Hi Muddi, refer to my post (cited by Hayden), but consider that they're all not "100% clones", meaning that only 2824 and 2836 accepts 99.9% of the gen ETA spare parts. The 775x for example are more let's say 70% equal etc etc.

Sead is more than fine. Stick to Asian Eta 2824 or 2836 as beginner. Then read read read and then get a 7750. 21j for me only with small seconds. Avoid change date with watch between 9pm and 3am ( not valid for all movements but an overall good suggestion). Cheers.

Yep, actually when I work on tiny details of the movements (like the hairspring) I even go for 20x. It would be nice to have some budget models there... I mean... Good quality but maybe 2/3 lens and 100$...

Hi All, I've been given from a colleague an old hand wind Vostok watch that was not working. It is the one with the tank on the black dial. To fix it I got from the web a not working donor watch where I took the needed part. Now it's time to reassemble the final one and I'm in doubt about which dial to put in,,, They both have practically no lume at all. The black one is maybe more characteristic, but the grey one has more historical value, because of the write "3aka3 md cccp" which means "Ordered from the defence minister", while the black only says "Made in CCCP". Which one will you choose? The case is the one on the right in the first 2 pictures. This is the strap that will complete the watch:
