Nice wristshots..
It looks good on the wrist. However, personally I will pass the Costeau.
Hopefully, they will implement the same inner-bezel rotation mechanism on a replica of the regular Aquatimer..
NASA-flight qualified Planet Ocean, worn on the Moon! That is a new one! Nice watch.
I used this Breitling analog/quartz fantasy a lot a two-three years ago. However, at the moment it is resting powerless in my watch drawer...
Cool... I have never seen this version!
This is the previous version, the "Chronometre Aerospace" version?
Lucky guy! I am on the look for an Aerospace or a B-1.. Watches that will never be replicated..
I almost got an 2001 Aerospace for 750 USD, but was too late..
Thanks!
Wonderful pictures.. Especially the crown pic shows the nice finish.. The picture of the lume on the pearl is also nice, hour markes still looks a bit lumpy on close up, but better than the first ones..
It seems like the lack of AR on the Asian version is not really noticable with a white dial, very cool.
I have not yet bought the SOSF... Maybe it is about time to finally give in, even though I think that the PO suits my "need" for a big divers watch..
It is maybe This thread you remember? Interesting, yes! I have had a liking for the two-tone blue dial Submariner, but never bought one... I think that could be a big seller if it was done right!
Thanks for the info JF!
Sorry to say, but that looks like an old version, with BIG crown and old, fat datefont.. The GMT-hand seems to be nice and slim though.
Here are two I bought from Andrew a year ago.. An Explorer II and a GMT-Master II, both with the modified Hour hand ETA-Movement.
Nice... I like the hex strap bolts, and the blue lume on the hands!
However it seems like the caseback is marked BR03, while dial and buckle is marked BR01?
Thanks for the little review. Very nice pictures. The new Mont Blancs look indeed very good.. Is is not a very well known brand, with all the pros and cons of that.
I did not know of the different caseback styles, but have seen the display caseback of the chrono version.
Wear it well!
Wow...
Posts like this makes me want to go directly to Ebay and starts the search for parts..
Somehow I think that those who build their own Daytona are often more proud of their watch than many of the the gen owners. They have put some real effort into it!
Gorgeous, wear it well.
I bought this one some months ago.. 1974 Carrera model with calibre 12 movement. Same movement and lefty crown as the coolest Autavias..
Alas, I have never used it, just sits in my watchbox. I prefer the similar cusion-shaped Speedmaster Mark II, when I want a vintage Chronograph. The Carrera is for sale, together with a collection of suitable straps, if anyone gives me an offer in the region of 1200 USD.
I bought this Heuer "Monza" on the streets of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in 2002. Did not know much about replicas back then..It was my first special replica and was my regular watch for two-three years.
Quartz-powered, but with a small seconds subdial@6, ts is not very noticeable. Functional chronograph, 24-hour dial@3 and very well aligned date and date window.
Whops! Sorry about that.... Damned "tabbed browsing" I have updated the link.
A nice house anyway, though, don't you think? A Captains village from 1880 in the Norwegian countryside.. 350000 USD.
Yes.. I have considered the Link GMT for a long time... A really good looking, big watch with a nice textured dial and the good link-bracelet.. But the GMT-hands are off, date weird and other flaws as well.
Nice review, thank you!
I have not seen any pictures of this blue-dialed Navitimer World.. Stunning color!
Remember reading on Timezone about a respected watch entusiast who bought this rep thinking it was genuine. A lot pf people commented on his nice timepiece before it was discovered that it was a fake.. Luckily it ended well, here is the link There was also a later post, where he told that he got a refund.
Thanks for the review, and congratulations on a nice watch, cool with the power reserve indicator.
I have the same movement in a simple Panerai watch. It does the job well.
I had the same problem (strap flexing away from the case) with my strap. I solved it by squeezing in a thicker springbar, 1.78mm I think. That solved the problem. Now, I can strap it thight on my wrist with no flex whatsoever.
I have updated the review, with pictures of "Ultimate generation 1", the quartz-Chronomat replica and the new rose gold and two tone versions.
PT has just announced the new grey dial with proper black subdial, so this is added to the guide..
Some of the older members will remember the old 7750, with "Breitling" decorated rotor. This is not used in the newest BCE, but I have added a picture of it, just for reference.
I think more people will join in on this once pictures of modified Ingenieurs start to show up.
I have just ordered the Ingenieur.. River has a very nice price for the Inge at the moment, and I figure that an Ingenieur with the new datewheel and proper double side AR will cost about the same as the Steelfish. That it will be a custom timepice.
Thumbs up for the work of Lello, and one datewheel for me!
Rolex for me too this friday.. Fresh cool-blue Air-King:
Tomorrow, I wonder if I dare to choose this one for a night out on town. This is by far the one watch I get most comments on.. I wonder how it will perform as a chick-magnet..
I agree with you, to some extent.. Somehow I think that there is not much going on in the replica world at the moment, compared to a year or two ago. Or maybe it is just me.. I am turning more towards genuine vintage watches.
