  1. Nice, Here you go a $12K SS bracelet that is not attached to a watch from a seller with a feedback score of 97.8%. Well I guess I could make an offer. http://www.ebay.com/itm/RARE-ROLEX-PAT-PENDING-9315-BRACELET-YEAR-1-67-/161487576359?pt=Wristwatches&hash=item259968dd27
  2. Beautiful piece there. Looks great.
  3. First time I have had the 5513 off since she arrived. The GMT just seems Christmas. Sent from my droptop using telepathy.

  6. Hard to get any work done. I just sit here staring and drooling at this work of art...
  7. Based on your results, I would have to agree with you. Everyone is different in that way. My friend and I built race cars and his shop was a total mess and mine was very tidy and organized. Neither appeared to be more functional. He could find what he wanted in a pile of parts or tools in a second.
  8. Wholly smokes, if the shipping did not cost more than the item I would send you one today. I am afraid to ask, was my 5513 in there somewhere....
  9. Wow, a beautiful piece of artwork. Cannot wait to see it in a watch.
  10. Still having issues with the shortcuts and had a 9 duplicate post yesterday. iPhone 6+ 8.1.2. If I use the menu tree it is somewhat functional but clearly something is buggered up. Does the same on other forums. So must be a Tapatalk issue. Didn't care much for the latest patch anyways. Hopefully a fix is coming soon. Sent from my droptop using telepathy.
  11. Get well Pan153. 5513 with new bracelet Sent from my droptop using telepathy.
  12. Thanks for all the kind words. Changed bracelet. Modified a Yuki 93250. Drilled out to take 2mm bars. Beat it up with a wire brush, took the polish off the sides. Then finished with synthetic 000 steel wool. WSO 580 end links seem to fit the best with a little sanding. Soaked her in bike lube and mineral oil and.... I think this will work nicely until I find a gen. In all honesty for $75 and 5 hours of labor it looks and feels great. Sent from my droptop using telepathy.
  13. Thanks guys. Ya pretty cool of her. Much better than the usual cologne or Pro VX balls. I am pretty lucky. Initially when I joined the forum she asked one time. How much did you spend on all those Rolex's thinking they were all gens....she knew I was after a new gen but when 8 showed up I think she was a little concerned. I started to explain to her the fine nuances of a Franken build and she fell asleep...she knows I am hopelessly hooked so why fight it. Hard to believe but the box was purchased at our local Costco. Gotta love Costco. All loaded up now Sent from my droptop using telepathy
  14. Me too. Don't use the shortcuts at top of the screen. Use the list and it will function. Sent from my droptop using telepathy.
  15. I am pretty lucky as my wife tolerates my watch hobby, so much so that I received a rather cool watch related birthday gift from her this morning. Totally surprised me. For the most part when I talk about watches she just glazes over, but in her eyes if I find peace, joy and happiness in my watch obsession she supports that. I think this is a rather cool way to organize my quickly growing parts, straps, bracelets, and tools collection. Even has the Rolex green felt lining. For a guy my age, this is probably the coolest gift I have received in a long time, as I really had no idea something like this existed. I was going to get a tackle box style organizer, but this is much nicer. Pics:
  16. Switched to a strap. Spent the morning refinishing a Yuki bracelet that I think may work for her. Now enjoying a Padron. Sent from my droptop using telepathy.
  17. Case set was $650, but I paid an extra 50 for custom serial number so $600 for random #. No crown comes with it though. Sent from my droptop using telepathy.
  18. Thanks T. I sent you a PM. Sent from my droptop using telepathy.
  19. Never had the dial in my hands, direct shipped to dbane. But my explorer dial is stock Yuki and it's decent but lacks plot texture. Maybe dbane can chime in. Sent from my droptop using telepathy.
  20. Here you go. Let me know if u need a specific shot or part Sent from my droptop using telepathy.
  21. Thanks, I Agree, I do not get the beat to **** look. Why spend good money on parts and then destroy them. We have all seen plenty of vintage genuine pieces that are in excellent condition. Initially I was going to use the Yuki insert and have dbane age it or use a gen aged service insert, but when this insert became available with its natural aging I knew it would really make the piece. We had some discussions about lume color and he really captured exactly the look and feel I was envisioning. The decision to buy the MKIII insert was really influenced by seeing all the great pictures of your 6538 and the beautiful subtle fading on your insert. The insert put me over my initial budget but I think everyone would agree it is worth every penny....This was a really fun project and I learned a lot from dbane and yes I was lucky to have him working on this piece.
  22. +1 made a couple orders with WSO, never had an issue.
  23. What else would I be wearing today...My new born
  24. My new born
  25. Good morning fellow watch enthusiasts... The 5513 has arrived and is on the wrist today, just in time for my birthday and Christmas. Little history on how it got to me just to show that shipping and receiving can be interesting sometimes. Received tracking information and a few days later I checked to see where the package was. For some reason it went through customs in NY and then went through customs in Chicago a few days later, which I had never seen before. No big deal as I am in WA state so needs to make its way across the country. Then I check a couple days later and it is in Denver CO out for delivery but cannot be delivered due to incorrect address.....Now I am starting to panic. Contact USPS and they are really no help at all. Contact the shipper and he contacts Canada post and we still really do not know what is going on. 3 Days later tracking shows the package in Spokane WA, now I am feeling pretty good that she is coming home. However 4 hours later tracking shows it was delivered to a mailbox in Denver.....Now I am really confused and think I may be losing some holiday cheer. Yesterday I called USPS again, waited for about an hour on hold and they tell me it was delivered to my mailbox at 2PM yesterday but the tracking online still shows it was delivered in Denver, but also left Spokane the day before. She stated that in the 20 years of working at USPS she has never seen this happen. On her computer the package(s) was delivered to 2 different addresses in 2 different states within a 15 hour window. The same tracking number was issued to 2 different packages I have never seen that happen before and I hope it never happens again... So on to the build: Dbane modded the case and assembled the watch. He also helped with parts selection and build development. Many thanks to him for his patience with me through this process. A truly skilled watchsmith and a great guy and asset to the forum. Yuki modded case set with custom serial number (numbers that are special to me but period correct) Yuki ETA dial and hands Brand new Swiss ETA 2824 CWP (Michael Young) dome crystal Yuki 7206 bracelet (I am going to bite the bullet and get a genuine bracelet). Genuine crown Genuine MKIII bezel insert This is my first 5513 and it may be my favorite piece that I have ever owned, genuine or rep. Just a perfect balance of simplistic class but also sporty and rugged. I know one thing DOME crystals rule! Here are some pictures from my iPhone. I set up a makeshift light box and tripod but pics still need some work... Want to thank dbane again for everything. First class gentleman.
