This really goes to show how precious life is and to cherish every moment we have. My condolences to you. He was lucky to have such a friend to have thought so fondly of him. May he rest in peace.

Hehe, I know. Andrew told me to send it back to get it fixed again, but I thought that there was fix I could do myself. Apparently these are on backorder from the factory and could be a month wait before the parts are available

I bought my BCE a few months back and have had 2 problems with it. Both times I have sent the watch back to Andrew for repair. Each time, this costs me about $70 in shipping for sending and return EMS. This time I have a problem with the crown not screwing back in place. Has anyone ever had this problem before? Do you know of a fix? It is getting pricey to keep sending this back. I could have bought a new one by now. Keep in mind that this is not my daily wear watch. I alternate between about 40 reps. Only have worn this once since the last time I got this back from Andrew. Any ideas?? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I tap on the crystal just like someone whom I know of did on a Big Pilot

How do you change the strap on Cartier Santos chrono?
Jawo replied to sqml's topic in Other Brands Area
I got a strap from HKTan for my Santos 100 Chrono. It is indeed quite hard to get the pins out. You have to hammer out the pins. They look like screws but don't use a screwdriver, otherwise you will strip the ends completely. I used a hammer from a watch repair kit I picked off ebay for $10. -
I think I have the same strap. Size is 125/85 for my 7 1/2" wrist. 115/75 is standard. I love this strap.

The Zigmeisterfied Angus 111E for today.

I am not sure of that, but not likely I will be showing off my watch in the dark

Well, this happened to me about 7 years ago when I was a manager at a major electronics store. A customer came into the store wanting a diagram how to build a car audio subwoofer box. We sold him the diagram with instructions and sent him on his way. He called the store asking for a manager. I picked up the call and he was swearing and complaining how the instructions were all wrong and asked for his money to be refunded. I stated that the specs and instructions were directly from an installer who has won multiple trophies for his designs and worksmanship. He insisted that the instructions were wrong. I asked him to return to the store. When he came into see me, I asked him where he parked and he handed over his keys so I could pull his car into the install bay. I asked him what he drove and he said it was a Pontiac Goole. I never heard of that model I said. He said it is in the first line by the entrance and to look for a blue car. I walked the whole line of about 20 cars and couldn't find it. I went back in and told him I couldn't find the car. He called me an idiot and we went outside together only to find a Pontiac 6000LE. It gets better. I drove the car into the install bay and popped the trunk. I don't think I have ever laughed so hard in my life. The instructions called for using poly fill fiberglass for sound dampening. He had glued the fiberglass to the whole outside of the sub box. It looked like a pink square puffed animal.

They are indeed great pics. Very suiting props for the watch

I finally got my watches back after a seemingly long and eager wait. I sent 3 watches over to The Zigmeister and took participation in Chieftang's latest AR run. I look at them with amazement and forget that they are not the real deal. Angus' 111E Without a question, I think that this version is one of the best out there. The spacing of the L Swiss L is simply outstanding. The crown is thick and snug against the case. The crown lever pin is flat like it should be. The only critisism I have read is the inaccuracy of the lume. The color should be closer to white and no superlumiova is applied by Angus. The fix? Simply a visit to The Zigmeister. He used a mixture of 30% C1 and 70% C3. The result is spectacular. The luminosity is as good as straight C3. Have a look: IWC 3717 From Andrew A lot of time an money has been spent on this watch. The Zigmeister has put in a Swiss ETA, relumed the hands and dial and swapped out the datewheels with the ETA version. The crystal was sent to Chieftang for a double AR coating. This rep is perhaps my favorite of all my reps. The accuracy to the gen is uncanny. The coating of the AR is phenomenal and not too overpowering. To give it that extra special touch, I paired it with a custom made strap from HKTan. Navtimer World GMT from Joshua Since I could not find a ETA 7753 for a good price, I decided the next best thing was to send it off to The Zigmeister for a full servicing. He also swapped out the datewheel and relumed the hands and dial. The crystal was sent off to Chieftang for the double AR coating. This rep is paired to a genuine Breitling leather strap. One of my first and favorite reps. Thank you very much The Zigmeister and Chieftang for your fine work and dedication. I think the pictures speak for themselves. Jawo

I have personally purchased over a dozen of Ken's suits and they are very good quality. I have also bought many other wears for friends and family and everyone is very happy with them. I guarantee that the suits will please you. I did a review of Bergies Belts a few months back. I compared the suits to gen suits that I own also. Here is the link: Review of Bergies Belts

Hanky Panky going on in the rep assembly line?
Jawo replied to RWG Technical's topic in General Discussion
When the factory worker asked his plant manager about the quality control on the watch he was working on, the manager said "screw it" so he did. -
Oops!! Sorry Jake, didn't realize link 4 were my pics

Should the new SeaDweller be classed as a super rep?
Jawo replied to FxrAndy's topic in The Rolex Area
It is only us being so anal when it comes to the accuracy of reps. The average person would not notice nor care. When was the last time someone busted you that you were wearing a rep? The SD is a nice watch, just like so many others. Is there such thing as a perfect rep? Even the Steelfish, PO, Link, and SMP Chrono have noticible flaws. Those are considered among the best reps of all time. Maybe they are intended not to be built perfect. I think the factories and designers purposely design reps not to be 100% accurate. China is the master of counterfeiting. They can duplicate very accurately everything from watches to cellphones, to clothing. -
Hey!!! It is not the watch, it is the man purse that gives him a way (and his hair, and his jeans, and his shirt, and his belt, and his finely trimmed eyebrows, and his tiffany bracelet, and the way he holds his manpurse) NOT THE WATCH!!! LOL

When I was down in Cozumel a couple months ago, I picked up this Philip Stein Testlar watch for about a $1000. It came with 2 gator straps, yellow and black. Apparently Philip Stein is one of Oprah's favorite things. It utilizes Testlar technology which repels and neutralizes harmful electro-magnetic energy emitted by cellphones, computers and other electronic devices. While wearing it, your bodies electomagnetic field is reduced to the time before the electronic era. To get full effect of the watch, it must remain on your wrist constantly. This is hard to do for me since I have oodles of reps begging to be worn. The way this technology works is by 2 testlar chips embeded on the caseback of the watch. Over time, the saturated electromagnetic energy is absorbed by the testlar chips and will turn dark and will need replacement. I did not buy this watch because of the testlar. I bought it because I like the style and look of the watch. It is incredibly comfortable to wear. The case is like a Franck Muller Curve, by contouring around your wrist.

I just received my Arktos from Andrew, and it is a beauty. I have discovered a flaw though, that I have never seen before. There are 2 small dents on both sides of the crown lever. It is smooth and I can't even feel it with my finger. Do you have any ideas? Andrew is going to see if he can ship me a replacement crown guard, so I trust this will be resolved. Here is a pic:

Where did you get the watch? Have you tried asking the dealer you bought it from?
