I agree that a sponsored review is not a good idea.... The person giving the review feels OBLIGATED TO MENTION ONLY THE GOOD STUFF....even if he is reviewing a watch that he does not like.... If a customer buys a watch that differers from what was in the review....then suddenly the seller AND the reviewer are to be held accountable....not good.... The best way to do a sponsored review and avoid any bad juju....is to do a review that is free of all OPINIONS from the reviewer....the review would be based entirely upon numerous facts and specifications and detailed photographs.... This way only the seller would be held accountable for poor quality and it would be very clear as to what you are going to get if you buy the watch....

I think that would work but you might have to make the sharks smaller to fit them on the side of the divers helmet.... I was trying to make use of some of the unused space....maybe it is a little busy....for some reason im not diggin the Poseidon Trident coming out of the top of the helmet either....regardless of what happens the sharks definitely must stay somewhere in the pic....

There has been a lot of debate over this issue....some people claim that it is just fine to go ahead and wind away on your automatic....others say that it is bad for the watch and it can strip the gears or damage the workings.... Me personally....I manually wind my watches about 15 rotations if they are out of juice....if it is running the next day then I just strap it on.... Please feel free to voice your opinion on this subject....I am sorry if this poll has been done before....my search results came up with nothing....

Then what do we do with the term SUPER?...The problem with all the terms that we use is that none of them are clearly defined....1:1....Ultimate....Super....what do all of these terms mean and how are they defined....they mean different things to different people.... WE are the people who decide what these terms stand for and a general consensus should be established that clears the murky waters....I tried to help clear up the 1:1 debate in this poll.... What does a 1:1 copy represent? More steps should be taken to define the terms ULTIMATE and SUPER and perhaps even CLONE....

Thanks for the help guys....thats exactly what I needed to hear....im reluctant to drill out the lug holes because one of them is so off center that im afraid the drill bit will come through the face of the lug....if you look closely at the pic you can see that the one on the left is quite close to the edge....crown guards will be modded soon though.... :D :D

I was not aware that the DRSD had a bi-directional bezel....my bad....I assumed it was uni-dir because most diving watches are....that way if you bump it while diving it will re-adjust in a safe direction....not leading the diver to think that he has more time left on his air supply than he really does.... And yes I will get to work on the CGs one of these days....

I bought this watch from a member over at RWI a few months ago....got it for a decent price....besides the horrible lug holes that are extremely off center and un-moddable....there is another problem....the bezel is bi-rotational....wrong for the SD....which I was aware of when I bought the watch....I dont know what I was thinking....but anyway....needs a new bezel....a correct one....I just dont know if this watch will accept a uni-rotational bezel....please take a look and help out....thanks Maybe I am better off taking out the 2836-2 and putting it into my noobmariner....

You guys have brought up some interesting points....but this is a hard comparison....I believe it is best to see the movement in person in order to make that kind of claim.... We all know that ETA has made more than one version of the famed 2836....is it at all possible that he is selling a different version of the 2892....one that is different from what most of us have seen before.... I do not support WM9 or any of his products....but from what a few of his customers have said about the watches they bought from him....the watch cases are the best....accepting gen parts....perfect dimensions....and so on and so forth....arguably better than the MBW....so I believe at the least that you have a good shot of getting a rep with a fantastic case....even though you will pay big $$$$ for it....somebody need to do a review of the 2892 he is selling so that we can have conclusive evidence that he is trying to pull a fast one on us....

Im sorry to hear that....but to be honest....I think that this whole Steinhausen thing is a big scam....supposedly Steinhausen was some old forgotten about Swiss watchmaker who was the first to produce a watch with a full moon phase 24 hr system....they claim that their watches contain genuine swiss movement when in fact it is running with a very common asian....if you research the history of Steinhausen it is lacking any true genuine history and no pictures of the genuine watches that he made are available....in other words....its all a big marketing scam....and I do not support their products....which by the way are available at The Sharper Image.... Time to spend a little bit of money and get a real watch winder....I did a quick google search and there is a ton of great looking stuff out there....good luck Edit - Spelling errors

Honesty.... hope I did not offend anyone with my response to this poll....just having a little fun.... Tee-Jay....you have brought up an excellent point....if you have poor vision and would like to know what time it is when you wake up in the middle of the night....then I suppose that wearing a watch (With good lume) to bed is a good idea....otherwise....you are all very very strange....lol :lol: I use a digital alarm clock with a HUGE font....so seeing the time is never an issue for me....no wonder your reasoning never occurred to me....

It is ridiculous to shower with a watch on....seriously....it serves no practical purpose.... IT IS EVEN MORE RIDICULOUS TO SLEEP WITH THE DARN THING ON....WHAT IS THE MATTER WITH YOU PEOPLE!!!! Why in the world would you sleep with a watch on....is it some kind of manly attachment that you have to your prized possessions....I seriously dont get it....as for me.....all jewelry comes off before bedtime and shower....except the gold necklace....which will never tarnish

Hey Neil....do you use any photo editing software like adobe photoshop to enhance your photos?...kinda looks like you adjusted the saturation or brightness....contrast....tone curve maybe....just wondering.... Heres a couple that I touched up the other day....your noobmariner by the way....

Thank you everyone for your input....I was surprised to see how many people think that a 1:1 gen refers only to the case and specific parts....I was expecting a lot more votes on the other side....it goes to show that although many people focus on the over-all accuracy of their rep....nearly the same amount of people are more concerned about the crucial elements of the replication.... If you think about it....WE are the ones who decide one way or the other....there is no truer authority than US when it comes to this subject....with this in mind....I think it is safe to say....that when the term 1:1 is used to describe the accuracy of a replica....it refers to (Minus the movement) THE ENTIRE WATCH....CASE, DIAL, HANDS, BRACELET (STRAP), BEZEL, INSERT, PUSHERS, CROWN and any other specific parts that require the finest attention to detail in order to earn the 1:1 specification.... Any further input on this subject helps to refine our craft and supports the proper use of this widely abused term....1:1 Fascinating that the Ferrari PAM is spot on....would love to see a thorough review of this watch with gen comparisons....

Thats close enough for me!....Ill just wait untill I can get the GMT version....or I suppose I could take the dial and movement out of the GMT that I got from Andrew and swap....hmmm....not a bad idea as long as the bezel swaps also....

From my understanding....although a few dealers have used the term 1:1 copy when referring to their reps....the watches do have differences from the gen....as in the case with WM9 I have also been led to believe that there has never been a true 1:1 copy of any rep....a few have come close....but no spot on reps....
