  1. I've just stumbled across this. They claim to have 17 in stock. I would take that with a pinch of salt, but worth an enquiry http://www.silix-prime.net/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=115_150_190&products_id=1618 just to be clear, this is not a TD here. Several members including myself have bought from them. Normally I would stick to TD's, but when searching for a watch that is not easily available one most sometimes take chances.
  2. Always great to get the lowdown on who is good. Those builds look tasty, what are the specs please?
  3. Discount for forum members, this I like?
  4. $385 ex factory, $500 serviced and six month warranty
  5. Adrian, delighted to see you here again. I would welcome and support you posting more often. Your parts and watches are highly acclaimed and it would be great to have you showcase with us.
  6. Or contact @TickleShoes USA distributor of Yuki clones
  7. Others may see more traffic, but this is still the home of serious knowledge?
  8. ^^^ I told you not to let him near the champagne fountain! Look he has fallen over again^^^
  9. Atmospheric dust has glorious properties when combined with the human eye.
  10. @SSTEELIs the closed factory case still the darling or are the new releases good?
  11. Seem so so mate. I haven't seen a 7753 for that price in a long time.
  12. Thanks mate. I knew you would know and I knew you had a 2254.50. I couldn't remember if yours was gen or rep?
  13. Indeed it is. I remember walking the dog there when I was a kid
  14. You're welcome and welcome to the forum too.
  15. Totally agree. I know a ton of watch guys. I know precisely one person with the gen of this watch, Unlike a Rolex most people, even most watch enthusiasts won't really be familiar with the model and those that are could probably call it out whatever you did to it
  16. Partially true. ETA had a serious go at stopping selling, but although supply was limited they were available. Then the economy and the Swiss watch trade went into decline and ETA started selling more freely. None of which matters though, because if you buy a genuine Swiss movement fitted to a Chinese replica watch it is more than likely a used unit pulled from an old watch and fitted with a mix of used and Chinese parts. Not worth the extra money, stick with a Chinese ETA clone, they are not bad at all, though sometimes a little dirty. If it does break there is always the option of fitting an ETA replacement movement sourced from a reputable parts supplier, it is of course a direct swap.
  17. My main thought is that @kernow is your man for this. He has a few gen and franken SMP. I know he has put gen dials and inserts in rep cases. I'm sure he will be along before too long
  18. Sharing information is what we do here. Not cheap, but he is good. He has a son Jensen who has a site www.vintagewatchmaker.com much the same stuff, but occasionally one is cheaper than the other, so worth looking at both
  19. Shame, it's a great looking watch. M2M or buy the nearest watch you can for the case and buy a dial and bezel from Cousins or eBay. I think the ceramic is available. I don't know if the case is identical, but I'm betting someone here does. @kernow have you any ideas mate?
  20. No bother at all, no don't edit, it's fine as it is. My post was meant to be read absolutely at face value, no hidden meanings at all?
  21. ^^^Baraka Allahu feek^^^ May God bless you.
  22. Welcome to the community. Please feel most welcome to join us in our current threads, maybe spend some time looking at some of the past threads that interest you. Can I please ask you to read the sales rules carefully before listing sales as none of the Mods here like having to pull new members for infringing sales rules?
  23. The Noob V7 is very, very good. As to how good, that is largely subjective and you will have to make your own mind up. A quick search of the forum will bring up a night's reading on reviews, comparisons and franken builds. You also don't say which site you found the information on, was it a TD?
  24. I thought I had seen one of these on a dealer's site recently. I can't even remember whether it was a TD or not. Anyway, talk to Mary @marywatch, if anyone can get it, she will find one. This one? http://www.pf-818.com/omse10001-seamaster-professional-black-swiss-eta-2824-2.html?___SID=U
