  1. Here is a picture of a gen feet first dial that you would expect to see on a 2-4 million serial range before the precomex and Maxi dials Look at the S in Oyster. Look at the flat S in Submariner. Look at the placement of the SWISS T < 25. Look at the thickness of the font
  2. +1 Looks like an ST bezel.... That dial is also ... not gen.
  3. Love the SMP. Today is a 5513 day

  5. I love the build. Good choice in parts for budget, but still retaining the vintage feel. The thing I don't understand about all these Franken Red 1680 builds is.... why the silver date wheel? Gen Red 1680's were born with white date wheels. The silver date wheels came later on the white dials.
  6. Also Derek is notorious of splitting up heads and bands to try and make a bit more $$$.... for what it's worth.
  7. or the bubble could burst.... Crossing my fingers.
  8. Holy Crap, so this was the home for your 7206 ... Truly awesome write up and build. Amazing Y.
  9. Over saturated market... I'd rather save a bit more and grab an Omega Seamaster Pro for 1k.
  10. You're welcome Here is my franken 94010 with a gen dial and eta 2783. Right after I bought it, my wife stole it from me and won't give it back.
  11. i'm willing to bet money that the "Expert" thought the Mercedes hands were Sword hands
  12. Tudor 94010 is a no date sub that uses this dial and is not MN like this http://forums.timezone.com/index.php?t=tree&goto=6439044&rid=0 this http://forums.watchuseek.com/f29/fs-vintage-blue-tudor-submariner-94010-no-date-515748.html
  13. Very good info. Thank you for sharing your knowledge on the matter. Seems like a very good investment considering the Rolex Milsubs are considerably more expensive.
  14. Young, that is my favorite shot of your 5513 Absolutely gorgeous in snow
  15. 30-40k pounds? Hash marks for the firsdt 15 minutes? Really? better than the super super rare James bond model? There is a mention on sword hands but no comment on why he has replacement hands or how that affects value.
  16. Why not? I called ST and told them I was a watchmaker and they gave me a Temporary account. After my first order, they upgraded me to a permanent account automatically. There was no actual verification to see that I was an actual watchmaker.
  17. Very Nice piece. I love no date subs. So what makes it an MN? Excuse my ignorance on this matter.
  18. Also ST bars are $1.70 a piece.
  19. Ha ! the pearl doesn't even match your plots Our inserts are cousins for sure, made from the same plate. Mine is a 2 mil SN 1969 Last of the Meter First Dials It sure is a fat pig though, look at those lugs. Great job on the crown guards !!
  20. Awesome build man. I love how you kept to the genuine feel of a 5513 while keeping your budget in mind. Making very Smart sacrifices. Love your insert, I put your build next to my gen to see how spot on your build is. Incredible man.
  21. Oh awesome. Akira does some amazing work over on HF. Nice strap rotation. I'm currently trying to amass an nice Insert rotation. I'm currently up to 3 Mark III FF Inserts on rotation. Can get quite expensive, especially with prices people are wanting these days. Wear it well, your collection is quite amazing.
  22. I'll take 3 so I can sell my gen and get me some more purty inserts
