AMG uses Mercedes "Base" engines... seems to work out pretty well for them eh? If it ain't broke don't fix it. I guess it's your own opinion as to whether or not UN is "boring" stylistically but I don't think that they're boring as a company...they've got a pretty solid history (then again, so does AP...just a matter of preference really)

Yeah...no...gonna say you're wrong on this one. There's a difference between faking a case and "faking" a movement... especially if the patents on said movement expired long ago- making the IP related to the construction of those movements public domain (IE- Seagull copying the 2892 and billing it as their own movement- perfectly legal and an AWESOME movement btw)... the A7750 has been praised by The Zigmeister as being a great movement- especially after servicing. If the ETA 7750 is having more problems than a properly oiled A7750...that speaks volumes doesn't it?

Very true! Indeed... my grandfather had an XJ6... I remember my dad calling it the British Songbird as it would tweet, purr, chug...you name a sound and that car made it! Reason: zero...just it's personality. I remember him ranting about Lucas electrics on one of his older cars when I was much younger...thankfully-Lucas is no longer providing for Jaguar! Sidenote: A good friend has a TR6...that car would just decide to not work and then start right up a few hours later...no logic needed !
