  1. Wow..That's one cool vintage Omega... military Style! Vintage 6263 today. Frozen subdial@6!
  2. Does it have a date window@4 AND a date-subdial@6?? Looks like both says 8.
  3. Or you can just buy new hands, to go with the ETA7750.. A set of new hands are cheap. Try Ofrei. If I remember correctly, the old Asian 7750 has the same hand size as ETA7750.
  4. Thanks for the pictures! I really like that "Double Wristshot"... Nice comparison.. The Gerald Genta Casedesign reminds me of the Rolex Oysterquartz.. Cool! I have to have one of these.. but which one..? Sexy Chrono, with somewhat possibly troublesome movement but no datefont issue, or plain version with bulletproof ETA...
  5. Good advices from Vric My experiences is that most independend watchsmiths are ok with working with ETA-replicas, but rather not work on the Chineese Sea-Gull movements.
  6. Online translation, I presume.. Sounds like a cross between Norwegian, Dutch and English.
  7. I cant let this thread die yet.. Quartz-replicas are an interesting theme, which are seldom discussed in here... There are at least two more cool quartz-based replicas out there that deserve attention.. The TAGHeuer Monaco Sixty-Nine and the Microtimer. The 69 is a cool reversible watch, combining manual wind and quartz movement, a nice special rep that has not recieved much attention here. Does anyone have some experiences with this? http://replica-watch.info/forum/viewtopic.php?t=5853 The Microtimer is a plain digital watch.. Looks like a Casio, I have only seen the replica on Silix' site http://www.watchsilix.com/product.asp?id=723 For me, the major flaw of these are that the TH-logo is not engraved on the top-plate, but just a stick-on.
  8. Cool pictures, of a beautiful watch! I hope it is waterproof.
  9. I remembered wrong, luckily. When I opened the caseback I saw that the battery sits under the white plastic sheet, which are fastened by two small screws. Battery change is not as intuitive as on mainstream watches, but easy enough.
  10. Vintage Omega Speedmaster Professional Mark II, bought in August.. Not very expensive, but a really lovely vintage watch. It always makes me smile, and I love that smooth manual winding. It is on leather at the moment, vintage bracelets are flimsy! Naturally, I choose genuines of those which there are no decent replicas available. Many vintages are great value for money, and have much more character than factory fresh pieces!
  11. I am proud to represent the regular TAGHeuer Link. It might not be the sexiest rep around, but in terms of accuracy it is close to spot on.. As far as I know, it is the only one on the list where the rep uses the same movement as the gen..( ETA 2824/ 2836).. Just waiting for the new 1:1 Steelfish, which also uses modified ETA2824 in the genuine!
  12. Yep, it is the backlight which is blue. Sorry for the misunderstanding. When you press the button@11, it lights up for 3-4 seconds. ( On the genuine the seconds hand halts when the light is on, in order to save energy. Afterwards, it jumps the interval the lights has been on. ) The caseback is an ordinary screw-on type.. If the screws were real, I bet the assembly process, and the rep had been much more expensive. I will buy a new CR2016 battery for mine tomorrow! :- )
  13. I looked at the X-33 this evening, and took some shots for those interested. The battery was flat ( Digital display still runs), so I opened the caseback. It looked better than I remembered, the movement fills out the whole case, and there is an o-ring. :-) I will finally do a review of this watch, in a few days. It deserves that. Until then, some pictures. The X-33 was never on Apollo 11.... ..... Even though the caseback says "First watch on the Moon" This is a replica of the first version of the X-33, and should actually only have the Speedmaster logo on the back. But the cool engraving suits it well. Nice blue Lume. "Blue Moon" **Edit: Blue Backlight** Tintin and Haddock find it quite impressive... They are amazed by the details echoing the original Speedmaster Pro, as the lugs and the two dots@12 o'clock.. The movement and battery are hidden by a plastic sheet. It is fastened by two small screws. Battery change is not difficult. The movement looks proper, and fills the case. Wristshot. Not titanium as the gen, but a nice, heavy watch.
  14. It is the same movement as in the "Indy 500" replicas? The Aquaracer is a better looker. The TAGHeuer logo is much better also... Nice watch! The Indy has one advantage, though.. The bezel with Tachy-sccale is already fixed!
  15. I actually prefer this "old" version. The current design changes just makes the dial busier and less pure tool watch. Changes on a watch like the Seamaster should improve function, but I assume Omega try to move upmarket and look more expensive... By the way, I added a link to this post in my Seamaster Pro Chrono Review.
  16. I think they are ok.. Actually more striking than the Panerais, in my opinion. They stand out from the crowd. But not my taste.. I went from 40mm up to 44-47mm and back to 40-42mm, back to normal.
  17. Very nice, sporty and classy... And it is on the proper racing leather strap.
  18. Well well... I hope you will have some money left after Christmas shopping... It seems as the Mark III version is worth to wait for!
  19. Good choice with the X-33! My girlfriend actually likes it better than most of my other, more expensive watches. It even has proper backlight and alarm, but I never really found out how to use the alarm. Advanced watch!
  20. It is a very nice watch... Yours even has the polished bezel of the current generation... I belive most other reps I have seen has the black plastic bezel and are without the circular tracks on the dial.. The polished bezel looks much more classy! Like this: The only thing I question, is that the white border around the logo seems to be too thick.. The subidial@2 is a 1/10th seconds totalizer on the rep as well? There are even vintage quartz replicas out there... I have wanted this for some time now. It is actually pretty close to a genuine Chronosplit!! The worlds first watch with a combination of digital and analog dials.
  21. The TAGHeuer Indy 500 quartz Chronograph is a very good replica. But the genuine is just about 500 USD on eBay. Omega X-33 is my personal favourite among quartz-replicas. :-) Is is multi-functional, as a quartz watch should be. The rep is also decent true to the original (first version). The X-33 is a rare replica, however Silix has it until stocks run out.. http://www.watchsilix.com/product.asp?id=812
  22. What about the Pradas that Prefect-Clones and Trusty have? http://perfect-clones.com/prada-c-150.html They are more "chick" than most other woman-replicas.. Only quartz, I know, but most ladies couldn't care less.
  23. Wow... There is nothing like a genuine! I could die for that pearl.. Looks like the warranty card says "Seanaster" Congratulations!
  24. Not trying to sell it here on RWG, fitmic.. But I was thinking about trying to sell it on QXL.no , and made the picture for that occasion.. (7750 based Reps like these were easily sold for 4000 NKR. But Qxl changed their friendly policy against replicas before I got around to sell it.) I will edit the picture and remove the sales text, it is inappropriate here.
