  1. Im gunna get one of these shirts made.. i would totally wear that LOL
  2. i would have never thought to put a super avenger in a strap.. but WOW that looks great!! I love the blue on blue! Lonnie
  3. oh but they're not all the same... The true Noob is the F520117 (or similar i forget exactly) serial number, with straight rehaut. Some of the dealers have a similar one with a "D" serial number (I also have one of these) and its got a bad conical rehaut and HUGE date mag) Similar to Andrews Ultimate. I believe Paul sells a noob ETA for about $188 and TTK also. TTK's watches arnt drop shipped so you know you're not gunna get a lemon. By-Tor's review of the Noob
  4. sorry if this has been posted before.. i just came across it and wanted to share Rolex Rebuild Reference Site Lonnie
  5. WOW thats awesome!!! I want to one day build one of these! But for now i am going to stick with Subs and Sea-dwellers until i get some more build time under my belt. Is this one of the two watches DW recently had for sale? Those were nice too Enjoy the new watch! Lonnie
  6. Its probably the same watch.. dont forget, the Cartel dealers will be more expensive that the other guys. Silix will have a similar watch for prob $50 less. Andrew and Josh just raised a bunch of thier prices last week.... LOnnie
  7. yeah its a amazing how the rehaut can completely wreck a otherwise good submariner rep. I also have one of these.. Andrews Ultimate and its got that crazy conical rehaut. Its adding a thick silver metal ring around the dial that isnt supposed to be there. They shouldnt even be allowed to sell these reps these days. Get a Asian Noobmariner for $100 and its almost perfect. Rehaut it 1.8mm deep instead of 2mm on the gen but at least its straight and correct. If you dont want to sell your watch then try to buy a better watch case (from a broken watch) and swap all the parts over. Lonnie
  8. if you take pictures to close, then the rehaut might appear more conical (wokky) than it really is. You cant really swap out the rehaut.. you need to replace the entire case.\ LOnnie
  9. Yeah thats crazy stuff.. what was that other bug spray stuff they used in orchards? Diazanon or something.. its just deadly apparently. You used to be able to buy it everywhere in huge pails.. and i remember as a kid running around spraying apple trees and just getting soaked with the stuff
  10. New gen rolex bracelets are hollow in the middle link also. This is correct and one of the things that makes the Noobmariner famous.. the correct dial and the near perfect bracelet. For the flimsy thing.. file the sharp edges off it, then sand it with 400 then 600 grit. After that soak it in oil over night to lubricate all the joints. Then clean it and put it back on the watch.. oh yeah dont dunk the watch head in oil LOL This will make a HUGE difference trust me. Lonnie
  11. make sure the extra pin is still in the clasp. its the one that grabs the "teeth" notched out of the bracelet. The diving extension should "snap" firmly into place when not in use. If not then the bracelet probably needs some adjustment. LOnnie
  12. you are prob fine. Ive seen that same message before. Everything comeing into the country has to go through customs brokers. no big deal.
  13. OMG where did you find her? Looks like a michael jackson experiment gone bad
  14. i never believed this pre-servicing from the beginning. Why would you need to service a new ETA? Doesnt make sense to me. I'm gunna have to believe what The Zigmeister and the senior members have to say. They know whats going on. Paying for pre-service = scam Lonnie
  15. Yeah you prob get the exact same watch either way, except some people are chosing to pay an extra $20 for serial number option.. very sneaky. Also with the upgrading from regular case and japan movement to "Swiss case with Japan movement" for only $10. This is prob the lowest grade they have anyways.
  16. maybe its the difference between buying the movements in sealed packs or in bulk or however they word it. I know there is a diff in pricing and the bulk ones are cheaper but they could also dry out or get contaminated. The "fully serviced" ones are probably the ones that are individually sealed until they are installed in the watch. But ya since we are talking about counterfeit products from Asia, you are probably getting the same watch either way.. Lonnie
  17. "Authentic watches" HA HA HA uhmm ok New Daytonas seconds @ 6 starting at only $1900.. very reasonably priced. Submariners starting at $1400... Brutal
  18. jumper cables? haha just kidding thanks again and oh yeah.. my vintage Explorer II project apparently just started. I already have the crown and tube removed, CW reworked, lug holes drilled though and gen springbars installed with rivited bracelet... Its rough but its well on its way!!! woo hoo! Lonnie
  19. OH MY GOD the soldering iron worked!!! wow good idea! Didnt take hardly any heat at all! Caseback unscrewed smooth as silk first try! thankyou! Lonnie
  20. WOW could you imagine? yikes! as long as i can have the box of the later "Comex" parts then I'll be happy, you can have the old "James Bond" parts LOL
