This is the most tempting wrist shots of the Steelfish I have seen so far.. Excellent! One of few watches that looks really good with white dial.. Your hour markers look better than most other I have seen, not so "grainy" and well applied. Excellent dial also, I love that circular pattern.. Wear it well.. Still, I think I will skip the Steelfish for some time.. BCE and Carrera Chrono to be delivered after Chineese New Year!

Personally...I am in negotiations to pick up a white dial... This is a good picture of the genuine Graphite dial. It has been posted before, but is still very nice to have as a reference... Also, notice that the datefont fills the entire window, and is a bit bolder than on the rep. ..But, this will still sure remain my favourite Breitling!

I bought the exact same model from Andrew, and are very satisfied.. I am happy that I did not jump on the Planet Ocean until this Ultimate came out. The black version is just as "low key" as a Omega should be. However, my pearl is also slightly offset, as seen in the photo... But it is not noticeable unless you look for it, and I have never considered to return it.. Maybe I will try the "hairdresser-method". Anyway, it is the only thing I am slightly dis-satisfied with, and it remains my best buy! As By-Thor said; " It feels just like a genuine watch! ... One thing I wondered about, but did not mention... Why is the inside of the caseback stamped with "2160"?? The inside of the caseback has good engravings, without any spelling errors.. So what is the story behind 2160...? The subs I have seen so far have been engraved with the model number in the caseback..?

Graphite and Grey dial are two different dials, however very similar to the "uninformed". Biggest difference (to me) is that the "Automatic" on the dial is red on the Graphite an white on the grey. Check out Kings Site; www.cclv.net. She has the grey and the Graphite listed side by side.

Very well done pictures of a nice watch! I like the lume shot. Interesting to see that you got a ETA 2834-2 movement... I guess that is similar to the more common 2824-2 and 2836-2. Date mag is a bit too small for my taste, but I am sure that lot of people will find it correct.

Thanks for someone finally mentions the Mickey watch! My girlfriend was slightly confused that nobody had mentioned Mickey, which she thinks is the coolest of my watches. It is a new watch, only quartz but has a nice retro-style. Quite different. I still would like to have one of the original 1920-30 ties Ingersoll Mickey Mouse-watches... Yes.. I am still impressed about how you did that! I sent an email to the fire station in Bonkers, but never got any reply. It is a long time ago, and I guess they can't keep track of all former employees.

Great photos! The dreamlike surrondings suit the Explorer style. The white dial Explorer II is one of my favourite watches. I don't have one myself yet, but half a year ago, I bought one for a friend, from Andrew as well. Here is a picture of that one, compared to the catalogue pic. The crown and crown guards are obviously smaller on the gen, otherwise it is a very good rep.

Some new watches have joined the collection. Most important is probably this 1977 Heuer Carrera with all black PVD case. Reference 110.571 I have always been fascinated by these early automatic chronographs with lefty crown. The development of this microrotor movement was a joint venture between Heuer, Breitling and Dubois-Depraz ( which developed the chronograph module). The first movement was called "Calibre 11", it was quickly improved with faster beat as Calibre 12. The later version calibre 14 added a GMT-function, while the calibre 15 dismissed the chronograph-hour counter in place of a running secounds counter. The Breitling Chrono-Matics which use this movement are expensive, the Heuer Autavias and Carreras are a little cheaper. I have also seen some Hamilton use this movement. Here is mine. A watch which there never will be made an accurate replica of. There are reps of the Breitling Chrono-matic, which uses the manual Lemania movement, without date. The Wristshot. Not a big watch, comfortable size. To be honest, I was a bit disappointed about the watch at first. Some scratches on the crystal, but that does not really bother me. I like white/black, easy readable watches. But this one looks very plain. And the lack of running seconds are actually a bit annoying. The biggest drawback was that is uses 18mm straps, too narrow for such a big watch. So far, it will stay in my collection.

The Daytona in this thread over at Time Zone is probably one of the least accurate Daytonas I have ever seen. It even has a date! But nevertheless I was amazed to see that the replica was powered by a genuine mechanical chronograph movement, probably the Poljot 3133 which is based on the Valjoux 7734 ( correct me if I am wrong). It is a strange mix of rather expensive parts and completly wrong look.. The replicamakers have even taken care to engrave Rolex on the bridge of the movement! It might be one of the worst reps around, but if there was such a thing as a "Replica museum",this would be an interesting piece! Why didn't they use the movement to make a nice Heuer Monaco replica instead!

I think we are talking about different dials here. TTK has posted pictures of the dial with Arabic numbers. The newest Evo replica is so far only avaliable with the stick hour markers.. That dial has circular pattern on the dial. Here is the gen:

One thing is worth to mention regarding the modified 7750 used in the 3-6-9 Navitimers. As far as I understand; The extra gears added to move the 30-minutes counter from 12 o'clock to 3 o'clock does not introduce any additional stress to the movement during regular use. The constant running seconds are still at 9 o'clock. The modified 7750'ies used in new Daytonas and the IWC Chronographs is another story. Here, the running seconds are moved from 9 o'clock to six... and there are additional gears which run all the time.. I have had both the "old" Navitimer ( white Series Speciale) and the new 3-6-9 version. Both have been reliable. The SS is sold, but the 3-6-9 is still one of my favourites, despite the recessed date. The intricate dial has very good detailing, however the slide rule does not align perfectly.. Not a big deal.

The purpose of showing three dates (yesterday, today and tomorrow) is that you can see what date it is today even when one of the hands are hiding todays date. I agree that it looks weird.. Especially on the otherwise clean looking IWCs. Some nice new TagHeuers there.. Thanks for sharing!

Well... At least I think that the movement picture shows a genuine 3130 Rolex movement, or it is the best finish on a replica movement I have ever seen. Judging from the sun/shadows, those pictures were taken in the same serie as the others.. But, I agree that it is weird to put a genuine watch on a replica bracelet.. They have not even bothered to remove the plastic wrapping on the bracelet. And a watch with plastic wrapped bracelet screms rep to me.. I would not have felt comfortable bidding on this one..

Take a Google picture search on "CJF2114", and you will see that this is the correct model number for the Blue dial Link Chronograh. "YD6538" is the individual serial number, I assume. Good choice, wear it well!

The Prada Saffiano rep are not bad either.. Is is more stylish and in-fashion than the regular ladies replicas out there. I bought one for my GF. Nice thick leather strap and quite well made. The box is crap. Only quartz though, but the preference for mechanical watches seems to be on the y-cromosone... Most women don't care about that.

Some wise man once said: "Mechanical Chronographs are not for everyone.." That is sure true with the Asian 7750. I have been lucky so far, also with the nice SMP Chrono I bought from you.
