  1. Yep... This model of the Navitimer uses the stock 6-9-12 configuration of the subdials.. So the date looks much better than on the more recent Navis. Here is my old Serie Speciale:
  2. He he... That is a classic! You are not the first!
  3. These are very old pictures from Silix... I remember those from when I joined TRC two years ago... I will almost guarantee you that you will recieve a Sub diferent from the pictures, since the Sub changes all the time.. Silix is a very nice dealer, but his pictures are not always up to date.
  4. Hmm... Maybe there is a new generation of Explorer IIs.. It is a difficult watch to replicate, all kind of small details. At least "Who's" watch seems to have the correct smaller crown. Nice watch!
  5. Good review, thanks! There has not been many reviews lately, especially not of Pateks! I have had my eyes on these lately.. the ones with proper moonphase-indicator or power reserve indicator. Very nice watches, even though they are not as accurate as some of the new super-reps.
  6. I wonder which American Jeweller who sold this to his father for 1500 USD, as he says in the ad.. "China Canal Street Ideal Luxurious Wristwatches?"
  7. Mega Happy Birthday! Great work!
  8. Check out This post! to get the details on how to order the date wheels. The part name is "Valjoux 7750 - 2557/1 - Date Ring". I have ordered 5-off ETA 7750 date wheels.. To have for my Breitling CA, the Carrera and some future projects.
  9. Congratulations! Canon 400D is a very nice camera. I have only a seven year old Nikon D1 with an 1970ties macro lens... But it is actually an ok combo for taking watch pics. The rest of my camera gear were stolen last year. Guess I need a new camera as well.
  10. I sent a message to the seller yesterday to tell him that it is not allowed to sell reps.. This is the reply: "This is not a replica I own my own licensed watch shop and I have sold well over 600 this is 100 genuine and to make sure they were all checked in harrods before beeing brought in." Well well.. Too bad they removed the listing.. I was going to ask him for a close up picture of the "Messershmitt bf 109" on the caseback, or Messers14977 as it is called on the replica!
  11. Really nice pictures of the silver face model! The box set does look good.. It is a pity that the instructions booklet only is available for the calibre 3,5,7 which is the 2836 and 2892 based models ( i think..) I have the 2014, racing model, and am very satisfied! The "ragged" subdials is much less noticable than expected. Dial pattern is crisp and clear, winding crown feels nice and the decorated rotor is nicely exceuted. Datefont ia a bit off and the bridges on the movement is not polished as on the gen.. But nevertheless the movement looks clean. A very good watch!
  12. The movement in the "PO Ultimate lite" and "Steelfish Lite" is a different beast. That is a Miyota 8215 Copy, as examined by The Zigmeister and PureTime in THIS THREAD. I think this ETA copy is mainly installed in the Noobmariners... Interesting topic.
  13. I always wonder why they don't care to remove the protective plastic... It makes it look so cheap.. The Fighter Navitimer is a nice watch, though!
  14. Cool watch, anyway! But I would be careful wearing it in the US.. The Russians does indeed have some nice designs for little money .. I have always liked the Poljot Sthurmanskie Chronograph. A true manual wind chronograph with Military aviation heritage... The Soviet Breitling!
  15. Nice work! I have been waiting for someone to make a side by side comparison of the Carrera Chrono. Luckily, the date can easily be changed by switching to an eta- date wheel. Strange about the sub dial chapter rings... It is one of those flaws you don't notice at first, but after you discover it, it seems like a glaring flaw.
  16. Hmm... Looks like a big fat vintage Sub... I like the look.. I had a period where I tried almost all my watches on nylonstraps. It is different from most other contemporary watches. However, the PO bracelet is wonderful. It is almost a shame to not use it!
  17. Great information! Thank you for taking time to review this movement, interesting.
  18. I like it, in a way... What is the story behind the red star@12? It seems like there is a Russian word above it... Special edition for "Comerade Eduard Heuer"?
  19. Interesting! The good old Asian automatic, with day-month subdials and central running seconds... Maybe there will be a Lemania (Venus 175 copy) version of this, without the date @6..
  20. It is already discussed Here.. If you read the ad, he has posted a link to pictures of the actual watch for sale... Those pictures seems to be of a gen.. It seems like the seller actually has found a nice picture of a Replica to front his ad!
  21. Thanks for the update! This looks promising!
  22. Beautiful pictures.. Old maps often make interesting backgrounds, like this of my Air-King. An almost black/white picture.. In hindsight, I see that I have used a bit much sharpening, though. Or this one, is my current wallpaper... My 6263 Daytona on top of a time approprioate picture of a Porsche 928! I like the lightning, which adds depth to the dial..
  23. A little tip for those who have the new Carrera Chronograph and want to upgrade to an original leather strap with matching buckle or deployant clasp. The legendary Carrera model from the sixties was often recognized for the nice, perforated leather strap. As far as I know, no rep dealer have a leather strap option for the Carrera Chrono. The FC6205 leather strap for the current Carrera Chrono has special curved ends, to have a snug fit to the case. This guy has a great selection of TH straps and buckles. Prices might be a bit steep, 85-100 USD. Heuer straps and buckles I wondered if this should have been posted in the sales section, but I am not the seller, and assumes this has general interest.
  24. Maybe he is selling a gen, but uses a picture of a rep in the advert! That would be a new way of advertising.. It might be possible that he just has google-searced for a nice Steelfish picture to front his ad.. And have just linked to the "actual pictures".. Maybe this is another proof of how good our reps are.. Even the owner of a gen dont recognize a picture of a replica. But, the whole package seems fishy. The Steelfish is a pretty new model, so it is weird to have lost the papers already.
