  1. You're right Auto, but also consider that a new a7750 for replacement is around 110$ and the standard replacement parts like the stem or the barrel or the double corrector gear are replaceable with gen eta parts. Most scary for me are those parts only available from the factories, like crystals or crowns or hands...
  2. Tictoc, they are actually both 116622, which is the only one that comes with blue dial. From 2013 you can also have it with rolesium dial and you recognise it from the 16622 version because the latest one has oysterlock clasp like the ceramic sub, and blue instead of green lume
  3. Getting confused by the amount of Daytona around all referenced as "P. Newman"... This is amazing, but I'm not getting if it is correctly a P.N. or what else: And what about this lovely rep? Gen version:
  4. As from boots, the leather will need time to become softer and take the shape. Usually I treat the leather straps with seal fat and stress them manipulating them. Finally I put them on the pillow of the watch box with strap closed to make them take the proper shape.
  5. Thanks Ponti They looks good to me too. If I remember well, Tc did only one YM (factory ready, made from his assistant): I think I read about it last Monday.
  6. There are reasons for which I *need* to purchase from Toro. Therefore I'm selecting my next one from it. So, what's wrong with Toro ones? Considering more or less all the dealers have the same pieces, which is the difference with other's dealer ones?
  7. Proudly showing off my M2M (on the dark side forum) new A. L&S with real croco strap
  9. So it's in-line with the Sunnydale costs over RWI, good, VERY good to have another AR service possibility (mainly considering that Sunny works only with batch of 100 pieces so it's always a LOOOOOOONG time requested for each batch to e collected and then exected). Thanks mate!
  10. WOW, that's just WOW. To have an idea, the reasonable price of the AR how much is around.... ?
  11. Thanks Reading his blog I've seen he does transhipping for EU, so I'll think about it (when I'll have enough funds). And, it's a sin he's not doing (or his nice assistant) that amazing YachtMaster...
  12. Hi All, I'm not a deep Rolex connoisseur (nor a superficial... I'm not a Rolex connoisseur at all actually ), as like as I'm not a SUB great fan (like them, but I prefer my Blancpain), but recently my attention has been caught from the Yacht Master line. Not the II series, which I find a bit inelegant with that dial, but surely the 1st version. Again I'm not a noob, so I'm not gonna ask about "who has the best YM?", and I restricted my choices to the 2x A2836 "V5 factory" versions @ToroBravo site, the blue and the grey dial on SS case ones. So: http://www.torobravos2014.com/index.php?route=product/product&path=39_244&product_id=1172 and http://www.torobravos2014.com/index.php?route=product/product&path=39_244&product_id=1177 How do you evaluate these models? Are they good in your Rolex-expert eyes? (I've already searched the forum but didn't find any reference to the Toro or V5 factory models) Can they be considered "super-rep" and, if not, what's wrong with them? Moreover: I'm in trouble to decide between the blue (nice reflections, eye-catching, more sporty) and the grey one (also nice reflections, less eye-catching but more classy). What do you think about them and which one would be your choice (this is just a poll, let's say)? Thanks!! GenTLe
  13. Differences also in mineral vs sapphire crystal, presence or antireflective coating or not, old versions or newer (more gen like) versions etc. And of course movement, from the ultacrappy "new breed Asian 28.800 BPH, passing to the low cost 2813 21.600 BPH, to the good Asian eta 2824&2836, to the good Miyota 91xx series to the final excellent Sellita. And this only counting the plain auto non chrono. Then there are the manual winding (plain or chrono), the cheap quartz, the at least 3 different auto chronos...
  14. Gerlach for me too today (yes, with date 1 day in advance [emoji2] )
  15. Hi, it tooks around 18 days to arrive. I didn't make an offer, just went straight for the asked price.
  16. Nice watch For those interested this is its sound:
  17. Thanks Ah, discovered that the "bunsen" in reality is an adapter for refill with spray buthan and also that there is a replacement spark wheel So I filled it, regulated and it works perfectly! About the "ping!" sound: I would say exactly same tone like this one, but a bit less persistent in time / resonating.
  18. http://www.rwg.bz/ you mean? It's still there and sadly I've to say it's much more active than this one, that apart from the work of Nanuq, Mike O.T.B. and sometimes Ken, looks sadly a bit abandoned by the main admin
  19. It arrived today :-) AMAZING lighter. It came with spare flints (8x in Dupont package) and spare "bunsen", plus the complete box and documentation/guarantee card and finally with a real leather Dupont belt case. I'm EXTREMELY happy about it, even if, I've to say, it's a bit heavy in the pocket, with its 143g Also happy that it passed by Italian customs with NO problem at all I can only give a great feedback to the seller, which is "Oldshop1980" on iOffer. The product is this: https://www.ioffer.com/i/s-t-dupont-highest-quality-lighter-ab097b-528506002 Here some pics (the engravings are not that visible in the pictures due to the metal shine, but they're really well done!):
  20. Uh... Did you mounted back the hands in the wrong position? Which kind of job have you done with the stem?
  21. M/S Batory from G. Gerlach on aftermarket strap today
  22. If it's to assist someone it is a damn hard problem. Anyway my friend, who is a long path bus driver uses to pluck nose hairs. Each pull gives him 5 minutes of adrenaline:)
  23. All I can say is that's the truth. I go back&forth from Poland within the last 5 years and definitively Polish women aren't easy (in every possible way)
