If the trusted dealers say no then it’s not available. Contact a few TD’s and if they all say the same then you have your answer. Don’t bother sending money to unknown sites, especially via Western Union, unless you want to lose it! At best you’ll get cheap Canal St quality reps or most likely nothing at all.

I’d call it the thinking mans rep. It’s widely known as the best value out there. Wear in good health and save for the real deal if you wish!

If you know the factory of your watch then you can approach some of the TDs. I’ve used Toro successfully for spares.

Do you know what the differences are between a V9 and a V10? I don’t so can’t help, but if you don’t yourself then what are you worrying about anyway? Just buy the watch you like as there will always be flaws and inaccuracies in rep watches.

It’s a good game, especially if you like word games. I expect it will get a lot of downloads.

There’s nothing wrong with Timex. My mother gave me one as my first watch when I was about 5 years old. I wore it for years and it survived all the abuse that a young kid could throw at it. As I got older and had other watches my mother used to wear it herself. It’s still around somewhere but now needs a service!

As to the rabbit hole: we can still see your tail. Dig deeper and in a week or two when you feel comfortable order from a TD. Patience is always the key to this hobby.

There will always be a new version around the corner with ‘improvements’. It’s marketing to keep people buying. The best thing is to know what you want, what any failings are with the rep that you are buying and, if need be, mod it to improve it to your satisfaction.
