  1. I have sent back about 6 watches to both Andrew and Joshua. Not too bad considering I bought over 50. I shipped via Canada Post Xpresspost/EMS. It takes about 4-5 days for them to receive them. I get an email from Joshua/Andrew immediately when their watchsmith receives them. I pay $20 extra just so I can get EMS shipping back to me. Turn around time is 3-5 days for the repair. EMS shipping is 4 days back to me. Total turn around time is about 2 weeks including the shipping. I have never had a single problem shipping watches back to China. The dealers in China deal with returns on a daily basis. I am sure they know how to get around customs to a certain degree. I suggest that the best shipping method is by goverment carriers like Canapost or USPS. The carrier is transfered over to EMS once the package hits China. Registered mail is ok too but takes a very long time, 2-3 weeks to reach there and no tracking is available. I now send back the case only without straps or bracelets. If the watch is packaged properly, it should avoid detection. During the package scan, a watch complete with straps might warrant a seizure for inspection, especially if only $10-20 is declared. If a watch is ever lost or seized, at least you still have the bracelets and straps left. I have absolutely no hesitation sending watches back to Andrew and Joshua. All watches returned to me are working awesome and this is why I continue to support them.
  2. Thanks man!!! That worked!! You are awesome!!
  3. Yes, this was a phenomenal review!!! Very informative and entertaining. I had my Cousteau The Zigmeisterfied with a completely relumed dial, Swiss ETA swap, and datewheel swap. Here are some pics:
  4. I second that!! I hope The Zigmeister never retires. I think most of us would be lost without him!!
  5. Hey The Zigmeister, was that my Bentley you tore apart? Oooohhhh, I can hardly wait to get it back!! I can't begin to thank you enough The Zigmeister, for your insight, dedication and contibutions to this forum. We are blessed with your presence.
  6. I was wondering the same thing. I bought some replacement straps from HKTan and I can seem for the life of me, remove the screws on the case. They are definately screws, but I am not sure if they are just cosmetic. I have a hammer tool but don't want to pound on it if they are indeed screws. I hope someone has the answer.
  7. The unfortunate thing is that the watches will be shipped over to The Zigmeister for the crystal removal. He was going to ship the crystals directly to you for AR treatment. If the Nav does indeed have a light AR, could you strip it for me?
  8. Since joining this forum in March I have purchased about 50 reps from Andrew and Joshua. That may be as much as anyone on this forum. Why? Their level of service and dedication is second to none. No other vendor replies to me at 3am in the morning, their time!! They replace broken parts, replace defective watches, and have a website that is stellar. Communication is most often instantaneous. My last shipment has been lost to Canadian Customs for a few weeks and Joshua is sending me a replacement order. This shows an extreme amount of integrity on his part. Although you may think that their prices are high, on the contrary, I think they are great. I negotiate some pretty good deals with them and they are always willing to try to earn my business. Why would I switch if I am very happy with the service they have provided me? I can afford real gens, and own some but buying reps stretches my dollar. I trust Joshua and Andrew implicitly. They have never ever steered me wrong and I am glad to have them as my prefered vendors. Anyone can sell and send out a watch. It is the after sales service that matters.
  9. Hey Rob, Glad to see you back in action again. I myself just got back from the Caribbean. I sent you 2 Bentley 6.75's so I also eagerly await your analysis and review.
  10. How can you tell if watches have a light AR or not? I have the IWC 3717 and Navtimer GMT World I would like to send out. Do you know if these watches have any existing AR? It doesn't appear so, but I cant really tell.
  11. Sign me up for 2 as well Chief.
  12. WOW!!! Everytime Josh and Andrew's name pops up there always seems to be a long debate. I know that Teejay is on a one man campaign to end the A&J cartel. Franky put, I think that Andrew and Joshua's service is exemplarary. People pay what they perceive as a good value. They might not be the cheapest, but who cares. That is why people pay different prices for the same Hi-Def TV set. I have purchased over 40 reps from them in a few short months. I couldn't be more happier. I have also negotiated some great deals as well. THEY WILL NEGOTIATE!! I have had a couple of issues with a few pieces, but they were handled with care and attention. Don't get me wrong, I have listened and monitored some of the comments made pertaining to some of the wording and services provided by A&J and I take them into consideration. I have never once felt "ripped off" buying anything from them. If the service level continues, they have my dedicated patronage. I don't think that there are any vendors as hard working as they are. Answering e-mails back to me at 3AM is unreal. Communication is excellent, and a huge selection to boot. I know that there are a lot of great dealers on these forums and no dealer has had a perfect record when it comes to service and promises. We just have to learn from mistakes and improve. Teejay, I know your intentions are good trying to protect many of the members of these forums, but there are many very satisfied customers that support A&J. If you have bad ass comments, try to keep them to yourself. We have heard them all before.
  13. Quality control on reps lately has been absolute crap. 6 defective watches in the last 3 months. Granted that Andrew and Joshua take care of the problems right away, but It is still expensive to ship back and becomes a time consuming problem. The latest problem is that the crown on my Yachtmaster has come out. I am very careful with my watches, and this one just came out after unscrewing it. Is there a way to fix this without sending the watch back?
  14. Okay, I leave for my cruise on Thursday. I have been really stumped on what to bring. I have narrowed it down to: - Santos 100 Chrono - PAM111H - Steelfish - Ultimate PO - Cousteau Diver - HBB - IWC 3717 Still need your help deciding. I am only going to bring down 3 watches. Thanks!!
  15. Happy Birthday Ken!!!!! We all miss you!! I wish I could send you a big birthday cake shaped like a watch to stimulate your memory. Get well and come back soon.
  16. Try now. I changed it to topic listing. Can't link to posted item for some reason.
  17. Here is another fake HBB on Ebay. I think this is the same idiot who listed this a week ago. No box and papers. Give me a break. Here is the link: HBB It is listed as Hublot Big Bang Like New Chrono Date. It has a pink shaded boarder around the listing.
  18. Eagles - Hell Freezes Over Eric Clapton - Unplugged
  19. The HE Valve is the only weakness on the watch. It does not use seals and does not turn as tight as the gen. All they do is glue the HE Valve. I negotiated waterproofing for free when I bought mine from Joshua. I have tested it swimming, snorkelling and hot tub with no problems. I think the very best method is the vac chamber test. I have to find one of these used. So far, the PO and Steelfish are the only 2 watches out of 40+ I trust in the water. I think it is really hit and miss. I just don't want to chance it.
  20. It goes to show how damn good this rep is. Here is mine with a gen rub strap. One of my favs.
