  1. Considering the number of rep cases produced...probably not.
  2. Very true...but to your point: 100% of the people that buy a DNA are 100% certain of the fact that their watch is crafted from one of the most horrific maritime tragedies ever... If you like the style, I'm glad you'd rather a rep than a gen
  3. Hey all, So I know this is a rep board but...We're all watch lovers right? Good! I say take a peek at the watch below... its cheaper than a low end rep ($95+S/H) and it's NOS so it's not even pre-owned! (Or...well...pre-worn)... might make a great gift for a loved one, friend, or yourself! Enjoy! S Edit: Hmm...the link isn't linking... www.oldwatch.com/ click "wristwatches" then from the drop down on the right select "All the rest" (at the bottom) and check "Under $250"...there's a few entries there but the Croton NOS watch should be in there somewhere...sorry the link doesn't work!!
  4. God I truly hate both of them as human beings... but in terms of watch collections JM does have some great stuff...he's active on Rolex boards regarding Daytonas...
  5. There is something kinda [censored] up about using the Titanic for a luxury piece.. in addition, the whole "Titanic" thing is the main reason to buy the gen so a rep would really defeat the purpose...
  6. Very, very well said...Search feature is your friend, however if they're listed on this site they're better than 99.99% of dealers on the web!
  7. I feel like I've seen it but I'm not sure it's a bang up rep... also- due to the type of watch, not sure what mods could be taken, etc... I'd get it from a reputable seller if anything but I wouldn't get your hopes up...
  8. NI? I'm from MA/CT depending on the time of the year/ what my company wants! I agree with Fakey though...good SMP's are very, very hard to fine... damn He Valve!! Edit- was the NI at me?
  9. Style points for that one!
  10. Right...way too many were implanted... obviously overkill and please tell me how 14 children are going to get proper love and attention... come on.
  11. Agreed...stunning boxes to hold a spectacular collection!
  12. It's a classic watch and a great beater...esp. if you like to travel!
  13. Great pics and it looks like you're having a wonderful time !!
  14. Great find! Thanks!!
  15. Welcome! Have a read of the excellent beginners guide posted in my signature! S
  16. I love GO but that particular watch looks like it's trying way too hard to be a Sub...that's just my particular opinion... You might want to check out the Glycine Lagunare, some of Girard Perrageaux's offerings, OR you could go with a Sea-Dweller (not the new one) to be a little bit "different" vs the ubiquitous Submariner...
  17. Wow....the evolution is really incredible! Nice pics!!!
  18. VC for this piece...
  19. You'll need the "old factory" version or a custom crystal from what I've read... it's tough to find a "good" Seamaster now a-days.... I think there "MAY" be one in the sales section on this board!
  20. Thanks!
