  1. Welcome Odin! :-) Sorry, I cant help you with the dial question. You might want to post it in the Panerai section.
  2. Good looking watch. Nice price also! My guess is that it is assembled in Asia. It is probably as German as my Swissmatic is Swiss!
  3. A fantasy model, but very nice nontheless! It looks well made, good pictures! I have always liked the analog/digi Breitlings. One of my first online replica purchases was this one from Silix: Actually, this is one of the watches that get most positive comments. The alarm does not work on mine though. It misses a spring between the movement and caseback. Lately, I have been lustering after the genuine Aerospace.. It still is no good replica of it.
  4. The Speedmaster Mk4 is a very nice and complicated watch.. You have good taste! However, 1300 USD should be top price.. I suppose you get box and all the original accessories for that price?? 1300 USD should even buy you a nice pre-moon Speedmaster.. I bought my nice Speedie Mk 2 for less than half of that. A different watch but I belive Mk2s are at about the same price level as the Mk4s. Good luck!
  5. Not bad for the price.. Date font and magnification seems better than most bottom end Rollie reps I suppose you did not get a functional GMT-hand?
  6. Thanks for all the good feedback! This forum (as well as TRC and the previous RWG) has really expanded my knowledge and fueled my new hobby. All the excellent reviews I have read during two years have inspired me a lot! Sometimes I feel that I am too much into details.. We are spoiled with good reps. but, that is what makes this hobby fun.
  7. I will join in. My parents live in Bærum (Høvik) , so I can combine the GTG with visiting them a weekend. I have just started to work offshore, and do not yet have a regular schedule, but I will try to be onshore the weekend the GTG will be.
  8. Thanks! Yes, I have been lucky to get good datefont on both my SMPs. Actually, the datefont on the Asian 7750-powered Chrono is similar to my ETA 2836 SMP..?
  9. My first really quality replica, two years ago, was the ETA2836 Omega Seamaster Professional, the James bond watch. It was an excellent choice, ans fueled my interest in replica watches. Personally I yet have have to see a better and more accurate replica.. The new Seamaster Pro Chrono is close, in some ways better, but still not quite the same level. Seamaster Pro from Silix, and SMP Chrono from TTK. Wave pattern is present on the regular SMP to the left as well, even though it does not appear in the photo. The difference in the pearl is very obvious. I am still enthusiastic about my SMP. Later purchases of Panerais, Breitlings and Rollies have had their fair share of my attention, but the SMP is the one that gets most wrist time. The chrono-version of the SMP was one of few watches that grabbed my attention several years ago, before I got into wristwatches and replicas.. When there finally was a good copy of it, I did not hesitate! The regular Seamaster Professional and the Chrono version are two different watches, but having much in common, they can be compared in some ways. The following is some observations and reflections. The Seamaster Chrono is one of the iconic Omega watches. It was launched in 1993, and won the "Watch of the year" award in 1994. There are still very few chronometer-certified chronographs, and even fewer which are certified for use at 300 meters. The genuine There was even a Titanium/Steel version, as well as Titanium/Gold. If you don't like troublesome chronos, you can always go for this version: The very special multi calender Seamaster Professional I bought my watch from TTK, from the very first batch. With mixed luck with the 7750, I thought it would be wise to spend some extra to get an inspected watch. TTKs first offerings did not include bezel insert alignment, but TTK sent me an aligned watch anyway! Very good! My watch arrived after 18 days, just when I started to get a little bit worried. TTK writes on his instructions that average shipping is about 16 days, so it was as expected. I was never in doubt! Initial impressions of the Seamaster Professional Chrono is very good. The first thing that strikes me are the wave pattern. It is much more prominent than on the regular Seamaster Pro replica. It catches light in a very special way. The AR could have been better, as usual. Wristshot. It is 22.30, so the date has started to shift. The SMP Chrono is a thick watch, compared to the regular SMP. The links in the bracelet are also somewhat thicker. Overall fit and finish is very very good.. Fit between endlinks and case, bezel and case and pushers are all good. However, the bezel insert sounds a bit loose when tapping on it with a fingernail. I believe it is properly fixed though, just some gap between the bezel and insert. The pearl on the bezel is misaligned. All the watches seem to suffer from this at the moment.. The pearl itself seems to be quite close to the gen. The bezel turns a bit more freely than on the regular SMP, but still with proper
  10. On the second watch, it is not possible to see the date. Strange.. I was looking at Wo-Marts vintage Rolexes yesterday. He has three different vintage Explorer IIs.. http://www.wo-mart.com/index.php?cPath=21_56_72
  11. Very nice collection! No Rolexes and no Omegas? Interesting to see that the Ingeniur in fact seems to be as big as the Panerais..
  12. Bring your genuine Breitling Emergency, Dani. I look forward to play with that after a few beers... or maybe not!
  13. Both dates should be ok for me. I live in Stavanger, but my parents live in Bærum, so I am often home. Jeg jobber offshore, ofte på kort varsel, men jeg skal prøve å holde den helgen åpen.
  14. A short interesting review made by an eBay member, to help people from beeing scammed by fake Tag's.. It point out some of the minor flaws, as crown logo, serial numbers on caseback and endlinks. Nice info http://reviews.ebay.com/Fake-Wjf2110-Tag-H...000000001210602
  15. Agree! Time for a get-together in Oslo soon..
  16. Welcome Jonas! Nice watches you have bought! I also have the Chrono Avenger Ti, A big, thick beast! Take care, and watch your wallet!
  17. Nice design, somewhat unsual to be an Omega, although it reminds me a bit of the Rattrapante... How is the caseback? Solid or display?
  18. Bugatti Atlantic... Designed by Ettore Buggatis son, if I remember correctly.. One of the worlds most desirable cars.. Actually, I think that Jaeger made instruments for more humble cars like Peugeot as well..
  19. A well written article for you guys who prefer the black, newer Seamaster Pro Chrono... Why I really don't care the new Seamaster Pro Chronograph-Chronometre... Personally, I prefer the blue "Bond" version, with the skeleton hands. It is one of the "Omega-Icons". A replica of the black version will no doubt suffer from the same sunken date as the Broad Arrow and Navitimers.. This new replica is definently worth the money! Hopefully, I will soon finish my mini-review with comparisons with the old, ETA- SMP replica.
  20. Congratulations on your new watch, Dani! Nice choice! The king of Quartz watches.. ( besides the Omega X-33 of course! ) Just like with old second hand prestige cars, like Bentley, Rolls Royce and Porsche.. The may be cheap to purchase, but cost of parts and service takes some of the joy of the ownership...
  21. Nice post, RageRover!
  22. I still can't get over that the hands seems to be way too short on the replica Ingeniurs... Else, I had definently been in on a deal in the 180 USD range..
  23. A good looking watch.. Its style reminds me of the dashboard of a 1930ties car.. Even though the rep is good, the sunken date ruins the deal for me..
  24. Nice choice, Dani.. I have seen a couple of nice watches on finn.no. A Breitling B-1 among others.. Second hand watches in Norway are actually quite cheap...
  25. Judging from the crown and crown guards, it looks real... The CG's has the "U" shape, not the "V" shape that still hunts the replica..
