As most Evo fans know, the date font on the genuine is a bit different. Genuine Breitling date wheels are hard (impossible?) to come by. Switching to a genuine movement might be a solution. This movement is out on the Bay, with 17 hours left. The date font looks quite good to me. I suppose it is not from an Evolution, but an earlier watch. The current calibre 13 has an even better finish. Good luck if someone wants to take the jump! Breitling Original new movement

Great "Watch porn" Thanks for sharing. The 7734 was widely used by different manufactures. I belive even the Soviet used the design as a base for their Poljit Chronographs.
-
Yes, the slide rule on the newest Navitimers and Chronomat Evolutions are slightly out. But it is still useful for aprox. calculations. The older Navitimer replicas (with the old 7750 movement) had the slide rule spot on, though.

Check out Bergies Belts over at TRC!

I just wonder... if the Asian 7750 is not used in any "genuine" brand watches, it might well be a movement designed just for the counterfeit trade??? It seems a bit odd, though..

Yep... The Yachtie is a womans watch. Sea Dweller for the boys! I considered to pass the Yacht-Master on to my girlfriend, but somehow it would not look right on the wrist of a Kindergarten teacher.. @denisegold; congrats! Wear it well!
-
This is one of the weirdest threads I have read here in a long time.. Just thinking that a SuperOcean SF or a PO Ultimate would have been much more belivable than the flashy Bentley GT! Much less likely to be called out!
-
Nice review. The Yacht-Master has been in the shadows lately! :-) It is a very cool sportswatch, although a bit on the "bling-bling" side. The dials is sparkling and the contrast between the polished and buff parts of the bracelet adds some flair. The girls seems to love it. However, I sold mine, same version as this I think. At the end of the day, It was just not my style.

Welcome to the forum. I think you will find that most members will be careful to recommend you where to buy. But as you read, you will find out the places. 200 might be a bit too low for a Chronomat Evo or a Navitimer. These normally run in just below 300, with shipping. Good luck! Both are very very nice watches, and among the best buys!

Thanks for the caseback shot! I remember seeing a comparison of the gen and rep Overseas caseback some time ago. I was stunned by the level of details in the motive on the genuine Overseas.. Alas, It does not seems like the replica has been improved in that area.
-
It looks good, thanks for the notification. I have never really considered Vacheron Constantin... How are the caseback motive with the ship? Better than the previous version?

Please someone give this Navitimer a good home.....

It ended at US $1,213.00 That is just insane! -
I dont really have any vintage reps.. So I hope it is ok to show off my genuines.. After all, many excellent genuine vintage watchescan be bought for the price of a superrep! If I had to pick one vintage, it has to be the LeCoultre.. Or maybe the 1974 automatic Chrono Seiko..?: Or the Heuer Carrera..? But.. In the end, the Speedie Mark II is my favourite, no doubt!

Your AOPA Gigandet are a true beuty, Nanuq! Thanks for your opinion, The Zigmeisterzumba. That was in fact what I had expected, it looks too far gone... But it is impressive that is is still running and the chrono is working, according to the ad. But there is something romantic about dreaming of restoring an old car, house or wristwatch to its former glory... In reality, I tend to take on too many "projects".. I hope the new owner will taks up the challenge, then some day, it will look like this, -
I am so tempted to buy this one.. A rusty but complete and running vintage Navitimer.. Not your usual stuff.. It requires a lot of work, but these are among the coolest Navis ever made. This Cosmonaute has true Space heritage! Just wonder what you guys would consider about the right price for this piece? All original, but the term "nicely vitagized" would be an understatement.. Glad you are happy with it, there can be found some nice deals on eBay once in a while... It is a cool quartz-watch!
-
Yep, that looks like the good old Chineese 7750, the picture where the date is "23" also gives the game away.. I am not sure, but I think that the zipper-case is only for the Link-series. The Carrera serie has a more conventional box

Looking for a watch that goes best with business suit :)
chrgod replied to deepsea's topic in General Discussion
My choice, for the Norwegian National holiday celebration on May 17th.... Rolex Air King, with blue dial. Subtle, sporty and classy. -
Hmm... Colorful combination. It looks a bit odd. I think it make the watch look "vintage", like an old Sub. The Omega bracelet is one of the best around, and it is a part of the visual impression of the Seamaster Pro. But it is nice to have a strap to switch the style once in a while.
-
Thanks! The strap is the rep croco-leather strap for Breitling, I got it from Ruby. It is just wonderful on the BCE. I found that the white face looked a bit pale together with the metal bracelet, the brown strap adds just the right amount of color to the watch. The BCE is a bit too bulky to go with a suit though.. I switched to an Air-King for the party. It would be nice to see the SMP on a brown strap, it sounds unusual!
-
Impressive stuff! I have always been fascinated by the old pocket watches... Time keeping in the most basic form.
-
Well... I have noticed that the guy wears a Daytona among other nice arm candies... He is sure more flashy than most other European politicians..
-
The BCE is back on my wrist...
-
Is there a rep that you would wear into an AD?
chrgod replied to teddy boy's topic in General Discussion
Aquatimer.... Aquaracer.. "Same same, but different!" I have worn my Omega SMP Chrono and the Tag Heuer Link non-chrono replica in dealers without any worries. As said, they are more interested in talking with me for a possible sale... If I had worn the IWC Ingenieur, a Patek or maybe a Breguet, I guess it would have been more interesting to check out... -
Pictorial!A rep perfect sub VS gen submariner
chrgod replied to elprimerozen's topic in The Rolex Area
Cool comparison! The Submariner is the evergreen replica... For me, the crown guards is the only real giveaway of the replica. The crown on the clasp is poorly made on this, but on others, as on the Explorer II that By-Tor has made a review on, the crown is just as sharp on the gen.
