  1. Same factory also do this one, and there's a video showing real color: http://www.ttw888.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=1_5&products_id=10347
  2. WOWOWOWOW!!! How the heck is possible to have automatic Seiko 5 sold for80$? Or Invicta watches from 800 to 90$???? What's the trick there?
  3. Haha, don't show her this good and trusted dealer so, or you'll be ruined -> http://replicaplaza.net/ EDIT: ah, I see you already found it... Ok, stealth browse mode ON and delete the history when closing the browser
  4. Get a gen one with proper ETA, not IWC but real pilot (they were making real pilot watches since the thirties): http://www.stowa.de/lshop,showrub,140398277519598,en,1403982776-19598,flieger,index,,,.htm
  5. +1. And the only "real coffee machine" for me looks this way That broth the rest of the world calls coffee isn't coffee...
  6. Look here http://puretime-asia.com/search/?searchstring=PAM127
  7. Just because I've a perfect way to get rid of them I don't have real terms of paragon since I don't own any high level gen with AR coating, but out of the 3 it's the best one.
  8. Loved this watch from 1st sight. Here a very short review of the one I purchased from ToroBravo. History of the model: There is a word that is thrown around a lot in the watch world that means the public takes a watch (or anything else for that matter) seriously. That word is legitimacy and I love to hear the French pronounce it. Cartier is what they call a legitimate brand. They have heaps of reputation, a solid history and plenty of important people who wear their products. Classic Cartier designs are also a great influence to their direct competitors. They really are the model of a solid luxury watch brand. A few years ago, Cartier decided that this was not enough. They wanted even more legitimacy, especially with the growing population of seasoned watch lovers. This meant adding a lot more high-end watches to their range, as well as offering in-house made movements. The first watches to contain in-house Cartier movements were very high-end. Cartier offered a brand new look and feel to the type of watch that could bear the Cartier name. All these watches had exotic movements and prices were on par with that of some very nice real estate. In 2010 Cartier announced the release of the simply named Calibre, a story that I covered here. The new masculine watch offered a sporty look (more so than Cartier’s other sport watches such as the Pasha, Santos, and Roadster) as well as, for the first time, an “entry-level” Cartier with an in-house movement. Some picture of the GEN one to compare: The rep: I like it a lot, even if it's not fully identical to the gen. The main differences I spotted are: - the movement (obvious). Even if I have to say that ToroBravo version has a very well finished asian ETA clone which is much better than other TD versions which have a gold caliber or goldish engraving on the rotor. This is the main reason I went for TB version. - the silver circle around the seconds subdial in the gen pass exactly by the hole of the main hands stem, in the rep is 2/3mm below it - the 4 superluminova square dots @12, 3, 6 and 9 look a bit yellowish at normal daylight. I couldn't get it they are like them in the gen too... - the gen lugs have a shine finiture on the borders, the rep are fully brushed Anyway these are all minor flaws for me. I really like this watch even if it appear "huge" regarless its 43mm size
  9. So nice that I simply couldn't resist... So I catched an Omega POLM. Some details about the gen model (from http://www.omegawatches.com/planet-omega/watchmaking/liquidmetal): Swatch Group researchers collaborating with OMEGA’s product development team created a striking ceramic bezel whose numbers and scaling, made of the Liquidmetal® alloy, appear in stunning silvery contrast to the black ceramic background. The colour of the ceramic dial perfectly matches that of the bezel. The result is an aesthetic wonder only made possible by several new and innovative processes. The Liquidmetal® alloy is an amorphous metal – a metallic material with a disordered, non-crystalline atomic structure. Its fusion temperature is half that of conventional titanium alloys but when it is cooled, its hardness is three times as great as that of stainless steel. Its amorphous structure allows it to bond seamlessly with the ceramic bezel. A bulk metallic glass like Liquidmetal® can, by virtue of its low critical cooling rate, be formed into a structure with a thickness of more than a tenth of a millimetre. Zirconium is an important constituent part both of the Liquidmetal® alloy and of the ceramic material which is made of zirconium dioxide (Zr02). The final, perfectly smooth bezel is particularly resistant to scratching and corrosion because of the hardness of the two components. The OMEGA Seamaster Planet Ocean Liquidmetal® Limited Edition, which has a stainless steel case and bracelet, is driven by OMEGA’s revolutionary Co-Axial calibre 2500. These movements, which have been heralded for their long-term chronometric performance, are perfectly complemented by the robust, corrosion-resistant ceramic and Liquidmetal® alloy components. The result is pure OMEGA: a design premiere which will retain its appearance indefinitely, blended with innovative Co-Axial technology. The Noob rep: Can't say a lot: it's one of the best super rep I've ever seen and this it's execution is just perfect. It's just quite problematic to properly size the bracelet as the links are VERY tight and definitively not easy to deal with. Let's the pictures speak for me. Cheers, GenTLe
  10. Absolute love for the DayDate II. From Matt too?
  11. I recently got attracted by this modding brand, so I decided to get my 1st GMT watch in this shape. Some history of Pro-Hunter (from http://www.discoverprohunter.com/): The Pro Hunter is to Rolex as AMG is to Mercedes Benz. We are proud to be the first company to personalise a range of limited edition steel Rolex sports watches, creating a collection of stunning and desirable timepieces. Originally designed as a robust timepiece for hunting, the collection has now plugged the gap in the Rolex product line of sports watches. The designs not only pay homage to the golden years of Rolex of the 1950's and 1960's but are also faithful to the Rolex style and history. Our designs are inspired by Rolex vintage models such as the Daytonas with anti-reflective bezels, the 4-line James Bond big crowns, the Military Submariners specifically created for the Special Boat Squadron, and especially the black coated Rolex Submariner made for a few British Army Officers based in Africa. Customisations include: - Anti reflective "Diamond Like Carbon" case coating, available in three unqiue styles; original, matt and stealth. - Military models fitted with fixed bars and a canvas strap ensuring durability and comfort for outdoor activities. - Individually engraved and numbered case backs for each limited edition. - Pro-Hunter print on the dial. For many years our hunting clients yearned for a Rolex designed for the hunting community. So I collaborated their thoughts to one of my main experience which was when I held a black coated Rolex Submariner in my hands especially made by Rolex for a few British Army officers based in Africa. The BP Factory rep: Not much to say except it's a real beauty! PVD looks very good and resistant and the only flaws are: the bezel that is 24 clicks unidirectional while the gen is 24 clicks bidirectional the GMT hand is a little misaligned, meaning that when the watch marks 12 'o clock, the GMT hand marks x.10min (but this will be fixed during movement servicing) The difference from the gen is obviously the movement, the bezel clicks (also I'm not sure is the rep has ceramic or painted Al one) and the bars of the bracelet which aren't fixed but standard. The ROLEXROLEX and serial nr. in the rehault are present, even if not visible in the pictures For the rest the pictures will spoke for me. The TD and the deal: Gosh, Andrew is incredible... Pulled the trigger for this one http://www.ttw888.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=1_5&products_id=11573 on Friday 20 June at around 10.30PM. Since it's from BP and some users got the BP watches with wrong movement (new breed asian clone of the clone, also called POS movement), I sent further mail telling Andrew "please please please check it will not come with one of those bad new breed asian clone of the clone" Got his reassurances at 2.xx AM Then, at 5.35 PM (SATURDAY 21 june) I got QC pictures... Shipped on Monday 23 and got it on my desk, in Italy, on Thursday 26 morning Funny (and good) thing: I ordered the model with "Asian Eta 2836-2 Modified to Rolex Calibre 3187 Markings and Bridges". Yesterday I opened it to check for the movement and I've found inside an original Swiss Eta movement! And I'm pretty sure of that: the stamping on the rotor, the "moon shaped" cut under the balance... Everything looks gen (and in need of servicing) Another win-win deal with him!
  12. Unfortunately I still haven't come to Norway, I've rode my motorcycle up to Stockholm (by Malmo, Hoor etc) but not yet in the fjord land Italians prefer "La lingua batte, dove il clito ride"
  13. DEFINITIVELY! Yesterday I lost 2hrs to shorten the bracelet. As pin pusher I was using a good steel micro screwdriver, a very small hammer, and some wood underneath the bracelet not to scratch it. I also tried to remove the half link (and it's where my screwdriver snapped...) but I gave up I got some hard time dealing with it but in the end I managed to take away 3 full links (my wrist is 7.5) and now it's good (loose enough not to press on my skin but not too much to rotate like crazy)
  14. Gran, please take care: not all of us would take this as "funny"... Cheers, GenTLe (from Varese - Italia)
  15. Ciao Gianluca Saluti da un malato di orologi di Varese Back to english to be polite with other readers: the shiny part on the brushed one can be fixed (if the part is steel and not covered with gold layer) easily: did it yesterday eve on a brand new Omega PO LM that had some little scratch on the closure clips. Just go into some ironmongery shop and buy a foil of water-use sand paper grane 1500 (not less than 1500), take a bit of it, make it soak with water and pass it (taking care of the brushing mark directions) over the wrong shiny parts. They'll become nicely brushed as the rest. Eventually do some test on the back of the bracelet just to be confident. If the brushed parts are more rough then go for a bigger grain of sand paper (I'd not go below 1000 in any case) Ciao, GenTLe
  16. Watch arrived and already on my wrist. Very nice one, PVD looks very good and resistant and the only flaws are: the bezel that is 24 clicks unidirectional while the gen is 24 clicks bidirectional the GMT hand is a little misaligned, meaning that when the watch marks 12 'o clock, the GMT hand marks x.10min (but this will be fixed during movement servicing) Funny (and good) thing: I ordered the model with "Asian Eta 2836-2 Modified to Rolex Calibre 3187 Markings and Bridges". 17. Hi French cousin! Accueil!
  18. Oh man, how much I understand you... But we are IT, so we MUST (in their minds) stick to all new trashnology that comes out, know all the functions of ALL the smartphones around, and, obviously, be ready to fix "that PC I've at home, which is not working fine but it's only 7 years old and I'd like to have W8 on it" :/ If only DEAD people understand hexadecimal, how many people understand hexadecimal?
  19. Ehi, what's that? Never seen one...
  20. Don't the "magic liquid" work the same? (I call it this way from the blocked engine disassemble time)
  21.
