger than the aperture

@Red: The BR came from someone on Ioffer! I think it may have been Ufanta! @BT: Yeah those two are/were pretty sweet. I sold the Carrera two weeks ago to someone who made a very good offer on it! The Skyland would suit you well, BT! So what are you waiting for?! lol The Monaco, its quartz! but is better proportioned than the 7750 model, has very good AR and came from Narikaa last week. His only one.

Thanks for the kind comments There are some fabulous watches in there that I'm very happy with. Its funny, I get more "pleasure" from my reps than I do with gens! I photograph them more, and wear them more! Strange?! Despite early frustrations with some rep flaws, I've got over them now, and just enjoy using the watches for fun. Some of them never get used (ie. the BR Tourbillon) and are there for novelty! No more buying for a while now!

I thought I'd share with you, my horde of reps. Some modded, some not. I'll let you spot them. There's also a few cheapies in here - kept for sentimental value! Enough of the chit chat!

Interesting! Thanks for that. The last time I bought an a7750 hi beat, it was £60 plus shipping, from a CN dealer. So maybe this price isn't too bad. I like the way Cousins have stepped up to the plate and recognise that there is a growing market for rep watch parts and catering for it. The pics they give show them without the fine regulator, so maybe they are the hi-beat versions. Although the tricompax one doesnt have the date.

One of my friends thought that he was ordering from the Cartel when he found this site. Instead of checking with me first, he went and bought about $800 worth of reps. Paid using Paypal. The sites' format and logos are a copy of Josh's, but is it part of the Cartel? Since there is Paypal involved, I don't believe that it is the Cartel. He has been in contact with the "seller", but has not had any Tracking or shipment confirmation. So now he's getting worried. What do you think I should tell him?

Thanks for the advice guys, I tried getting one from the dealer, but no such luck. My w/smith has had a go at replacing it with another PAM crystal, but I have yet to see what it looks like!
