  1. Can someone PM me on how to get in contact with Phong's Son? I can't find any contact info on the website Thanks

    Yikes

ewwwwwwwww... Even my wife said, "that crown looks messed up"...
  3. Thanks for all the info guys. The most import part is that they are Gen Cases. Refurbished is a plus for me as I will be wearing the watch for a very very long time. Being that I have been looking for a vintage 5513 Gen case for over a year with no luck, coupled with the fact that the current prices are cheaper than Phong.. I think it's a no brainer.
  4. Good Catch Dbane. Very informative as always ! Thanks
  5. what does it mean to refurbish model and serial engravings?
  6. I figured who other than a rep community to figure out the validity of the Rolex Mid Case. Please check them out and share with us on whether you believe this case to be Gen or Rep. I have gotten multiple differing opinions on the Rolex forum from senior members via private messaging. I will not disclose who the seller is, so as to keep it objective http://www.ebay.com/itm/111466357829?_trksid=p2060778.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT http://www.ebay.com/itm/111466360840?_trksid=p2060778.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT http://www.ebay.com/itm/111466355592?_trksid=p2060778.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
  7. Auto can you post a picture of the new dial? I noticed the deterioration of the quality on my new 7206 Rivet Bracelet. The 7206 Rivet I bought 2 years ago had better stamping, better clasp and feel.
  8. I personally would never put a fake dial on a gen watch. The dial is the most obvious part of the watch. Why would you spend $4k+ and live in fear of being called out for wearing a fake watch? I would wear it with the service dial while you look for / Save for a gen period correct dial. A gen period correct dial, while expensive, will add value to the watch and will retain or increase in value. Even if you decide to sell the watch later, you can always part out the dial and sell it separately or together. A gen will always be gen. You can hand it down to your children, insure it, sell it, service it. A rep will always be a rep and it's value tied to rep forum members.
  9. Very Very nice. You need to bite the bullet and get a gen FF insert to finish the overall look. Makes all the difference imho
  10. this one has much better crown guards. Still need some slimming down, but much better than the other one
  11. +1 Thanks much knowledge is shared on this forum
  12. That dial is legit for a rep The only thing I don't like are the hands I like matching hands (matching the dial lume) Wear it well. Love it
  13. I bought my Gen Omega Chrono back in 2001 and I never wore much it because I found it to be to top heavy. The chrono felt like I had a 1 pound weight tied to my wrist. I sold it last year and bought a Gen Ceramic SMP 300. The ceramic 300 has a slimmer profile and is much thinner and lighter. I barely know it's on my wrist. The best thing to do is to go to an Omega AD and try on both the watches and see which you like best. Good Luck
  14. No problem. Here is another one in much better condition http://www.network54.com/Forum/207673/message/1407114936/FS-Fantastic+Fat+Font+Insert+%26amp%3B+Bezel-+Submariner+5513+5512+1680+7928+7016%2C+94xx+MK3+Insert
  15. 650 Euro is expensive.. wow. Here is a mark III for much cheaper on VRF: http://www.network54.com/Forum/207673/message/1407211605/FS+Rolex+Submarimer++FF+insert+no+pearl-----US550+++shipped
  16. You could install the green insert on the 16610LN but you'd still be missing out on the Maxi dial and Maxi hands that the 16610LV has.
  17. +1 Need better picture of the pearl
  18. I've asked Michael Young for pictures but never got a response. Do you have a picture of a 5513 hands for eta?
  19. The guy I bought it from said that it started out as a 5517. Case and crown guards were softened to resemble a 40 year old watch. It has a Swiss ETA movement. The permanent spring guards were removed and the lug holes were drilled to accept gen fat springbars. I'm not sure on the dial but it's pretty nice from arms length. For $100 I didn't ask much questions lol
  20. Thank You everyone for your feedback I have a Athaya 702 Tube and a Gen 702 crown I was saving for my Tudor 7928 Project. I guess I can put it on my 5513. The bracelet I'm using is a standard rep SS bracelet with a TC 93250 V3 clasp. The clasp looks very convincing Where can I get correct Rep 5513 hand for eta?
  21. Bought an old beater 5513 about 2 months ago and I replaced the crystal and insert. Do you guys think I should take it further or leave it as is? If so what? Here is the original beater 5513 I bought for $100 Here is the 5513 with a new Clark Tropic 19 and a Mark III FF insert:
  22. That is one Sexy dial. You sure it isn't gen?

    YUKI 7206

Seriously annoying. I've only been waiting for 1 year for the stupid bracelet. Cross my finger I don't get an email saying that they're sold out after I paid
