Look for "Supermirrors" in the Trusted dealers list (there is a section for the dealers in the forum).

Com'on... For sure it is a Noob. No one else uses the gold 2836 superclone. Ah and by the way also BK confirmed it's the 2014 v3. Movement is already fully unassembled at my bench and I'm going to clean it and reassemble/oil it next week.

Maybe its the normal way. I've had good experience in this field with Sead (Supermirrors TD) who sent me a free set of hands, and currently I also have a watch in China to Trevor (trevor watch). Hope it will go fine...

Hands for the cheap version should fit: 21j=clone of Miyota 8215. 8215 has hands= 17/100/152 Miyota 9015 has hands= 17/100/152 Font: http://www.ofrei.com/page1119.html (search for DG2813), http://www.citizen.co.jp/miyota_mvt/download/index.html#8205 and http://www.citizen.co.jp/miyota_mvt/download/index.html#9015 (2nd PDF from the left)

Which kind of modding should be done to make the insert "gen like"? If it is related to number painting, I can do it (as I have already did the TopGun symbol on my Iwc ceramic) if you can advise about the right color Thanks
-
Agree with you, it's ok and after the service of the movement it will be perfect Actually, is it normal that these ones don't have the laser etched coronet in the crystal? I've a BP GMT II (PVD pro-hunter batman version) and it has it. Same for Noob V1. I suppose that if V1 has it and V3 doesn't it's right that there is no coronet... Am I right? Thanks
-
Uhm... I don't know Ezio. Look here. From the top: Angus' Noob V3, mine one and Angus' Noob V1. Don't look the color, since that depends a lot of the camera and light condition of the shot. The hands and the perl of mine looks much more like V3.

Just for your info I discovered 2 things. 1) http://www.watch-station.co/ which is also a TD here but for whatever reason its subforum is read-only and completely empty. It is part of Angus (pure-time) business. He sells the same watches he has on www.pure-time.com, but with no post-sale service (so no guarantee, no "send back to repair", no custom seizure protection) and a lower price. 2) http://www.tswatchltd.com/ which is TD at RWG & RWI also started to offer the same service (and as WatchStation there is no minimum amount, so even 1 piece is ok). Same like upper, you just need to identify the watch and require the "no after sale service price". The quotation is done on watch model base, so the discounts are different. To give you an example of what we are speaking about (examples from today from TSWatch): Requested from a member that didn't specified the model Main Site Price: $288 plus $15 shipping - $303 Main Site Price if using WU (10% discount): $272.70 (Including Delivery) Wholesale Price: $209 plus $15 shipping - $224 Blue Black Bay Site Price - $318 plus $15 Postage Site Price with WU discount - $299 delivered Wholesale Price - $254 plus $15 Postage Of course these are good rules (from zero_deficit member on RWG): Who shouldn't consider using wholesale services: - Those in high customs risk countries - Those who want a bit of peace of mind that they'll have a fully functioning rep - Those with little/none watch repair skills - And those with no local access to a decent watchmaker Who should consider using wholesale services: - Those in countries who don't usually have problems with customs - Those with adequate watch repair skills or access to a decent local watchmaker - Local dealers - Those who have never really benefited or needed after sales service Still to understand if they can do triangulated shipment...

Hi All, got it today from a member on the cousin forum, and after the first checks I've seen that: 1) the date doesn't change by itself (it changes only if I use the quick date set, but not moving the hands) 2) the DWO is poorly aligned for half of the DW (numbers 16 -> 29 too much on the left of the date window) For point 1: I've already started to overhaul the movement in order to fix the problem. Luckily I'm able to do by my self. For point 2: I've asked to BK if he can sell me a DWO (gosh, it's expensive! 25$ + 10$ shipping for such little piece of printed plastic...). Just for my personal culture, is there any other option? Anyway, now I'd like to know if someone knows which version it is. It has been sold as Noob V3... Can you identify and confirm or tell me what this is from the following pics? Thanks a lot, GenTLe

Eventually go cheaper and get a veal leather perforated one: http://www.watchstrapworld.com/tag-heuer-monaco-c-15_3

Have you moved back to USA?

The machine works this way: the watch is lifted in a closed volume where also water is present. You slowly put pressure (3, 5, 10 atm for 30, 50 or 100m) in it and wait some 20 minutes. Then put the watch into water and very slowly you release the pressure. If you see bubbles coming out from the watch than it is not waterproof and you also see where to work on. You can build the machine if you are good with tools and have experience.

Oh yes! My hypothesis was if it was taking like 2 or 3 hours faster a day. If it is "crazy fast" what miskieped wrote is 99.99% correct. Not an easy problem unfortunately. If it's 2824 or 2836 based you can ask an horologist to replace the fork with thè original one. If it's a 7750 I'm not sure at all that the ETA77750 gen one will fit... I think the best is to send it back with EMS...

Only thing I can imagine is hairspring with some oil on it that got "glued", meaning its spires got attached between them, making the balance wheel to run much faster than it should. Not a difficult fix but it needs a good hand and tools. And it would be better to fully service the movement anyway. Look here: Sticky Hairspring: http://youtu.be/oVT8DRAGLxM

Looking for help with my first replica, not working...
GenTLe replied to Jon D's topic in General Discussion
Similar and working: any rep vintage daytona with a Venus handwind movement. Or any a7753 based watch (similar dial configuration), or also any one with 7750 modified (sec @9, hours @6, 30min @3). -
+1 Or too many things to say but not knowing how to put them
-
Just fyi Ryan at InTime has now in promotion many HBB. The only problem with them is that they come with no lume (at all), but reluming them will make them great at the original price.

Same. My AL&S real crocodile flourished after that treatment
-
Seal fat. You put it on the strap (take it out from the watch), put a good layer on it, then put the strap in a warm place (30°C up to 40) and let the fat to melt and being absorbed by the leather. It's perfect for the leather. Avoid products based on silicone.

He is a bit delaying in the last period. But he's there. Got his reply today (saying that maybe, finally, today he'll get my 2 watches that I paid 3 weeks ago...). Just a matter of patience with him.

Vac is yours a BP factory one? They generally are ok after a service. BP ones that I've seen were generally all dry and a bit dirty and the keyless mechanics (keyless are those tiny bits that are connected to stem and winding/date or time settings) suffer a lot because of that.
