  1. Usually I just bring a cheap digital or 1 understated one I can swim one.
  2. Great piece. Good to get some feedback on the new bracelet. Looking awesome.
  3. I don't have a tricompax modded 7750 in any form (wide or narrow subdial spacing) to test the dial on...or I would try it out for you. I have Sixx's Ayrton Senna HBB ...but it's not mine...so don't feel comfortable taking it apart.
  4. This is the Ubi-tona dial mounted on the Seagull ST19, sans hands: There are more pics but no dimensions in my guide on freezing the 6-o-clock subdial if you need them.
  5. As well, I have not seen anyone "reputable" (i.e. Cousins, Ofrei, Somal, etc) selling A7750's in any modified form (bicompax, tricompax wide or narrow, etc) outside of our dealers here on the board who source them from the factories in China.
  6. Whoooah...didn't know that was coming. That is soooo awesome. There's not a day that goes by that I don't think how awesome it is to have the little munchkins in our lives. Fantastic. Big congrats.
  7. Awesome...move over Demsey...bring on the verbal runs. Just kidding...great to see you active!!
  8. Hey Ubi...looks great. I picked that exact piece as it stands for my mother...it's very nice. The Explorer dial would be interesting if Mrs. Ubi is an Exploring kind of gal.
  9. Fun...just picked up an old K&D No. 18 Inverto...it's old so if anything, it should make for some interesting watch photos. Oooooh Francisoc...you may have created a couple monsters here.
  10. Welcome aboard...and a great tale of rep buying in China. As far as hassle goes...you are unfortunately, better off to buy from the dealers here than from the markets in China. This has been proven time and time again by folks going to all the main rep markets in China. Sad that mail order is the way to go. Thanks for sharing this...it's nice to hear other people's stories of finding this forum. You just found yourself the best watch forum around. I hope you continue to share great stories like these.
  11. She already came by for the "massage"? Wow...that's fast. Congrats. It is a great community. AND, remember, all money goes to keep the doors open...no profit generation...it's all about expensive, off shore hosting to protect the privacy of members.
  12. that is a nice watch...and a definite great value. The pics? Great of course. Thanks for sharing.
  13. Holy Cow...what a letter. That's great.
  14. Thanks for this whole set of tutorials. I've read how to do this work, but now seeing all these different examples and the photos really makes things much clearer. If you have any recommendations for a cheap staking set that would work, that would be great. You really are creating quite the collection of technical information that is really really appreciated.
  15. The hands should NOT be ruined. Get some acetone and remove all the paint on the hands which will take off the lume, and then relume the hands. Get a lume product from somewhere like Glow Inc. or whatever which will be harder to work with than the RC Tritec SL stuff...may glow differently...but will look alright. All you do is pain the BACK of the hands with the lume and it will fill the gap and be flat. Alternatively, you can carefully scrape off the paint with a toothpick or pith wood.
  16. Mine tested alright...but the guy that tested mine showed how they fit a bit loose in the case so any bumping of the pushers and it creates a point of ingress.
  17. I'm boring...I just have a pair of Boss Ti ones, a couple Vogues, various brands...I have about 10 pairs I wear on limited rotation. The I.C. Berlins are pretty funky. I couldn't pull them off because my wardrobe is pretty boring.
  18. It's Chinese NY...so I would wait for Ken as nobody can deliver on time right now really...
  19. Hah hah...no I didn't. Stupid me. Thanks for the clarification. I was looking at the most recent replies...flipped back to the start of the thread and read the material but didn't read the dates. Either way, this is good info on the asymmetric pushers and the A7750...I didn't realize that. Thanks Col!
