  1. From the look of it there's a fair bit more work to do on the case reshaping. From the crown guard it slopes away to gradually down to the lugs making it look fat.
  2. Unless you are very experienced with a dremmel I would steer clear, I have found they can get you in trouble very quickly. Get a sharp edged piece of steel and some small files and get practicing. You will soon get the hang of it. Buff it with a dremmel after or some fine wet & dry paper.
  3. Of course, here you go... I polished the blue screws of the Asian 7750 movement to apear like gen
  4. I can see a 7 pager coming on here, maybe longer? I would recommend keeping an eye on the board sales section. That's where most of the best watches come up for sale
  5. From the Cousins UK website Ø26.00mm Movement, China DG2813 Cousins ref: DG2813M Ø26.00mm Movement, Steel Colour Plates, China DG3804 (3804) Cousins ref: CH3804BM The 3804 from CousinsUK is different to the one you show. This is the movement I am using in my 1675. Are the extra wheels leading out to the stem area on yours the function to set the GMT hand independently? The 3804 I have does not have these wheels and the GMT hand is not settable.
  6. If it does have a independently settable GMT hand then why are most people (myself included) using it in there 1675 builds that does not have a independently settable GMT hand? That looks like a modified 2813 to me.
  7. Don't think the DG3804B has an independently settable GMT hand like this model (should) have. You sure it's a 3804B?
  8. Lovely watch, that little GMT hand yeah baby! Whoever ends up owning it, do it properly by someone who knows what their doing. Bring some nice pictures back when it's done Good luck.
  9. Congratulations, nice Tag, I have the rep and it's pretty good looking at that gen.
  10. OK, in the name of education...what's the tell on this? Apart from selling a 20k watch with 1 picture!
  11. This scammer really like to chat...S*it He is going to report me for hassling him Maybe the 10 messages in 5 minutes was excessive Oh and it's the watch with the water marks from European Watch Company that he is selling...not that beat up crap one!
  12. I take it off my wrist chuck it at them and say "what do you think"? they normally look and say "that's real" I say "yep, a real ticking watch telling the time. No batteries in that sucker" They hand it back and then comes one of 2 conversations around wow that's a bloody good fake or I built that, some of it's genuine...it's my hobby
  13. Nope, you e-mail him and then wait for a response...sometimes days. You cannot buy anything through the website.
  14. I think PayPal is becoming too risky for sellers. The odds are now too far stacked in the buyers favour and with the way we buy and sell there is no recourse. Although I very rarely sell anything I think direct bank transfer is the way forward for me.
  15. Yep RA, I am carefully studying the 7750, I have 2 sitting here requiring a service. An ETA & an Asian. The Asian will be getting some attention soon The dial side of the 2813 caused me quite a few headaches too with the click (?) springs that would launch themselves across the room every time I smiled! The fun of spending 15 minutes on my hands and knees with a magnet...good times I will look back on with fondness (sic) I have the 2813 whipped now though apart from the 'bridge of doom'
  16. I'm a bit of a masochist, that's the only reason why I bother servicing the 2813 movement (only my own) and for practice, because after one of these everything is simple in comparison. I haven't done chronographs yet This is the reason why most sane watchmakers will say "just put a new movement in" What we are looking at is 7 pinions waiting to be located into the holes of a single bridge, 1 doesn't actually locate it is retained by a sprung plate and the other on the barrel is fine. That leaves 5 wobbly pinions that will jump out of the jewel holes (top or bottom) just by looking at them! 45 minutes is my record and I considered that 'luck' If you see this movement...run!
  17. A side note, The shock jewels are normally different sizes on the balance c ock and the main plate, bare this in mind when servicing them. Also the cap jewel that sits on top of the pivot jewel has 2 sides, a flat and domed. The flat side sits on top if the pivot jewel.
  18. There was a gen case for sale here a few months ago, I don't remember it selling.
  19. Lost the insert out of my BigDazza so put a faded GMT Coke in for now...
  20. I haven't seen a rep long hour hand before and don't know if he has ever made them before? The price at the moment is $99 for a set of 3 long hour, minute & seconds. But we know 2 of those are readily available so I am going back to him to see how much just the hour hand would be. Not a tremendous amount of interest at the moment though.
  21. *UPDATE2* This price is for the set of 3 hands. Long hour hand, Minute hand & the Lolipop seconds hand. I have requested to fit the DG2813 movement, whether others can be incorporated I don't know? Discuss...
  22. *UPDATE* I have communicated with Michael and this is how it go''s... $1000 tooling charge 30 sets min order @ $65 So, $99 per hand without shipping. Feasibility & thoughts guys? Group buy between a few forums?
  23. Got a message from him, 6241 back in stock in 10 days. He has a 6265 in stock
