  1. Most do not notice or even care. My receptionist is moderately interested mainly because I usually have watches delivered to work so she knows when one is incoming and usually asks if she can see it. Funny though, even after seeing several of them, when the EXP II arrived last week, she was like "OMG is that a Rolex?, I said yes they all were/are. So even though she showed interest she really had no idea what she was looking at. Now that she knows they are Rolex's she thinks I am a super cool:). LOL, she is young. One of the gals who works in finance asked me to get her a franken DJ so I asked Matt to build her one. She loves it and wears it every day. Another gal asked me to get a OTB rep for her husband. The rest of the staff are clueless. People who are close to me know I am a WIS and usually avoid saying anything about watches, as they know I will go into a half hour explanation of the reference and history.....they usually start to fall asleep about 2 minutes in. In public no one notices. I might have someone say something about once a year and it is usually another WIS.
  2. Here is a quick pic of the finished Maxi project. I ordered this vintage "Piombo" B&S/JPM strap specifically for this watch.
  3. Beautiful gen my friend [emoji106]🏻
  4. Put this back on a jub. Selling my DJ so this will be my only non oyster. Patiently waiting for fed ex to deliver the Maxi [emoji106]🏻
  5. ^^^^agree. Ace timer is solid value. I had one of their auto winders for years. Tried a more expensive brand with bad luck. My fancy winder broke just after warrantee expired so went back to Ace when I upgraded to an eight watch winder last year. Excellent customer service and products for the money.
  6. I usually do not like busy dials but that is a cool looking watch. If that Lume glows good I bet it looks killer in the dark.
  7. Thanks Homie. Yes it is a CWP plexi. Some may argue that taking a gen part off for an aftermarket part is crazy, but I really dig the profile of the old school dome over the genuine service dome. Plus the more pronounced dome is what the watch came with originally. And we all know that finding a genuine T-19 superdome is next to impossible.
  8. Lol, tomorrow....not that I am excited or anything. Couple more teasers
  9. This one seems to be getting a lot of wrist time [emoji106]🏻
  10. Yuki case set. Rehaut was trimmed a bit as the first plexi cracked.
  11. I have flown into Anchorage several times and while smaller is does have some resemblance. Flat with surrounding mountains. But once you compare the two.....I am way off [emoji85]
  12. @jackflash, great shot! You even matched the time up. You really do some amazing work on your builds [emoji122]🏻.
  13. Michael is a really great guy and awesome at what he does, but....C'Mon Man. @ceejay I believe this combination is possible. 1966 was the transitional year so you see both gilt and matte dials with both big and little GMT hands. Guessing this is a 66 or early 67.
  14. Airplane. I can't tell if you are coming or going. Seems like I remember landing coming in from the other direction. But it is hard to tell. You could also be on a surrounding mountain with high power zoom but I will stick with airplane. Were you up visiting Nanuq?
  15. Yep even with those pics, not looking good. Sorry man.
  16. Try the gen forums or use watchrecon for quick searches and see if any reputable sellers are selling one. Or contact Davidsw or Takuya over on TRF and see if they can source you one. I see used Breitlings for sell in the classifieds on TRF all the time. It takes some work and patience to find a good deal on a particular model but it can be done.
  17. Mike just sent me some pics. All I can say is WOW! Mike is a total professional.
  18. Matt, what browser are you using on your computer?
  19. Mymanmatt has nice aftermarket jubilees for a good price. Riyi on eBay has decent aftermarket ones also. Or go gen. I think mine was $300 in average condition but it's a DJ jubilee and does not take 2mm bars. It works fine with 1.8mm. If you want the jubilee that is made for a GMT they are stamped with a 50 and take 2mm bars but are usually quite a bit more expensive and somewhat hard to find.
  20. How did I miss this when you put it up. What a great post. Learned some new techniques thanks for sharing the detailed pics and work. Obviously a great watch resulted in all that work. Congrats man that is a beauty.
