After proper servicing...they should be good for 5 years until the next service (they will run longer than that without service...but you increase the chances of premature wear on expensive parts that may need replacing).

I've looked at it...but never bought it. It does sound interesting...but would guess long term, it would be hard to get parts if anything happens...so shipping back to China for service would be required. Keep us posted if you get it...

Remember...although the caseback is off...the rep itself is quite accurate...and you can remove the rose gold from the serial badge to correct that flaw. The link you sent was of a quartz version...which I think is a step down from the other route. I wonder if you could buy both...do a caseback swap...hmmm...or see if you can get a replacement caseback for the quartz and see if it fits on the auto...

Hey folks...it appears RedWatch...our very own Noob-of-the-Year (even though at the rate he's moving is definitely no Noob) will be in the area and we're thinking of doing a short GTG. The initial date that seems good is Friday, May 14...somewhere downtown ideally. So far...we're hoping for at least RedWatch, Andreww and myself in attendance...and are now wondering if others might be around as well? Let's see if we can do a bit of a GTG!!

This is absolutely one of my goals one of these days...but would suggest you try on the gen GMT IIc...it definitely can be used for dress/cas (not formal dress mind you)...that's one I'm considering for my Andy GMT movement.
