  1. I take it she was a hotty :thumbsupsmileyanim:
  2. This is a topic which has been on my mind a bit lately as well. In the past, I've worn reps through Japanese and Spanish customs with no issues at either place, but I do have concerns. While I understand that customs have the power to remove contraband from people, my question is: Ignoring anything in carryon or regular baggage, because of course, traveling with a case-full of reps is asking for trouble , how likely is it that customs in Country X are actually going to remove the wristwatch a person is wearing? I know rep goods are illegal in France and Italy, but do they just clampdown on mail imports, or are passenger's personal garments subject to the same scrutiny and confiscatability? (Like my new word? ) Depending on the outcome/feedback, I might just get one of those suicide bomber Casios to wear in such countries
  3. Crazy mod, but I like it! :thumbsupsmileyanim:
  4. Let me know when it's released, and I'll see what I can do
  5. Can't do the time... etc etc... Hard to feel sorry for someone like that
  6. I really like the layout of the dial, but I feel the strap looks a little narrow where it connects to the case... Maybe if it had lugs Nice watch though, and I like how the brand logo is positioned
  7. Tag do some nice brown-dialed watches
  8. Keeping it casual for Dressdown Friday... Oh wait, today's Monday...
  9. I don't really know enough to be able to confirm authenticity of parts, but I will say that I think it looks like a really nice piece
  10. A few very generously donated parts from an awesome member, which will help me make some real progress on a few projects, and on a similar line, I have a PPI refund pending, which will additionally enable me to get those projects completed, as well as commission a custom wrist-strap and get some much needed home-improvements done
  11. Ahhhh, I was watching it with the speakers turned off, so when it said 'dad' and 'kid', I figured they were meaning his kid, not someone elses, so yeah, hopefully he'll find some new buddies when it comes to shower time... On the other hand, I'm also a big believer in the philosophy that if some punk thinks they're man enough to mouth off to someone, they have to be man enough to deal with the consequences, and I'll bet the kid's learned a lesson he won't forget in a hurry... As you say, pure White Trash... Gotta love it
  12. If my son got up in my face like that, I'd lay his ass out too, but I sure as hell wouldn't keep slapping him while he was down... What a douche... He's going to get what's coming to him in the pen
  13. As above, check it first, but chances are it will be fine
  14. Mine isn't PVD, it's a Camden Market plastic sub with a modified Rolex dial fixed to the quartz movement with double-sided tape I built it myself for a chuckle, but found I really enjoyed wearing it, as it reminds me not to take life too seriously I also wear it while tattooing, so the field from the machine can't magnetize an automatic movement As far as I know, Tudor cases're just the same as the Rolex ones There're good PVD Rolex reps available, the real ones really just aren't worth the price-tag
  15. Any time I have to admit, I'm the same, and prefer steel bracelets over the leather, as it means I don't have to worry about the watch getting wet I just thought I'd suggest fat-straps as a way of blending a watch more into 'student fashion' so it'd be a bit inconspicuous and draw less attention Definitely sounds like you've got the skills to do the appropriate aging, so I'll be keen to see what you come up with I would advise against faking the dirt on the strap though, real dirt would suffice It took me a while to warm up to the DRSD, but I now have plans to buy one myself, so definitely looking forward to seeing what you can do with one of those
  16. Don't give up on it just yet, I think it would look good in something like a Yachtmaster case
  17. Do y'all remember this little creation of mine?
  18. Had you said the same about the Rose dial, I'd've definitely said yes, but from when I had an Electric Blue Seamaster, I know I wouldn't be able to give it the wrist time it deserves I do love it, but I know I'm not the rightful owner
  19. That is certainly a unique strap/buckle set up, I love it
  20. Have to admit, I rather like it With a blue bezel, and the lume and hands, I think it would look pretty good all cased up, a bit like the Electric Blue Omega Seamaster
