  1. seeing it for the first time. will read it later this week. Thanks, very interesting!
  2. Superb. bookmarked it and will use it later to modd my own CG.
  3. As always, you always get what you pay for. Having a 6497-2 or a 2824-2 or 2836-2 serviced will cost me around 55-65 euro. Having a A7750 by my local watch smith (who also services gen Rolex, Breitling, IWC, Omega, etc etc) will cost me 175 euro. that is 260usd. And here in The Netherlands that is still cheap. Going to a jewelry shop, they will charge around 350-450usd for servicing a 7750, let alone a A7750. Servicing A7750 often takes more time than a 7750, because not all quality is up to par. For instance sometimes the construction of the dial to the movement or the hands placement is not an easy and fast done job. And as stated the extra gearing with seconds @ 3/6/12 will be a bit more work as well. And most important, it is best if the watch smith has experience with servicing Asian 7750.
  4. it is safer than some methods, but still totally not safe. Several times this has gone wrong already. Best way to be 100% safe en no issues with customs is getting a dealer from the EU. like I said.
  5. I think it is quite expensive and the question is does it really have AR like the seller claims...
  6. yes, Eurotimez ships from both Asia as well as the UK. If you want to avoid customs ask for UK shipment.
  7. Indeed not possible. If you are looking for high reliability as you also swapped the a7750 for a ETA, then let the sec @ 12 movement have a full service/overhaul. As Zigmeister also said earlier today/this week, the seconds@ 12 is a good reliable movements but has the same problems as all A7750 and that is dirty movements. Having a full overhaul will make it just as good/nearly as good as a ETA 7750 would run.
  8. Very nice post and very nice tuturial on how to make the watch perfect, specially the part with blue loctite on the bracelet. On many Breitlings the tightness of the screws is not perfect. And specially on some Legend models, the tubes in which the screws are screwd are a bit too short, making the screws fall out sooner than with other models. Learned this from having this model as well. But I do feel the need to say something about the way you grease the rubber O-ring of the case back. And I am surprised why no one else says something about this. Imo you put way too much grease there. According to most watch smiths, only the rubber o ring itself needs to have a layer around it, very small layer of grease. To keep the contact with both case and back. No more, no less. putting it on the case will later also attract some dirt. when putting to much grease on the o ring, or as done here in the youtube video, a lot of grease on the case itself, the chances grow to have that grease goes to the place where the movement sits. specially in extreme conditions, like heat and summer, the grease will become more fluid and will go along the metal parts to places where it should not be: the movement. It won't happen in a few days or weeks, but think of wearing for many months/years and warmth and movement of the wrist what it will do... Just my 2 cents..
  9. the scam sites useally don't stay up too long. And it is still same quality as 300usd. It is just a nice market for several hundreds of pieces in which the factories are not interested, they think in thousands of watches. Also because there is already a huge supply of relatively good rolex reps.
  10. there is no good Daytona with seconds @ 6. not in the price range below 300usd. Period. only other option is the El Primero and that will cost lots of time to build and also a lot of money. there is no market for 600-800usd watches. Besides us couple of geeks from these replica forum sites no other people would buy them. And there is no good movement available with has a proper seconds @ 6 without a poor modification job with placing 5 extra gears between the second @ 9 to the one @ 6. Then quartz would be your choice, but still not good. because of the ticking seconds hand which should be moving smoothly. If you so much want to go for a Rolex, why don't you try the ultimate GMT master 2 which are out now or the very good Deepsea. Have them modded, with for instance a relume job by Vaccum, have the movement serviced and you will have a killer looking watch with a very reliable movement.
  11. Is there more than Panerai?

  12. Yup, that is why you should contact the dealer. standard crystal look fugly and most curved ones don't fit, let alone of having AR. And then again, the pam253 crystals are very easy to crack. when buying a case + crystal from a dealer, YOU'D BETTER BUY 2!!!!!!!!!

    PAM 243

Congrats Dluddy with your newest toy. Only now I saw your post about the PAM243 you mentioned. Looks great. And thanks for the advice. Today I got a pam199 ultimate and a wrong version (missing HE letters) of a PAM243. I will get a PAM243 soon from where Dluddy bought it as well. Will do all the modds Dluddy also mentioned. Will also consider swapping the the crystal for a ultimate crystal with better cyclops and AR. if needed one side of the AR can be removed the end up with single sided AR like gen.
  14. very difficult to get. Best is to order a new case + crystal. dealers don't sell the crystals separate on this one as far as I know.
  15. Taking over threads and then even complaining about it that nobody is answering your questions which you posted in someone else his thread is in general not really appreciated on this forum. Specially if this is just your first and second post. Great introduction you have going on there my friend... Davidsen is as far as I know not an official dealer on RWG. But he is a dealer on Reggeek.com and has his own 'department' over there. You already had his email address. What you still need is his photo website: http://s40.photobucket.com/albums/e230/watchmmx/ He does not have a store front website. Hope this helps. Good luck and please post us some pictures or start a thread when you received your watch...
  16. Can't stop looking at this one. Feel bad for the poor VDB. Just imagine how many hours of modding the case to this thin beauty. Truly a piece of art.
  17. Lani said it before me: DSN is best for lume. Believe me, the difference between rep lume and dsn/modded lume is very very big. Once you saw it, you would never want to go back to standard rep lume (= almost no lume at all). And same with the strap. besided metal bracelets and rubber straps, all rep panerai straps kind of sucks. You should also replace that to make it look like a stunner. better 1 great rep than 3 basic once.
  18. Some true beauties! Looks awesome. Have a question about the homemade 6152-1 Luminor Panerai Desto (Cortebert 620R). you wrote it is homemade. Did you make it yourself? Because I really would like to know how you modded the crown guard with the round pin on top of the cg. I saw this on most of VDB work and the question has been bugging me on how to make it look like that. Using the same pin or a different pin? Pls let us know...
  19. It is not Swedish customs, it is the shipping agent of Josh in China who made a mistake. You should inform him, and even maybe send him a picture of the unreadable material, so he can see what is going on. And with that info+ picture he can confront his shipping agent better. The shipping agent is very important part of the rep business. without a good one lot's of shipments will be stopped in customs. And a good one, no shipment will be stopped....
  20. why don't you make some better pictures, preferably in daylight. And open the case back, so we can see the movement. how is the lume? more bright than on a rep?
  21. it is great, but the buckle is so big, that if you rest your arm on a table, that it does not always wear comfortable. Ted Su has some ceramic coated ones.
  22. Deniz, in your link, both are the good versions indeed. I have the same versions here. and about the pictures in the puretime link of the pam0252, the dial is not as blue as in the pictures there. this is due to the color of the AR coating. in real life it is realy dark blue, almost near black.
  23. the AR on these things is a bit too blue. if it is double sided AR, than you could polish one side of, to make it look more like gen. watch itself looks ok for the price range. asian 6497-2 is also a good reliable movement. a non-black strap will make the watch pop out more from the wrist.
